I had a refrigerator of 6.5 years go out. I had this unit warranty serviced and a replacement compressor was necessary. LG comped the parts per their warranty and I had to pay for the labor. The repair only lasted 3 months. After that the refrigerator was no longer cooling. I was unwilling to pay labor for another iteration of repair after loosing two fridges full of food. I decided to attempt to find another solution of which LG was unable to compromise. Be very wary about LG as they will not provide any services or compensation more than what their warranty agreement requires. True Customer Service and retention is gone with this company. I will not be purchasing anything further from this company.
I had the incorrect part come with my refrigerator to my home. I called into LG and Deb took care of my request on today 7/13/2022. I wanted to leave a review but I had opted out in the automated system before speaking with her on the call. I just wanted to make sure that she got this review because she was very polite and helpful. Sometimes you call a call center and don't know what you'll get, but she was fantastic.
This is a note to prevent you from frustration. I have a 400.00$ vacuum and it has not worked well since the 4th or 5th use. The offical site has a help section took 2 days to get an answer and the answer was almost the question I asked. Noticed other folks questions similar one a month ago not yet answered! Get a Dyson!
Model LDT5678SS. Control on top. Used 10 times & it leaks from lower right of door. Had 2 repairmen out; replaced various parts; still leaks. Think it is a defective bottom door seal. Have taped door which helps some. LG non responsive.
Owned the LG refrigerator for 7 months. Many calls miss info from supervisor could not get a technician to fix or show up. They will put a band aid on it until warranty has ran out. Told the would refund my money and that was rejected. Now I am suing for refund and punitive damages such as food loss and stress. Thisvis the worst customer service I have ever seen. LG washer is the worse machine you can ever purchase. Mine keeps leaking they keep coming back and repairing and it still leaks after about a week and a half this last time. It was after a week the time before that. I'm so disappointed. I wish they would simply replace it. Its only been a year since I purchase it. I'm so sad. We work so hard and saved a great deal to purchase the combo and even the dryer kept shutting off and shutting off. I'm beyond regret. Please don't waste you hard earned money on getting a LG product.
Purchased a LG 50 Pint Dehumidifier March 13,2021. As of June 9,2022 this Dehumidifier has gone south. The unit will freeze up after a brief period of usage. Performing all troubleshooting listed, the end result remains the same. Contacted there support line (phone) only resulted in a script reader that spoke terrible english, providing no help. Also contacted a "Chat Site" which gave the same results. I recommend not purchasing this product. China continues to supply cheap (in all aspects) crap.
We bought the whole line for appliances. Strove, Microwave, Dish Washer and Gas Range. Wish I never heard of LG let alone have to deal with their horrible customer service. Every single item has broken. Recently the refrigerator at the 5-year mark. We contacted customer service and of course, nothing was covered under warranty. Ultimately canceled the appointment well before the 24 hour mark but they still charged my credit card the $125 and are refusing to refund it. After 4 transfers and 3 hours on the phone they said they are charging the card. WORST customer service ever! I am pretty sure their call center is over seas because everyone speaks in broken english.
LG is crap. Refrigerator died in only 5 years, ice maker broke in 3rd year and door spring broke in 4th year. After 9 phone calls to LG we gave up. Customer service is staffed with liars and incompetence. This has been one of the worst companies I have dealt with and they have cost consumers a lot of money due to their failed products. Research the class action lawsuit detailing the known faulty compressors LG used in their refrigerators. If you actually get them to replace the failed compressor, they install another faulty compressor that, according to other reviews, will fail in less than two years.
I'm very upset and disappointed with LG electric range the black paint is fading and is now looking gray in the burners area instead of all black. Call Customer Service they will not do nothing about, just live with it. Called a service tech company, he understood what i was saying. He said that the black paint is NOT permanent! I'll never buy their products again. Customers need to know this information before buying an applicance, I say if it's not permanent paint don't paint them at all!
TV is six months old, it has been wall mounted the entire time. Today, 10-15-2023, suddenly for no reason, black lines appeared in the middle of the screen. LG support LIES and says it is impact damage and is not covered under warranty. There is and never was any impact damage whatsoever. LG products are over priced rubbish that come from some sweat shop in India. LG would rather lie to its customers than to stand behind their so called warranty. My advise to everyone is to never buy any LG product. Everything they make is garbage, and their warrantees are worthless.

