letgo Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is significantly marred by widespread customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to frequent reports of scams and unresponsive sellers. Users express frustration over the prevalence of non-serious buyers and automated responses that hinder genuine transactions. I went on the website called LetGo where they had electronic amd other items for sale at what i would say is a very reasonable price, i reached out to the seller who in return reached back out to me i informed him i was interested in getting an iPhone 7 and a iPhone 6S + he had online for sale and how i could go about getting it, he asked my location which i gave him, he said that's about 6hrs away from him which he suggested i do a Western Union transfer for the items and he could send them off by UPS, right away i informed him of my discomfort in such transaction he went on to advise me how much he hated scammers. 5 mins after i received notification that he picked up the money, he blocked me from the website, stop responding to my messages which he promptly replied to prior to, and stop taking my phone calls.

The rudest woman I have ever met. She got in my face when I was explaining to her that not everything pictured was for sale. I wrote a list of things that were for sale and stated what wasn't. She then prooced to only offer me a dollar when everything was valued at more than 40. I was only asking for 15. She even went as far as to throw my stuff on the floor. While all this was happening my son was right there with me. She scared him, tell me is that anyway to act in front of a two year old. Or to treat someone who is being nothing but polite to you and in no way raising their voice like she was. She has no manners and I hope no one ever has to deal with someone like her.

Crappy website
August 23, 2017

There is no where to get help or instructions on using Letgo. It up loaded my items to Facebook without allowing me to put a description or price. I can't even find my items to delete them. I hate it.

By it's nature it is tailored to nothing but low baller scum, there is no way to post your item in anything but a very general category. When you first post you get hit up by the opportunist low baller scum trying to buy really cheaply so they can resell the products and make their measly little profit off it then after that your merchandise just moves farther down the list unnoticed.

I was happy!
August 20, 2017

I posted all the furniture in my coop. I sold 90% of the furniture, which helped a great deal. I don't have to pay a moving company, nor people to help me discard of the unwanted furniture. It was a pleasure dealing with those who were strongly interested in buying. There were those who just wanted it for a absurd amount, and those who just were inconsidered, and selfish. They were unacceptable to your terms. I otherwise was very satisfied, I just so happen to get some great buyers who just were so honest and understanding to all the terms and regulations when selling a product. I was not happy when people wanted to come see the item to review it status, before they made a offer. That I was not happy with at all. I blocked a few people, because of this. I would rather lose a sale, which in fact wouldn't have been a large amount! Then jeopardize the safety of myself and family. For those of you selling on Letgo. You are no way in fact obligated to those who seek to see item first. Protect your safety first, most likely those who want your address, are not interested in the product after all. They want it all free!'

Don't get fooled by the catchy commercials. This is the worst way to sell something. I would've had better luck at the bus stop. 1000 questions and not one serious buyer. Full of junk too. Seller Beware

I'm a college student trying to save money by purchasing on Letgo.com. Unfortunately I was scammed by sending my payment of a $150.00 and I never received my watch. Letgo deleted his account and told me to file a police report. Lesson learned! I will never buy from a site that doesn't back up purchases.

Don't Waste Your Time
August 14, 2017

This site is a total joke for buyers. No title, no price and no descriptions. I think it's just unbelievable that someone would actually try to sell something without providing some kind of real information. This website is geared toward lazy millennials with no sales experience that want to sell cheap junk and fake reproductions at unrealistic high prices.

Total waist of time.
August 13, 2017

I totally though that this app would be much safer then Craigslist. Not! After posting up several dresses and shoes I don't wear I got some messages asking about the item but nothing legit. Just a waist of time. The cherry on the icing was I got a message for a dress. The person told me she wanted the dress. I told her I could meet her at a public place cash money or she can venmo me the payment what ever worked for me. Well no she wanted my full name address that she would send me a check and once the check clear she would have her seamstress pick up the dress from me. Mmmm yea I don't think so. Such a waist of time.

I've been selling on letgo for about 2 years and I had a bit of a rough start being new to selling and dealing with people. Overall my experience with letgo is pretty great. I've made close to $700 in sales just this summer alone on letgo not including the use of offerup and 5mile or fb. The app makes things simple for me and I get plenty of messages from all types of ppl. Lowballs, creeps, trolls, and kids. A lot of times you don't get much further than "Is it available" but even with that I've been able to weave out the people wasting time and focus on people who are legitimately interested. I think its important to remember that people are going to offer you nothing for your stuff cause they want the cheapest they can get. You gotta evaluate your item and set up a lowest amount you'd take and from there work with people to come to an agreement. Everything is negotiable unless specified otherwise. So for my items I always tell people they are $X. Xx or best offer. That give them a chance to offer something a bit lower and test how low i'll go. From that point you can evaluate whether or not this person is worth your time. If im selling something worth $100 and you offer me $20 I'll politely end the conversation there. If you are looking to make the best of this app, be open mind and just remember that you'll most likely deal with 5 idiots before you get a serious buyer and from there its a cakewalk. Serious buyers tend to be nice people in my experience. Most serious buyers show up on time, communicate a lot, don't make any wierd demands and know the item fairly well themselves. One rule that doesn't necessarily mean someone is a risk or not is if they ask for your phone number. As a rule, I Never give out my number. I actually lost the chance to make $100 on a snow plow the other day for tht reason. It may be me being overly precaustious, but thats make rule and I think it is important to stay in your comfort zone. Don't hand out address so easily and if you can, always meet in a public place. If a buyer isn't cool with that then I would let that person go cause I'd rather play it safe.

I'd recommend letgo, keep it mind the things above. You can definitely make money using letgo along with other selling apps

I agree with the many other comments on here, more people wasting time simply clicking " is it available" and that's it. You can fill out all the details of the product including: size, price, location and people will still ask you. I've listed my city and province, and constantly have people messaging me only to find out that they live in a different city. Also, men and women constantly approach you for dating purposes with no real intention of buying anything. Not enough filters on this app, to make it efficient, safe and worthwhile for sellers. Big

My experience mirrored 95% of the negative responses on her, almost verbatim. They're all accurate reviews. I myself got 2 responses from users that were suspicious. One who asked if "the item" (a whole set of dishes) was in good condition - the condition was already listed in the very beginning of the description. The other one asked about a single figurine - "you want $20 for all?". I'm like, "all of what, there's only one item." Crickets. Clearly these are bots or scammers, there are no legit buyers. Don't waste your time, move on to something else.

A while ago I was selling a limited edition Nes Classic usually worth $400 or $300. I was selling it for around $215 which is a great deal for this thing but I guess the buyers just cant afford it. Every time I checked my messages people kept saying that they wanted to buy it for numbers under $50! Why? We took it down recently since we were sick of all these notifications from people changing there minds are lowering the price to dirt. DONT SELL ANYTHING ON THIS SITE!
