I completely stopped selling locally because of flakes. It's so much easier on other sites. State your price. Take it or leave it, then ship and forget it. I have a couple of items that are too long to ship, so gave this app a try. The buyers on Letgo are a joke! Some have sob stories. Although your price is fair, they will haggle anyway. Just had a buyer ask for 40% off and wait for it... wait for it... to also deliver to the next town for free! I'm not desperate. Haha... get outta here. Who do think I am uber?

Long story short. I gave an honest straight forward review of another letgo buyer/seller. Dani G in retaliation wrote a bogus review on me along with harassing messages. So I sent a request to have the review looked into. With no response we to that I sent an email with the harassing messages attached. When none of that got a response from customer care I sent a request to have my account deleted. For one I had a review that said I sold fake stuff whatever that means, and I was aggravated with no response to CC. Well what do you know. An immediate response to the request to delete my acct. And suddenly they're concerned with why I wanted to cancel. But the cc rep didn't address anything except the review. Not why I'd yet to receive a response re. The review. She responds and says you should have sent an email! WTH are they smoking! I did send an email! Had she read my request to cancel she would have known that! Oh then I received an email asking me to review customer care re. My email! I literally thought I was in the twilight zone! Because I've still not heard from CC re. The initial complaint. Needless to say I probably wasted my time even trying to make sense of the worst CC I've received in a long time.
Also I think the app is a hott mess. Doesn't make sense the way it jumps all over the place but especially the posting part. So many items not in the correct category. Just not good. Offer up is better for sure

I do specific search for my product on a PC (year make model zip code) and even price, and the damned thing isn't there!
The site TOTALLY SUX because it hates computers (can't edit, or delete, and even the app can only be compared to windows vista, and it STILL takes a distant 6th in speed and ease of use.

I'm not sure about the everyone else, but we normally have a garage sale once a year wasting a weekend at it with people coming to your personal space and wanting items for pretty much free. With letgo I put stuff on there at my own pace and meet them were I choose. I make more per product then I would at any garage sale. I've met some really awesome people and made a few awesome trades also.

All in all I don't waste my weekend with a garage sale and I at least double my profits on this sight with still giving a good deal to buyers. If you have sentimental value to something this is not the site for you hints the name LETGO. Not hold on. Thanks a to guys for all you do. FYI I have no affiliation to letgo!

This site is just a Kajiji wanna be with clientele that never follow up to actually purchase items from you rather they just hit the automated "is this item still available" button and don't go beyond that when you take the time to respond to there automated inquiry. When people actually do follow up they just low ball you so much that they assume you are so desperate to sell you would be will inform to"Letgo" for nothing. Also for whatever reason it seems no one is willing to pick up items and want a delivery service included in the price. Bottom line not worth the time or effort.

1st how do i remove the chats i had? 2ndif people are really trying to sell thēse items, why do they wait so long to respond? I recently was looking to purchase a full sized bed, refridgerator, utility trailer.one of the 1st questions i needed answerd was where was the item located? Cuz i need truck for all and loaders.the only timely response was a mr. Gage, i purchased his utility trailer. I went to a thrift shop and purchased bed, bought mattresses new at store, bought new refrigerator. All in which i would have puchsed used, for guest apt. Recently built.

Waste of time

The site was a major pain for buyers. Search a specific item an so many unrelated items displayed. Had to scroll down wasting my time. Should be able to view the item you searched for initially and not hve to waste a half hour to grt to it. And god forbid you click on an item to see details... only to go back to the very beginning of your search! Now imagine if you accidentally clicked on an item?!?! I gave up, rather search other site.

I am very new to letgo. One buyer wanted to meet me after 9:45 pm to buy my steamer, because he needed to iron his clothes asap. One fake buyer, Shina Dee, in Valencia. Confimed 2 hours before meeting time, that she wanted to purchase items from me. We wasted 40 mins to wait for her, no call, no show. They thought it was fun to pull some planks on other people. I reported that woman, SO WHAT?

Fake check

My friend was trying to sell her car. This guy saw it and send her a check over $2000 he wanted cash back to have the car shipped to another state.we went to the bank and the check was fake. They said its a scam. Lucky she didn't cash it or she would of went to jail. The bank is looking into it.

There is a add from Lisa Fly. Buy one get one free iphone. Please don't buy from Lisa Fly. It is a person not a lady. He will ask to send the money to Nigeria and later on he vanish. He can show your package is ready also going to your address. I got cheated, from him. So please don't take. Try to avoid and do police complain. I don't what is the process to follow and caught that person. I have all detail with me.

Scam all the way

This person contacted me and wanted to buy the cell phone that i had posted, he got my paypal account and I received and email from "paypal " indicating that money was transferred to my account, I went to post office and expressed mail the phone to his fiance in Nigeria! The email from paypal was fake and I paid $70 to ship out my phone. My conversation on letgo is not there anymore

People on this site don't want to buy anything, if it has value they want it for free, even though ebay costs you at least they pay you for it. I'm letting go of let go won't be back.

I was selling a car and a gut contacted me a few time saving he has the money in cash, that he was coming later, tomorrow etc. Last time ask me for my address and that if I was willing to drive the car to Jacksonville because he is handicap. Wired

I sent them an email... In the Netherlands. Is what I am seeing... A relative stole and sold my grandsons hoverboard... I paid $400.00... she sold it for 75.00... I am trying to get in touch with them... For the Police... to find out who bought it... stolen mdse... I have yet to hear from them

Horrible interface, hate the "reviews" of buyers and sellers - (what purpose is it if I decide NOT to sell to someone because I had a bad feeling (or my last incident, they tried to give me fake 20 bills - I have a pen checker and I use it JUST for things like this!) and they give me a negative review for it?)
Search sucks - Put in "travel trailer" and you get things that have the word Travel, but not trailer, you get "trailer" but not travel - there is no option to "search for ALL words" like ever other selling site allows you to do. (cannot even put things in quotes to try and force it to find all words!) Why do I want to see BACKPACKS when I search or "TRAVEL TRAILER" - Because the seller put the word "travel" in the description.
Absolutely no help from support - only answer I got was "you can narrow it down with the filters". So tell me, does camping equipment show up in sports, leisure and game or home and garden or other?

I have been using letgo for some time. It is next to impossible to buy and sell anything. I have attempted to even give items away with no success. I feel like 95% of the users are spam/scam artists or bots. Total waste of time

Garbage

The site itself lets you do absolutely nothing except search and chat. Why are all the options even there? All they do is tell you to go download their app when you click on them presumably to inflate their app numbers. The thing is not everyone is using a smartphone!

Then if you are using a smartphone at try the app you will get a bunch of hits on your items. With some asking if the item is for sale, if it works, is it a negotiable price (even if you list it as fixed). Then when you respond nothing. They just disappear.

I had an item that I went out to actually sell to someone. We agreed to meet somewhere at a certain time. The guy didnt show up. I ask the guy on the app if he was on his way and he was like "I just got of work and decided to head to the gym". I am thinking "WTF guy!?". He then had the gall to say "I will give you an extra $10 to meet me here for the sale." I told him to the deal was for this spot and this time... no deal. The dude wanted me to seriously drive an extra 20min out of my way AFTER waiting for him for 30min. I was not happy.

Great if you are giving away crap. If you are trying to sell something of real value, don't waste your time hete. Just a lot of scammers looking for free stuff.
