Horrible customer service chat, I chat with them many time buy never find the answer and no reply.
No recommended.

Rude agents with manager Elizabeth hanging up the phone on us. Paying for service they failed to deliver and denied appropriate refunds. Do not use this scam company.

This review is in regards to forming a PC through the Legal Zoom company. In my experience, LZ will promise a timeline they cannot deliver on. I paid for the "express" package. They do not follow up with you. If there is an issue with your order, you will have to reach out and sit on hold to speak to someone (always a different agent) to find out what's going on. Even after multiple calls and communication, they still have no way for there to be a central person or team that deals with any specific customer, so you end up in limbo and will likely need to call over and over to find out what's the delay. In my specific case, even after paying for the expedited package, I still had to call every few days to shuffle things along because no one would follow through on the order. Essentially, I am over 30 days out and still waiting without any updates or any ability to cancel the order (which I requested due to their incompetence and they denied). In the meantime, I have sought another means to form my PC, and in my state (Maryland) this is actually a very easy process directly on the maryland.gov website that takes only a few minutes for 1/4 the cost. I would never recommend LZ as it is expensive, inconvenient, and will delay your timeline. Do a little extra research and there is likely a much easier way to execute whatever service you are looking for without using this overpriced and misleading platform.

Hidden fees - things not well explained. Then I spoke to their customer service rep, Robert. He was RUDE and interrupted me several times.

I am a partner in a business that specializes in client experience and this company FAILS to have empathy or kindness - they are in it to MAKE MONEY - so BUYER BEWARE as I had over $500 in hidden fees coming my way.

Poor customer service. All they want is to take every dollar they can from their customers. They provide little to no help.

Stay far away. The customer support is the worst, in addition to having paid for a service I was never provided. I filed for an LLC and ein through legal zoom in February. When I received the documents I proceeded to open a business bank account and was told that my certificate of formation was incomplete. After consulting with the state treasury office in NJ and my CPA I was told that in fact legal zoom had filed the paperwork incorrectly. I spent hours on the phone with legal zoom and eventually was told they would fix it and I would have the correct document within 8 business days. Over two weeks later I call to be told they did it correctly the first time. They said it must be me or the bank and that I should fix it myself. It's been two months since I've started this process. I can assure you after showing these documents to people who know, it's not me. I now have something that doesn't work and will have to fix it myself with the state office. If you go directly through a local CPA or lawyer the documents arrive within days. Do not use legal zoom.

If I could give no stars I would. They will just get your business and then lie straight to your face.

I used this company to register my business and get me my original documents. I so regret it! It was way too expensive and all they do now is charge me every year just to tell me I gotta get my report in that's it! I paid close to 1k to start up when I could of done it myself for $100 yep I was stupid! Now I cancelled with them as my agent and tell them I got it myself and they said okay you won't be charged and boom! They hit me with another $270 or something like that! Yep it's a complete waste of money unless you like to pay out the $#*! for harassing emails and texts. Save your money and do it yourself! Don't use these overpriced leeches. Guess I have to give a star to leave a review. Y'all should add a negative star option as well cuz they belong deeeep in the negative

I had legalzoom create an LLC for me in a different state than my home state on Feb 11. They ended up entering the principal office address as my home address except they put the state the llc was being created in. This made it impossible to create a bank account in the business name. I reached back out to legalzoom to have them correct the mistake. The people who answer the phone are empowered to do very little. Even though it was obviously a mistake by legalzoom, they had to enter the issue into a queue to be taken up by a supervisor at a later date rather than just initiating the process on the phone. Took about 4 days for anyone to reach back out to me (email first) and then eventually a call from a supervisor. I had to sign a few documents and send them back. I have used FaxZero for ever and never had issues using them but for some reason LegalZoom was struggling with the faxes they were receiving. This wouldn't be a problem but it would take 4 or 5 days for LegalZoom to pick up the document and email me that there was a problem with the fax. No phone call, no ownership, despite my issue being an expedited issue. After this happened again and we were delayed another 5 days because nobody takes ownership of issues and just picks up the phone to call the customer I finally mailed the documents to LegalZoom at my cost of $50 to overnight them. They arrived on a Wednesday, were not uploaded to my account until Friday, and then nobody started working on them until Tuesday... again on an expedited issue. I still have no idea on what the status is... have they been updated to the Secretary of State? No communication, no ownership of issues by LegalZoom, impossible to get ahold of a supervisor and the frontline people are not empowered to handle issues.

They knowingly allowed a person to use my stolen credit card information and failed to take corrective action when informed. They continued to process the charges and never called me back.

If you can help it, do not use this service.
I have been going on 2 months since I filed my LLC.
They lost my order once, forgot about it another time, hung up on me 2 times.
I wanted a simple LLC but they have been stringing me along for two months. They claimed that one of their representatives forgot to put the order through and assured me it would. That was a month ago and It still has not gone through. I have attempted to contact them and the wait time is sometimes well over an hour then they "mysteriously" hung up on me during the call. Horrible horrible horrible customer service!

The worst experience ever, I went to them to file my corporation and my 501c3. Filled out all the paperwork and submitted it, I was told to just wait for a response from the IRS, a year later and no IRS responds. I called the IRS to get an update and found out that LegalZoom did not file my paperwork! To add insult to injury I had to fight with them to give me a refund because it was past their so-called 120 days! NEVER AGAIN! HORRIBLE! I LOST FUNDING FOR MY NON-PROFIT BECAUSE OF THEIR NEGLIGENCE! THEY DID NOTHING! I'M IN TEARS RIGHT NOW!

