The phone representative I spoke with was good at methodically explaining the benefits of the product I was considering without having me feel pressured into making a decision on the spot, so I can give them 5 stars!

Received two notices to save money on renewal. Called and they said I had to go with the old amount - $299 instead of $119.25. They told me they would see what they could do and get back to me. Have emailed several times and no one gets back.

LegalZoom's structural network is designed to discourage customers from completing orders. In addition their customer service is a joke. Their representatives are not knowledgeable on the services they offer, the differences between them, nor will they direct you to a supervisor after you have had to call in 4 times for the same hold. 100% not with the money or your time. I would add images to support this claim but their contain confidential information.

Take your business elsewhere for DBAs and LLCs

I WAS UNAWARE THAT I COULD GET AN EIN TO START A BUSINESS FOR FREE THROUGH THE CORPORATION COMMISSION. I THEN WENT THROUGH LEGAL ZOOM HOWEVER THAT HAPPENED. THEY HAD A $399 DOLLAR YEARLY FEE (FOR 3 YEARS) THAT I WAS NOT AWARE OF. THEY HAVE SINCE SENT ME TO COLLECTIONS AND I HAVE PERFECT 750 CREDIT SCORE. I WILL NOT BE PAYING THEM. I AM SO DISPLEASED

LegalZoom completely ripped us off. We paid the service for them to take care of the LLC registration for our new business and ended up with no response from any of their agents. We ended up doing the LLC registration ourselves and sending all the paperwork to state/local registrants. Our account apparently went into collections as I just received a notice. These folks are snakes. Do not do business with them.

They changed the UI. Overall I've found their services to be very helpful in starting my own business, but the new UI is so bad it's almost impossible to navigate to anything they you need. Additionally, a lot of their links are broken or aren't working properly.

Get it together LegalZoom. And fire whoever you paid to make this god-awful new website.

I am so frustrated that I ever signed up for Legalzoom, it's ironic because the only thing legal about this company is how they can keep your money without getting in trouble. They have horrible service, and it's almost near impossible getting a hold of them. I tried to cancel my subscription and they didnt budge at all on giving my money back. As a matter of fact, when I asked politely (and naively) the rep I was speaking with started screaming and then hung up on. The worst fact is that I only used their service once last year and the fact that I had to hire my own lawyer anyways proved that this completely is utterly useless. Please do not make the same mistake as I did and lose your hard worked money. STAY AWAY, you've been warned.

Customer Service is as terrible as it gets. Worked super slow. It's faster and easier to give them your money and subscribe, getting rid of their service is harder and slower than anything I've ever experienced. Horrible. Expensive subscription for barely any service. If you have an emergency after business hours, good luck, you're on your own.

I used legal zoom to establish my business. I did my research on names and EXPECTED legal zoom to do the same thing. Well, legal zoom incorporated my business and I received a cease and desist letter almost a year later, stating their business had the same name and to stop using mine. They had trademarked it. I contacted legal zoom and told them what happened and a rep said ‘well, if they trademarked it you have to change it.' I was able to come up with another name and legal zoom told me I would have to be financially responsible to change all forms by myself, because they couldn't do it! WHAT! I told them it was their fault because they were supposed to do a search as well and the person trademarked it before mine was incorporated and they said they couldn't help me; I was on my own. A waste of nearly $400 dollars and I have to do everything myself!

Canceled my account 2 years ago with them, and now receive a notice of debt for $399... bunch of frauds.

To those who ever use this or have used these services please know, years later you will find out they scammed you into telling you that you owe all this amount of money for services you never authorized that they say you signed up for. They have it set up so that when you do get told that you owe all this money (when you don't actually) and you're in a panic that they will remove the threat to collections by having you pay $99 dollars! WHAT!? They will fear monger you into believing you have to pay this amount, that you agreed to this in the terms, and even if you call and cancelled prior to this like I did because I saw the fine print and what ppl had said, well too bad because they will say this never happened or that it's not on record or someone didn't do something right or will find a way to continue to tell you it was your fault. No. Horrible. Don't allow them to intimidate you. They make it so you feel you have no sense of control in the outcome and try to say did you see the "fine print" to further harm you and repeat like a broken record.

