Scam Company?
January 18, 2017

Placed an order on 1/9/17, paid for expedited shipping (3-5 days). It is now 1/18/17... no package, no phone number to call company, website would not accept my password, requested new password, didn't work. Spent over an hour trying to figure out how I can get help and an answer as to where the package is. Website is not user friendly! After reading all the other negative reviews I guess I will be kissing $30 goodbye. Do NOT buy from this company!

Positive experience

For the most part everything has been good. But when it comes to how things fit i have learned to order one size larger. The fishing lures were actually very good. Kitchen goods were OK. There are some decent items here

Expensive and late

I paid over £20 extra postage to fast-track my order, it did not arrive until a week after the required date and then I had to spend £20 extra for import tax - three quarter s of which was handling charge by the delivery company. Why this isn't paid when you order, I can only guess it is because they don't really want my business again.

To their credit Light in the Box sent me another item after the original did not arrive & used a courier so its delivery was prompt. Fortunately I had ordered a much bigger size that I normally take so it fits.

Nice jacket, lovely bright color, 2 real pockets, good quality and the fit is also as the size chart says (an M is 36 in EU). I had to pay extra tax at the door, but because i paid for the insurance i got my money back within a week after sending them a ticket with the invoice.

Excessive amount of push notifications
August 25, 2023

Products came in a timely manner, good fit, quality not too bad, the color in the printed shirts was fainted, almost as if the machine ran out of ink.
I blocked the app because of the Excessive amount of push notifications 4 to 5 times a day to buy more stuff. If you start with emails same thing will happen, block and flag for Spam.

Ridiculous shipping cost

I will never order it from LightInTheBox again. I ordered two shirts sweatshirts actually and they were $19 a piece that's not bad $38...but the total cost with shipping was $62.44! I should never have agreed to that but I just clicked through and clicked accept without looking at the fact that the shipping was almost as much as the price of two shirts. So beware - pay attention to the postage from this company it's utterly ridiculous! Go to Amazon instead where costs are clearly shown and you can usually get free shipping

This is a fun, good looking shirt

First off, the delivery was very fast from overseas with excellent tracking. You can't do better than that.
I ordered 3 shirts, two as gifts for my brothers. Perfect! These are good looking Henley shirts made of light weight material that is great for summer wear. The blue color is not navy as described but is quite attractive. I am very satisfied with this order.

I wish I could give less than one star. The experience I have had with this company is RIDICULOUS. I have been e-mailing back and forth for a month now with no results. They sent us an order that we cancelled AFTER we had cancelled then said they would only refund my $50 if we returned the item and paid out if pocket for shipping to China. Our replacement order did not fit and they will only refund me $13 unless we pay to ship it to China which is well over the price of the items. Our third shipment "fits" but definitely not worth $60. In total, they have charged me $174 with no refund or help for the mistakes they have made.
We finally had to take e-mails to our bank and trying to get a refund from them.

I ordered a couple of T-shirts from this site. One arrived and the printing on it is so blurry I thought I needed to get my eyeglass prescription updated. No customer service contact, no phone number, and their chat line just stopped responding. 40 minutes and nothing. Do not buy from this company and spread the word that they are slimeballs.

Two pairs of pants. Can't give no star's so?

Stay away from them I wish I had cheap materials and stitching, incorrect sizing according to their chart's waited 3 wks to receive them. And making a return is made as hard as possible instead offering you discounts off your next purchase? NEVER. I would rather be struck by lightning.

Absolute scam
March 22, 2022

I received a jacket that was too small even though I used their size chart, I have spent hours trying to get details of how to return the item, there is a no way they will give you the Details, once you have bought it you are stuck with it weather it fits or not. This company should not be trading it is a total scam. Be advised Avoid At All Cost.

Lightning dog collars
September 1, 2021

Finally I can see my two small black dogs when I take them out in the evening. Before they used to hide behind the bushes but now with the new collars they are like a small lightning brigade. You can't miss them. Excellent value for money and well worth buying

My boyfriend ordered a headset for me a month and a half ago, tracking said it was received a month ago and still no headset. Do not order from this site unless you like to gamble with your money. I have ordered from places all over the world INCLUDING CHINA, as well as sent packages and it never took longer than 2 weeks. Busy is no excuse. Now the fight begins for a refund. This is apparently how they make their money and it's likely any positive reviews are faked. Worst company ever. Will stick to Amazon from now on and you should do the same.

I bought a $339 lighting fixture. It is a defect and not working at all. For us, it is total useless. I showed them the picture and missing part. I waited for a long time and kept remind them. In the end, they told me they only want to refund me $80. This is a company has no responsibility and worse customer services. Will never shop form them anymore.

Deceiving business
August 22, 2017

Please be aware their clothing comes from China their sizing and quality are very different compared to American made clothing. Read carefully all of the reviews before you order, I learned the hard way and was not able to use my dress which was very disappointing. Lightinthebox did reply by email they would refund half my money by giving them a good review and that was due to my review on Sitejabber. I chose not to take their offer because of thier lies and thier unethical conduct of business. As for the dress I gave it to donation, maybe someone with sewing skills can fix it.

I ordered a wedding dress paid additional customs fee which was advertised during payment process. Unfortunately dress doesn't fit and with 5 weeks till my wedding am getting a bit stressed. Sent email asking about exchange / refund and no reply. Finally ordered another dress ( bigger size) and it still is "processing" says will ship in two weeks. I have sent about 4 emails requesting assistance and get a bounce back email doesn't exist now. I have tried calling the number "number temporarily not in service". The online return form takes you to a " this site is not in working order". I'm getting a bit worried with just 4 weeks shy of my wedding. I have every right in my mind to call my bank and cancel both payments perhaps then I will hear from "customer service". Unfortunate too good to be true

Items were 20 days late arriving and were dreadful! Cheap nasty material, no labelling so not legal in the UK and the suit jacket was actually hard! Material really crushed so didn't even try them on!

I was offered free returns but now they are ignoring my emails and I'm £450 out of pocket!

Happy customer

I feel very sorry for those who have had a bad experience with L I T Box but the items I ordered came and were exactly like the pictures shown online, the quality was fine and they were all quite well packed too. Yes the waiting time is a few weeks so have to be patient. The prices were good as they were in the sale so I cannot understand why things are going so wrong for some customers. I did contact them to ask a question about a return dress which was too small ( their sizing seems to be tiny as I am usually a size 12 in U. K but in their sizing, from reading their size charts I needed XL) so I re ordered after returning the small dress and they agreed to refund me. About 7/10 days later the new one arrived. I found the customer service very polite and they answered pretty quickly once I had worked out where to go to send my message and then where to find the replies from them. I would order again. I hope you unlucky ones can get your issues resolved soon... good luck. Lynda
