**This review is for the new shipping service option Kroger has recently started**

I decided to try out the new shipping service offered by Kroger. I don't have a local Kroger store in my area. I usually have to drive to the next city over to shop there. I do shop at Kroger's regularly.

- The Pros -
* Free Shipping Over $35.00
* On Your First Order You Receive Free Shipping (regardless of your total) plus 15 percent off
* Fast Delivery (I ordered on October 15th and received my items October 17th)
* Convenient
* You don't have to wait in long check out lines
* On arrival, my items were packed very nicely. The best I've seen. There was a cardboard divider separating my canned items from my Popcorn & Chex Mix. Plus the items were wrapped in paper & the heavy cans also had a spongy type netting wrapped around them. I assumed to keep them from being dented.

- The Cons -
* Not a huge amount of products to choose from
* You have to purchase 2 of most items
* Many of the selections had a label on them claiming they were not available. It could just be because this is a new service or it could be something else.

Overall, I will be using the Kroger shipping option again & I would recommend it.

Disappointed
February 4, 2022

I will get right to the point - why did you stop stocking RIPPLE Original Dairy-free Half & Half alternative. An acquaintance recommended it to me over 1-1/2 yrs ago and I've been using it ever since, that is until you recently stopped stocking it. In fact, the Bryan TX store on Boonville Rd remerchandised the creamer section. Where there are many, many flavored non-dairy creamers to choose from, there are only a few unflavored. I loved the RIPPLE, because to me it tasted as good as it's counterpart, Dairy half & half. I live in Caldwell Tx, 25 miles from Bryan. And while we have a Brokshire Bros (another disappointment) I drive all the way into Bryan to do the bulk of my grocery shopping. I see that you carry the RIPPLE non-dairy milk, so the half & half must be available to you.

Fuel points rip off
September 12, 2016

From last year 2015 - I'm tracking pricing at Kroger and another loco stores.
On average - pricing in Kroger are (minimum) 30% higher than loco stores.
For example: black pepper McCormick price at Kroger - $ 4.99. Loco store - $ 3.49.
Large ready ribs - Kroger $ 14.99 - loco store $ 9.95.
Tonic water (Canadian Tonic) - Kroger very $ 1.49 / 1.69. Loco store - $. 0.99 / 1.19
Detergent prices - $ 3.00 to $ 4.45 average - are higher compering to loco store.
On $ 100.00 spend in Kroger - you are receiving $ 0.10 off on fuel.
At $ 400.00 spend in Kroger - you got $ 0.40 0ff per gallon up to 35 gallons.
35 x 0.40= $ 14.00
Now - basic math - if you spend $ 400.00 at Kroger - you overpaid minimum 30%.
30% of $ 400.00 = $ 120.00
You spend $ 120.00 more compering to another loco stores.
$ 120.00 - you can purchase at loco gas station - price per gallon $ 2.25... 120 / 2.25= 53.3 gallons.
If you will use Kroger discount $ 400.00 = $ 0.40... $ 2.25 - 0.40=$ 1.85 per gallon x 35 gallons= $ 64.75 ( if you have a big tank).
You can see - 53.3 gallons versus 35 gallons.
Really for me - RIP OFF

Covert Racism
June 25, 2023

Employment with Kroger
Corey,
A complete investigation was done; I have statements and photographs of training and violations that support the separation. This is not discrimination in any way but a an issue of safety and failure to follow Kroger policy.
From: Mr. Cory D. Lewis

Thank you for informing me,but I was not told or trained about these said safety violations with your vans, superficially leaving the keys in the van when it was not occupied.
I was told about this incident on 4-09-2022 I was placed on suspension the same day. May you please forward the findings on these violations? In the drivers employee handbook there are no statements concerning removing a key from a van at any distance, not just the fact during my tenure as a driver there I was in TRAINING learning the dos and don'ts.I would like to see the written findings or video about these violations. I truly believe I was being discriminated against. If I need to provide evidence I can.

Thank you for reaching out regarding your position with Kroger. An email was sent to you in April notifying you that your position was terminated on April 15th due to several safety violations with our vans, superficially leaving the keys in the van when it was not occupied.
I apologize if you didn't receive the email; please contact me if you have any future questions
Thank you,

