The company's reputation is significantly marred by widespread customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to frequent reports of scams and unresponsive sellers. Users express frustration over the prevalence of non-serious buyers and automated responses that hinder genuine transactions. Concerns about safety and a lack of effective customer support are also prominent, with many customers feeling neglected when issues arise. Although some users have found success in selling through the platform, the overall sentiment leans heavily towards disappointment, suggesting a pressing need for improved oversight and customer service to enhance user experience and trust.

I just signed up to use letgo today. I posted 1 item to get started. I had to edit it because it only lets you post a picture and it automatically lists it. With just a picture! No title, description, nothing! So I edit it. Then it doesn't show up in search. So I create a new listing with same info. Same thing, just a picture. GRRRR! Edit again. The listing has now changed the order of the pictures! I did NOT do this! One more time I attempt to edit the $#*!ing thing. I leave it alone for a bit then come back and search for it. No listing! I think OK maybe I'm a dumbass. I try one more time and edit my profile to include only my first name in listings after reading about quite a few scams on this site. Again I leave it alone for awhile (over an hour). I come back and check and it does show the listing, again with the pictures in the wrong order and my FULL name showing in the listing. I give up! I try to close my account and finding that info is another pain in $#*!. I sent an email requesting to close it. We shall see what happens?
Varage Sale is better, at least it holds its buyers accountable. Here people ask a ton of questions and rearely do you get anyone serious. There ads are what bring people on there site. Not worth the effort!
People on this site are not serious. They ask you 20 Questions tell you they want to purchase it and then an hour later change their mind. Not worth the trouble.
If you look at all of the complaints, there are no buyers and that has been my experience too. I've had 6 inquiries and ZERO follow up from any buyer after I respond to them. There may be some legit buyers using the app, but for every real buyer there are probably 500 sellers.
It appears letgo's main problem is that it is too new and not enough buyers have adopted it. This makes sense - it is not like craigslist and ebay were major market players right away.
Maybe buyers will use the app/site more after a few years. So as of right now, its a buyers market and a sellers black hole.
Flakes totally ruin this potential of this app. People wasting your time, not following through, just sending inquires they have NO INTENTION of following up on. The time you spend responding will easily add up in dollars to what you're selling your item for. In my case, I just wanted to give away things for free and people STILL flaked. Letgo users suck!
Nothing sold, brand new items very nice but nothing but an offer to upgrade to make the offers come in faster. Nothing Sold-WASTE OF TIME.
I thought this app would be a safer, easier version of Craigslist. Unfortunately, it is not. I sold a few small items, but I was mostly barraged by users who were either scammers or had no intention of following through with a sale. Many users were downright rude if their lowball offer (for really high quality, nice things) was declined. I had one user create multiple accounts after I declined their offer and blocked them, only to harass me and leave false negative reviews on my profile. It bordered on stalker tendencies, and since the app gives an approximate location of where you live or where you're currently located (whether you want it to or not), this scared me. An unhinged person could likely find you if they really wanted to. Due to this scary experience, I wanted my account deleted immediately, and there is no way to do this. You have to email the team, receive an automated response, and then wait and hope they will actually follow through. There is no way to delete your profile picture, so if you're a real person that has used an actual picture to convey your authenticity and then have an experience like this and want it gone, you can't just get rid of it. You have to upload a generic picture at that point. I felt very vulnerable and unsafe being on this app after my experience and am still waiting for my account to be deleted. I would not recommend it.
To many non buyers, everyone wants you items for nothing, the auto reply buttons are no good and should be removed so many questions are sent by mistake, I know because it has happened to me as a seller and as a buyer, in general a good idea, but in the real world does not work
Lots of Liars, Scammers, and Fake Reviews. Let Go really needs to do something about these people. So far We've had 2 people out of around 5 that have made false reviews.
I got robbed today because of letgo.
I advertised a bicycle for sale. Was approached and negotiated s price. I gave him my address. He came when I wasn't home and stole it.
I confronted him by messsge through the site. He admits he took it Snd says he will bring it back tomorrow but I don't believe him. His name is Gabriel Cozar.
I posted brand new athletic shoes and boy size clothing on Letgo with pricing as low as $3.00 no buys only inquiries. NO BIUYERS YOUR WASTING YOUR TIME. I am removing this app off my phone for the second time.
I'm trying to sell my car but it will only let me post 1 out of 4 pictures. Every time I try to add the other 3 pictures to my post it only saves my post with 1 picture. This needs to be fixed, how is anyone supposed to sell stuff on let go if you have multiple pictures and yet can only post 1 picture of your item. When selling a car people want more than 1 picture but yet you guys are only letting me post 1 picture what is going on. This needs fixed as soon as possible or I'm deleting the app for good. Thanks.
I spent hours setting up my profile with high quality images of the items I want to sell and my biggest issue is that people will message asking if it's still available - obviously if the ad is up it's still available- and the "favourites" button is very frustrating. I don't intend to keep these items for sale for long and yet people favourite it thinking it will be there a while and that there will be a price drop. As a seller, this app may not be worth it- people are not serious enough or willing to pay anything that isn't "free"... I will keep the app for another month or so but so far I am not impressed and feel like its a waste of time... it could have been a good sales system if people took it seriously and didn't message for no reason / not show up for a sale... seller beware...
I use eBay, Craigslist and Kijiji and I've never been stood up once. On Letgo, I'm now up to 4 for 4 on being stood up by people claiming to be interested buyers! Don't know why, but something about this service attracts scummy people who waste others' time. Try it and you'll see
This site should monitor it's site. Every time, I try to message someone it never goes through. How am I suppose to contact anyone if interested in their items?
This site is super easy to use. Unfortunately everyone has a smartphone now. This site is so cluttered with yard sale garbage... one man's trash is just that TRASH. People, Please... throw your worn tennis shoes, used make up and dirty t-shirts away! There should be limits.
My experience was bad got tired of the 5-10 questions... going bk and forth to try and sell an item and the late night trolls
I have used this site for quite a while and have sold several items. The App it's self need revising to remove the "Im Interested Auto click as well as the button for " is it still available" ( it it is listed it IS AVAILABLE)
And its negotiable should be replaced with an Iten that says MAKE REASONABLE OFFER. If the item is listed for 800 dollars it should feature an auto reject option that can be programed in like ebay has. The Bump Feature is a pointless unverifiable option that is akin to a blind man playing the lottery hoping the stranger he asked to scratch his ticket was honest.
The photos that are uploaded are often mixed up and not in the same order as when uploaded resulting in a terrible 1st presentation of product.
Stupid app all people do is get mad when u cant cater to them an accept lower price so they make up these fake reviews like ur not "polite" or have unfair prices just because their poor an shouldnt be on the site in the first place an the administration say they will verify the reviews people give u but u never hear back ever... Dum site even dumber buyers
Answer: I worked as a reviewer for several sites and when they have very little reviews or no reviews people like me are paid to say how great they are. You can verify these in Amazon reviews some of them praise items like there is no tomorrow full pages of nice reviews. When you see the contradicting reviews go for the bad one is the honest one.
Snap, post, chat, and sell. letgo, the app that lets you buy and sell quickly and locally in the United States.
