Dress Return

Horrible. Never received as shipping address was incorrect and item was returned as I was out of town for a few days. Size was also an XL when I had requested a size 10. Impossible to navigate through their return policy on-line. Can't comment on quality as I never saw the dress.

THEIVES

THEY PROMISED ME A REFUND BACK IN AUGUST AND HAVE NOT ISSUED IT AS OF YET! THEY ALSO SAID THEY WOULD REIMBURSE FOR FREIGHT AND DID NOT DO SO! Concerned I'm not going to get my order

I placed an order January 19th they cashed the payment January 20th its February 1st and I haven't gotten my order. I made a complaint and an auto reply immediately posted that I would receive my order by March 15th. I don't care if it is in China it doesn't take that long to process an order, that's not even shipping time!

Worst company ever

Do not order from this company! Missing an item from my order. No way possible to contact them. Their customer service leads you to no where! The item I did receive is nothing like the picture. The dress looked so pretty & bright colors in their picture. I didn't even recognize it when I received it. So faded out. So disappointed!

DO NOT SHOP HERE IT IS A SCAM!

This has been a nightmare. I ordered a wedding dress from this site and when it arrived it was nothing like the photo. It was terrible quality and was discolored. I went to start the return process and their response was it wasn't refundable because it was a made to order dress. It was not made to order. There were three standard sizes to choose from. Their response to my request to return the item was
1. Maybe see if a friend or relative may want it
2. Keep the item and get 20% of the products value
3. Keep the item and get a reward of 30% of the products value.
When I pushed harder they said I could return it at MY OWN COST to China and then they would give me 80% of the products value but that the cost of shipping would probably cost more than the 80% refund. Not one of these options are acceptable. Many people are not in a position to have to buy multiple wedding dresses and the fact that they will not give me 100% of my money back is wrong. They are a scam with horrible customer service.

In order to do my due diligence in vetting any and all companies that I plan to do business with, I did the following:

A previous customer posted her Light in the Box's return email conversation: Here is a portion of Light in the Box customer service's suggestion:
"... you can return it to our warehouse in China. However, [...] the cost for return might be the same [...] even by using the cheapest tracking service [...]. So, to return to China may not be the most economical option. Instead, we suggest keeping the item We would like to propose the following offers which may be more beneficial and practical than a return:" The customer did not post further information.

I read some 1-star reviews which stated that some customers purchased several items which they say did not match the company's description, fabric, or sizing. I thought about purchasing one (1) INEXPENSIVE item to test out the entire service, including an attempt to then return the product to see what my experience would be. However, as of this writing (29JAN22), I searched for 5 and 4-star reviews for just the past month's timeframe, only 3 stars and lower ratings came up. So, I have decided to not use the Light in the Box site for any purchases. I appreciate that Site Jabber allowed me to do this research to help me make an informed decision on how I spend my time and money. (I have zero affiliation with Site Jabber.)

I ordered a black shrug and received a red one. It was for a special occasion. This company does not give refunds even if the error is their fault. You are requested to send photos of the item received. That does not work. No matter how many times you contact them. I received an emailed coupon for $6 to use on any order I make that's over $25. What! Why should I have to buy something else. I just want a refund. Never order from Light In The Box. You'll be sorry if they screw your order up because you won't get your money back.

I ordered 2 dresses from LightIn The Box. I was told that I could not return either dress! What? Both dresses were tried on, still have tags and are back on the wrapper. Horrible company!

I wear a size 4 and an XXL dress was too tight. I will never do business with this company AGAIN.

I had the misfortune to choose to buy from them, i waited 1 month to receive the goods paid a lot of money for the courier services. I purchase one pair of shoes which were ordered according to my size, of course, that is the European number 37 and for them Medium. I received the Large size which is for shoes it is stated on their package 39 -41. For the last 10days i communicate with them and ask to return the shoes, in the beginning they tried to persuade me to keep the shoes because they are far away and it will take 1 month to get my refund. I refused and then they asked me to send them pictures of the item which i did. Today they came back with a counter offer to keep them and have a discount as follows:
Keep the product for 80% bonus-voucher of the item's price
Or
• keep the product for a 50% refund of the item's price.

They don't mention nowhere to return the good for a 100% refund as they advertise in order to convince us to buy from them.

It is a totally mockery they are Chinese what can someone expect more, I am warning you that you go for troubles if you decide to purchase from them.

Unable to return

I bought a mother of the bride dress in 2 sizes to see which would fit better. I ordered their sizes... not custom measurements. On 12JAN22... I received the dresses (from China) on 25JAN22 so you know they were not custom made but were the rack sizes. Unfortunately, even though the dresses are beautiful, I did not like how they fit or looked on me. When I asked to return the dresses, they stated they were custom made due to size and color and they stated the items were nonrefundable.
Normally custom made would take much longer than 2 weeks to get. I only ordered 2 sizes due to the website stating I could return if not custom made.
Very poor customer service and very misleading when ordering regular sizes.
Beware of this company.

Horrible scam

DO NOT ORDER HERE AND READ ALL REVIEWS. THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FROM THEM. They lie about their location. They ship from
CHINA but have the BBB address is in WA. They send cheap clothing that looks nothing like the pictures, doesn't fit and then they make it impossible for you to return your items. This is their scam. They have sizing charts that are not accurate and the material almost smells of chemicals. What is described is not what you will receive. They also lie about shipping times, even if you pay for expedited. Do NOT spend here. You will never get your money back.
UPDATE: within hours of seeing this review, I received the message below in my email inbox. All

Completely refund me. Sitejabber works! However, it does change my review. No customer should have to take so many steps and then resort to leaving a public review to finally get a refund. Until this? I received constant correspondence saying: "this is our policy. We must adhere to our policy. No refund." What a quick change of mind on "policy" after this review.

Sheer polyester with a blurred plaid print. Described as mid rise cargo pants. Picture of item on their site is NOT what you will receive.
Oh, supposed to be a light denim yoga pant. Way too short, material is horrible. Again, sizing on their site is not accurate. They take no responsibility.
“Dress” that was pictured as a gauze tunic-like resort item. Pictures on their website were bright blue and not described as 100% polyester. Looks like a prison or post office uniform. Sizing way off. You can’t return.

DO NOT pay for express shipping. They'll say your package will be there by a certain date but as soon as you pay, the delivery dates will change. This happened on two different orders for wedding shoes. YOU'RE ONLY REFUNDED 25%-35% of your order. Returns are costly and a nightmare that you have to jump through several hoops to achieve. Buyer Beware... it's not worth it.

Buyer beware

I purchased 2 shirts from this company which turned out not to be as pictured on the internet. They were cheap and inferior. I didn't wear either and didn't even take one out of the package. I wanted to return them but they make you jump through hoops with so many restrictions and rules that it is almost impossible. Additionally, it is up to the customer to pay for the return all the way to CHINA from the US. This is such a shoddy way of doing business. Save yourself disappointment and grief. Buy your merchandise locally.

Fraud alert

Fraud alert!

I purchased an item from them and used a virtual CC number. This CC number was ONLY used at lightinthebox.com.

About a month later, I saw a series of fraudulent charges pop up on that virtual CC number.

There is a security issue with this company, I advise against buying from them.