We've had about 6 services done on it. They replaced tons of parts including the door.
December 23rd a technician came out and said our pump has broke and he would order another one. We have heard nothing so I called King and state the warranty and they said last week they would look into it and I would hear back Thursday or Friday... Nothing
So I called again today and the lady said she would look into it and get back to me. When she called back she said that they actually no longer make that part so they can not come and fix it, but will give me a $350 credit to the place we purchased it from but it can only be used on a dishwasher. LOL where are you buying a dishwasher now a days for $350, I will never purchase LG again
I paid over $1500 for a new LG refrigerator. The freezer could not keep a temp of 0 or below which is required to avoid freezer burn and ruining food. I asked for help and was told if the repair guy came and the temp was 0 I'd have to pay for the visit. Since the temp constantly dipped below and above, there was no way to predict and they simply did not take my word. Fast forward: Consumer reports mentioned this issue. This means LG knows about the problem and probably has a fix. They refused to speak to a local repair organization about the fix or any other info about this issue. My vendor replaced my refrigerator with another LG. The freezer temp problem was even worse. LG refused to acknowledge the issue or work with a repair person. I purchased a refrigerator with a useless freezer and LG won't take responsibility. Guess they don't know that customer service is an important factor in running a business.
After 8 months of purchase, machine started leaving scrud on clothing. Problem still persists even though I use a cleaner every 4 weeks. I never use fabric softener and only use liquid detergent, not pods. Technician came at 11 months, before warranty was over, and cleaned brown coated drum. Phoned LG customer service at 22 months and the only solution they offered was an extended warranty for parts and labour at $269. I refuse to spend anymore money on the machine and plan on purchasing from a different company.
The worst brand for appliances specially ranges. I cannot believe I made the same mistake twice within 15 years; facing the same problematic digital range. Do not buy any appliances from LG speacilly ranges and save your money as well as time, since you'd need to spend time on extended phone calls for services. I have gone through this three times already on a range that I bought just 15 months ago, so frustrating.
I purchased an LG French door refrigerator. The compressor went out on it in a year. It was under warranty.Called customer support whom referred me to one of their service providers. They came out after 3 weeks, because apparently they did not have the part and when the part did come in some of it was missing. When they did come out and repair it it broke down again the very next day. I have been 7 weeks now without a refrigerator. Their customer support has not been helpful at all. They have an attitude of they don't care. This has been a very frustrating situation. On another note the brand new dishwasher will not start with the first punch and it molds on the dishes just after 2 days so forget a loaded dishwasher when you wash. The stove is a different story in and of itself. Buyer beware!
We ordered a new LG fridge when we moved into a new home. We registered for warranty purposes. Our fridge quit working on 2/26/2022 and now it is 04/05/22 and still no fridge. We are living out of a mini fridge. I have called every week and now every three days. No one knows what the other department is doing. I now qualify for a "market value" refund since there are no repairs available in our area. I think they just wanted us to give up and buy another fridge. I'll be damned if I give in! We'll see in 3-5 days.
After 2 weeks TypeC cable and port did not work. I called up the customer care to book a repair request.
They sent some local un-educated engineer, he said there is a problem in the board, replaced it, still did not fix the typec cable connectivity problem. They said they have to order parts for replacement and told me to wait for 2 weeks. Already 6 weeks now, no update and nothing from Engineer and customer care.
Asked them update, still there is no replacement part arrived, they told me in a cool tone without any sympthothy wait for another 4 weeks. What the f**k LG?!
When ordering, the estimated date to receive my order is not even close! I ordered on 12/1, advertised delivery date was 12/7. On 12/7, my order has yet to ship! After 4 phone calls to 4 different customer service reps, not one of them could tell me why it didnt ship, the only excuse I got from one was, high volume. I will order from Amazon next time!
Will lie to you about warranty, no customer service reps who are first language English speakers, customer service is completely unhelpful and they apparently have no management or supervisors to help either.
Answer: They have dangerous appliances, and refused to reimburse us for the repair of an almost new (but over 1 year old) oven that was clearly a manufacturing defect (see image.)
Answer: THEY ARE NOT GOING TO SEND OUR REFUND AFTER PROMISING WE HAD SENT THE REQUIRED INFORMATION.
