The company's reputation is significantly marred by widespread customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to frequent reports of scams and unresponsive sellers. Users express frustration over the prevalence of non-serious buyers and automated responses that hinder genuine transactions. Every time i try to post something for sale on this app it immediately deletes it and flags it as a duplicate post even though it is not. This problem was persistent on my first account so i created a brand new email address to try again, same issue. When i contacted their customer service i had to call 3 times and kept getting hung up on after refusing to pay them money with their claims that my account was compromised and an overseas party was using my accounts that's why all my posts were getting deleted and flagged and that i needed to pay them a fee to remove the 2nd party. There is no second party on my created 5 minutes ago email, this is a money scam and a ploy. The third time when i called and asked to speak to a manager the guy on the phone demanded to know why and wasted 5 minutes of my time arguing with him to speak to a manager, when i finally did speak to a manager he insisted my issue was overseas people stealing my identity. I informed him never mind and ill just use another app to sell my goods on, he got very agitated and started grilling me about me not caring about people stealing my identity and that i need to pay him a fee to have him investigate it on my end. I ended up hanging up on him. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS APP. I had no issues for the first month or so until they tried swindling me out of my money and identity information. Scam. Scam. Scam

I was successful for a few months last summer, mostly from the same flea market buying my items, a few others here and there. Nothing for the past nine months, and now only, "Is it available?" from seven different people. When I respond "Yes," there is nothing further from them. Phishing? About to withdraw. The constant notifications in between from Letgo asking me to list more items is very annoying and you can't choose which notifications to receive, it's all or none. Disengaging~

Mixed reviews about the app thus far. A LOT of people like to waste your time and ask a bunch of silly questions about your item and you never hear from them again. I did have a good experience buying from someone who was serious about selling and not just wasting peoples time. The app is very user friendly and easy to navigate

Hello. I am a letgo member. I was interested in a car for sale... after several back and forth messages, the owner of the car, Senior Medic Staff Srgt. Dona Vitte, informed me that the car is in the Yukon, where she is stationed and supposedly will be deployed today for a year tour in Iraq. That she shipped it out to TORONTO for us to view. Today is the 6th of may, about five days after the car was supposed to have arrived and the day of her 'deployment'. I get this email response from her, email becuase her army base only allows for occasional email access, that I must first deposit the full funds of $4401 into and official letgo deposit site and then the car will be shipped. Apperantly Letgo would officially hold my money! So I'm asking do you officially have a deposit and payment option through the Letgo site or are you and I both being scammed? If you are interested in seeing this matter further, as it is your business that is also being defrauded and me personally. They made it sound very official and has mention this to me a few times. I tried to go back to our original chat on Letgo and you have CarlosJ under 'account pending moderation'. I did see the same car on your site a few days ago and as I was writing to the differs name that listed it, my message and the ad disappeared. Could not find it again. This is a scam for a lot of money. If you are interested in pursuing this Sgt. Dona Vitte, let me know... Majashome

Mixed Reviews

I have sold a lot of video games and systems on the site and have met nice people. But it seems lately that they have trolls to make low ball offers and you never hear from them again. It is almost like they are getting paid to "ding" you every so often when you haven't had any recent sales or inquiries. FYI Offer Up does the same thing...

Paid $1.99 to use their bump up feature. I searched for a long time and did not see my ad got bump up. Email them and they pretty much just said too bad. They want your money and not care about providing service. Do not waste money to use their bump up feature. You might as well delete your ad and re-do it again. Which will bump your post on the top of the list.

Here is the email they sent me:
Thanks for contacting letgo, Molly!

I am sorry if you do not see your ad bumped up. I can reassure you that the ad was bumped for some time and then was pushed down the home feed once other ads started coming through on the site. Bump Ups are final and letgo cant offer a refund. To receive assistance with in-app payments, you must get in touch with Google or Apple.

Sorry for the inconvenience. If you have any problems or questions, just let us know.

Best regards,
Alyssa

I just opened the Letgo app for the first time, and first thing it starts asking me a lot of questions, one at a time, most of which they provide just one possible answer to (I don't answer questions, without a good explanation or understanding why they are being asked, and how my answers will be used)! And I don't permit notifications, which this app seems to REQUIRE. If I permitted notifications like so many sites want me to, there would be no end to them! I would do nothing by check notices! That alone tells me I am using a bad app. I finally get to a screen where a lot of items are offered, but I don't seem to have an opportunity to search for what I want, nor does each entry tell me anything about those items! For more info, I have to click on links... At best, it is very awkward. It is not at all clear how to make this app work without jumping through a bunch of hoops, and, I suspect, even then. I am an experienced eBay user, and was looking for a good alternative to that giant, overbearing (but generally well-run) site, and hope this service gets better, but it seems, relatively speaking, that currently this app sucks.

At first after signing up I posted a bunch of quality items, brand new power tools and some electronics and I got bombed with messages, mostly lo ballers and people making absolutely laughable offers but I made a couple reasonable sales. After about a week the "still available?" end of communication messages and the odd "$20" on like a $200 item. Now no messages at all, does the site gauge how many don't buy from and/or how many people you turn down? I don't know how it could be a scam because everything I've purchased have been good experiences from nice fair people. I don't know how I'm attracting just broke $#*! low lives or nothing at all. Also when you look at people's profiles it seems like the dumpster divers on here are having much better luck selling an old tire swing from there backyard then I am selling a brand new high end power tool... Like I said "confusing at best"

Is it just me or do staffers pretend to buy your stuff to make you think you have a customer eager to purchase? Nothing ever comes of it.

There are a lot of problems with let go. First not enough buyers. You have the potential to compete with big names but not enough people know about this website. Second most of the people are just plain rude and the review system is terrible. I had an engagement ring on let go for about almost a year that I'm trying to sell. The price is negotiable I get tons of people liking or favoriting it and people asking if it's for sale and that is it. Nothing else. Sure there are people who review this badly for the people who are rude but that is only because let go does not review people on there at all. I seen some messed up things on the site and the app, I. E used adult toys. And that person was not warned or anything. It has potential but the app is just really trash

People who complain about other people on the app them take it out on letgo and rate them poorly needs to stop. Letgo is a "fair" app. It does need lots of improving. The main thing that needs it would be the raiting system. Then another thing needs to be with more groups to post an item. You need to be able to pick the distance you are willing to view or sell the items. I like the app a lot but it's kinda boring. Please improve, I would hate to see this app fail...

Greatest thing ever for buying or selling, i have had about 6 transactions and all were good, try it once see how it goes, dont be afraid to ask detailed qustions about the item youre looking at. You can always pass on the item if it is not what youre looking for when you actually look at it in person

$#*! everyone on this $#*! as a whole! You get items taken off constantly, flagged for nothing. Once I put a broken porcelin Jesus head for free on there, till about a year later was I allowed access to the app. Crazy for Christ sensitive $#*!s! I also tried to rid a pellet riffle and they took it off, when there were 5 or 6 people selling the same thing too. They still have them on there till this day. I try selling actual valuable things on here and get no $#*!ing sales but flag downs and other stupid $#*!. The people who try selling stupid petty little 50 cent items should be flagged. $#*! the app and the bull$#*!ing users too! PS: they should have a 0 stars option on their rating scale.