Submitted request for LLC in 12/10/21, was told I would receive documents on 1/13/22. Now I am being told, that is not how it works. Customer service agents on-line as well as live were rude and short, not providing any valuable information. Was told they would not have a manager contact me. Should have listened to what others have said about LZ.

I USED LEGAL ZOOM TO START MY COMPANY EVERYTHING WAS GREAT THEY WERE VERY HELPFULL IN TAKING MY MONEY BUT WHEN I DIDENT NEED THERE SERVICE ANYLONGER THEY REFUSED TO CANCEL MY SERVICE THEY WANTEED ME TO PAY A FEE TO CANCEL. TO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A SCAM YOU WILL BE ROBBED. HORIBLE COMPANY!

Customer service is a glorified call center where they will kindly tell you to take a hike. Open on weekends is a gimmick. Any help of value is on holiday. They sell you on automated download. However, they need "Ham" the first monkey to the moon to hit the button on their end to make it populate. He's not available on weekends, no supervisor is either 24 hour email turnaround, which really means Monday. To update an executer name i. E. add Jr on a name, on our Family trust and add a beneficiary will take 2-4 days. They will kindly laugh (literally) and tell you that your matter will be handled on Monday because no one is there, meanwhile what ever legal matter could be expired on Monday. Customer service has no concept that they are in the business of legal affairs and that time is of the Essence. They used to have immediate availability and still do. They are just making sure that you aren't making more than one doc. In our case we have the Estate Trust for 2. Absolutely, no need. What a waste of time and money. Not to mention the consequences of failure to meet my wife's visa document deadline. Even with 7 days preorder time. Seek else where that has immediate service and better customer service, self awareness of what legal needs encompass. Highly recommend if you have a month's notice and can afford to waste time on the phone with insincere courtesy just to get your documents right. Good luck collecting on any money back or $50,000.00 guarantee. BTW they claim free revision of documents for 1 year, then when you purchase it magically turns out to be 30 days. Remember, they have to push the button on the other side and it takes up to 4 days to do it, but can be done in 5 minutes if you call. Not on weekends. Oh and they aren't Attorneys. Imagine, an Attorney on staff 5 days a week to push a button for your protection and their's. Get REAL. Be Warned!

Today am currenty on hold for an hour and twenty minutes. Two days ago on hold over an hour. Chat said no agent. Emails not answered..

They are currently in the process of charging me $852 + 280(Essential compliance package) + 250(RA renewal) dollars for their Express gold llc package. Basically I'm getting charged over 1.2k for something I was under the impression would be 350 dollars. This place is not worth it. There are better options.

I purchased a Patent Search package from Legal Zoom. After paying $299 for the package, I wasn't sure how the information would be delivered, or when. So I logged into my account less than 5 minutes after submitting my order and the status read "Shipping". Checking into what "Shipping" meant, the site stated that the search was complete and the package had been shipped via USPS 2 Day shipping (which doesn't exist). Fast forward to 4 days later, the status still showed "Shipping", but checking again, the site stated "4 Day" shipping. On the 5th day, I received an email with a Cover Letter and my Search Results. The cover letter stated that there were 43 search results for my product. The Search Results pdf form consisted of approximately 4 pages out of the 260 page document and only 18 results. The remaining 256 pages were empty. Not knowing if I still had a package coming via USPS, and wanting the rest of my results, I emailed Legal Zoom via the email address provided. That was about 3 days ago, and I have not received any further communication from Legal Zoom. The results that were produced were hardly worth $2.99, much less $299. Needless to say, I will not be filing a patent with Legal Zoom, and I certainly will never do business with them again. What a horrible service. If you're contemplating doing business with these ripoff artists, do yourself a huge favor and keep searching.

Never use this company they took two months to file LLP agreement and I had to call three times just to get them to file everything. Then they refused to refund the money for a terrible experience and didn't stand behind their customer satisfaction guarantee.

Where do I begin? Worst experience ever forming an LLC. I chose legal zoom because this is my first time starting an LLC and was worried about making a mistake, and if I did wanted to be in good hands. I wanted to be with a company who I trusted and could rely on to help me along my journey and process of starting my first company. I didn't care legal zoom cost more money I was more concern with the help I would receive. However, first mistake is filling my LLC With my home address instead of using a virtual address due to me not having an office yet. Legal zoom does not offer an address to use for LLC's when a lot of other companies do but I said to myself that's fine I rather pay extra and obtain my own virtual address than be with a company I don't trust just for that perk. First mistake, needing to change the address after filling for LLC. I was misinformed multiple times about the process. Filling an amendment, not filling an amendment. It was back and forth. I paid to file amendment to update address was told that was wrong and was refunded only to be called a week lady by a manager to let me know I was yet misinformed again and needed to file an amendment and that my EIN is still on hold and I do not need to contact the IRS for change of address which was wrong too. I had received the EIN number already even though it was supposed to be on hold so I wouldn't have to contact the IRS which is extra work for me. The phone call with the manager took another 2 hours out my schedule. I have wasted so much time and money using this company! I am convinced no one at legal zoom knows what they are doing. The manager Juana, that called me made me feel like a number and that she only wanted to do her job. Every question I would ask her she would respond with" I can't provide you that information, I am not an attorney!" WHAT!? All I am asking about is the next steps in the process since my EIN was not left on hold like it was supposed to be. This has been a nightmare! I would never recommend Legal zoom to anyone and they name shouldn't be legal zoom. Should be "not sure what to do zoom" cause this is awful. Worst experience ever!