It's cruel what you're doing to people who seek your services for help. You falsify this message and then take advantage of people. If someone who creates this model of business doesn't feel shame for the harm you can cause, I can't understand how you can wake up in the morning and function or how much work you must put into your mind to numb out everything that makes someone human. This isn't something you do to people no matter what power or control you may have. I hope somehow you learn that your greed and harm is not going to get you to a better place.

I used Legal Zoom to create my LLC in 2017. I paid for the $399 service and all went well and I was quite pleased with the service. Now 4 years later I have received a letter from a Dallas Texas law firm stating that I owe $399 or will face legal action. Legal Zoom has some shady business tactics that have been expressed time and time again. I will never again use the services of this firm.

I pay 689.00 for a packaged deal that says a registered agent is included and then I get charged 249.00 for a registered agent and told I didn't pay for it so why do I think it's included, because it says the word included in the receipt for 689.00. They will manipulate people to get more money and charge your credit card without your approval. Because they tried charging mine when I only approved 689.00 packaged deal and then they tried to tack on 280.00 in membership fees. When I tried to question them conveniently for them the call kept on failing.

Stay away. It's a ripoff that you will be charged every year for nothing at value what so ever. To cancel is another ripoff. A headache and a nightmare. HELL NO.

I purchased the package through legal zoom which included the Power of attorney, Will in Testament, and Living will along with 1 year of attorney services. I am a terminally ill cancer patient and i am trying to legally get this done as soon as possible. After completing some of the forms i noticed that what i am needing is more in depth than the forms included in this package so i called and spoke to an agent from Legal Zoom whom assured me they would refund all monies paid should this not work for me or if i am not happy for whatever reason. I have been calling and on hold for the last almost 2 hours and just keep getting transferred and unable to receive any help at all, so i decided to try that chat option again to get what was promised to me done and the chat agent is not telling me i cannot get a refund (not what i was told previously) i asked to speak to a manager and they told me none were available and i wont get a call for 48-72 hours but it was not guaranteed it would be from a manager. I have now been on hold for about 3 hours and keep getting my calls disconnected and hung up on. This company is a scam and takes peoples money and then cannot be reached after something is purchased from them. DO NOT USE THEM! Use a real attorney that won't dodge your calls, and be impossible to reach and don't offer to refund all monies and then go back on what was initially promised. As a terminally ill cancer patient it's alarming and just horrible practice on how theyre trying to take money from someone who is dying.

I had a great experience! She was very knowledgeable, understanding, patient and answered all my questions. In the end I felt confident in what I was doing and the next steps.

Most States and the IRS have web interfaces for all the filings you need to do that are a thousand times more user friendly than what you will get from legalZoom. Except for sales, you will never get to talk to anyone in customer support, so don't count on getting any help. Not worth it. See screenshot of last support call hold time. I gave up after 80 minutes.

Worthless they know nothing about your company and don't care to. 2 plus hour wait time to speak to a rep. The worst company I've worked with.

There must be alternatives to LegalZoom. My 1st dba with them took over 6 months to register. I needed a 2nd dba and took my chances. LegalZoom took my money without blinking but won't complete my dba because they have "a question" but refuse to answer emails or their phone. See the screenshot of me waiting almost TWO HOURS *after* their computer called me back to "avoid wait time."

So, I am about to contact my credit card company and dispute the charge like I would with a third world country or Irreputable vendor such as Legal Zoom is.

My advice -- either DO IT YOURSELF, or find another service to use.

Legal Zoom was fine 10 years ago but today it is bloated, unprofessional and evidently fraudulent.