This is my second attempt at corresponding with Kroger in regards to the draconian conditions at the Texas City Kroger store. To refresh your memory – I was a part-time employee in the bakery department. I started working for Kroger in December 2023 and voluntarily terminated my employment on June 10,2024. I never had any issues with being written up (it is odd that Kroger resorts to this practice before any verbal counseling or redirection but that is just one of many poor management practices at Kroger) until I gave notice that I was leaving. I gave a month's notice in order to be available to cover for other bakery employee vacations, and since giving notice I have been written up twice in one week. One write up was for not following "tortilla standards" (which no one is aware of) which I was totally unaware and the other one was for not filling tables correctly – something else I was never trained on. It is absolutely unbelievable that Kroger employees – your most valuable asset, by the way – are treated with blatant disrespect and at times downright meanness by so called managers. It is safe to assume that this occurs because they (store management) suffer no consequences for treating people so poorly as upper management/corporate types apparently condone these practices. It is not unusual to see employees in tears at work due to excessive browbeating by managers (who are for the most part uneducated – high school graduates at best – and have had no training in good management practices) who refuse to address them with even a modicum of respect as well as refusing to adequately staff the store in order to preserve profits and management bonuses. Their behavior is reminiscent of the tyrants who ran the sweatshops in the early part of the last century. It is very odd that in 2024 any corporation, especially one like Kroger, would choose to model themselves after such a not only much maligned but also failed system of management.

I am hopeful but not too optimistic that raising awareness of these deplorable management practices will effect positive change for those still unfortunate enough to be employed at Kroger. I am fortunate in that I did not have to work but I will never forget the horrible plight of those left behind to suffer at the hands of the most incompetent, mean spirited people I have run into in many, many years.

You all may want to heed some of Sir Richard Branson statements –

"Train People well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don't want to".
"Take care of your employees and they will take care of your business. It's that simple".
"Loyal employees are assets – NOT LIABILITIES.

Of course, Kroger's mentality and priority - corporate greed.
Dictators, no leaders.
Pretty sad the rating and review Kroger has and no one pays attention.
Hope for the best, to my ex-fellow employees.

I spent 1 1/2 hours shopping at kroger in Rockwall. On N. GOLIAD this morning. When I first walked in blueberries 1.8 oz were 4.99, I'm one person they had a smaller package. 98 of an once no difference in price. Asked the woman in the produce dept. Showed her the difference in the weight, her answer was I don't know they just tell us to put it there. Go to the fresh bread isle you know where they make it fresh. There were knats flying inside the closed bag. I brought it to the attention to the ladies behind the counter. They told me to leave it there. I told there are more bags with knats in it. Didn't buy bread. Went up every isle. I should of left when I saw the bread. But grocery shopping is not my favorite thing to do. After I had my large cart filled. They had one lane open. And no bagger. If I were at Aldi I would understand. But why do I have to do there job. And pay high prices for it. I Get they may be short handed. But there was 3 large orders in front of me. Asked if they could open another lane. Was told to use the self check out. Again my cart was full. And I'm tired of baggers putting snowball in with my fresh veggies. I asked the young bagger don't they give you a crash court on how to do this answer was no. I called to complain they offered me 30.00 credit. I can make more than that working on ebay. I'm tired of the way they treat people. Left my basket and went Bad news on N. GOLIAD IN ROCKWALL TEXAS. Left my groceries and went to Aldi.

Purchased $176 worth of groceries. Chose time for 6/30/23 from 10am-11am for KROGER delivery. Nothing. I tried reaching out at 11:45 nothing. Couldn't connect to chat or via phone. Finally at 12:30pm connected by phone. Order online says 'out for delivery'. Rep said she called dispatch. Couldn't give an ETA, nothing. Said dispatch wanted to know if I wanted to cancel. Well no. Delayed plans now and time it took to do my order. Called again at 7pm. Couldn't give an ETA. Got a text from Kroger saying they are giving me $10 off on NEXT purchase. Rep gave me $20. Not even sure it's there. Then 8pm get a text stating, " Your Kroger delivery has been cancelled. If you weren't expecting this, give us a call at *******377." HUH? Why would I expect it? Then I go to my account online, it says it's cancelled and will be refunded immediately BUT my bank may not have it for 3-7 business days." WOW. So I'm on hold, which takes about 30 minutes to get to talk to someone. Never again for delivery KROGER. Wasted time in doing the order, cancelled plans because it's 180 degrees out and last time you didn't ring the door bell so I have to keep checking and be here, then you won't even keep people updated via text that you are late? Horrible Horrible customer service. Guess you don't need my $200. Oh well.

This evening, November 5th, 2016 at about 7pm CST, I tried to cash a United States government check at the Kroger in Rosenberg Texas, *******, Brazos Town Center, and was refused, with no reason or explanation when I asked the Kroger employee.

I went to HEB at 99 and 59 and they cashed it right away for me, when I presented my valid Texas Drivers License.

Previously, I've tried to renew my valid Texas Automobile registration at this Kroger and was refused, again, with no reason or explanation when I asked the Kroger employee.

I went to the Tax Assessors office and they immediately renewed my valid Texas Automobile registration on the spot.

When I asked them why Kroger would refuse to renew my registration they didn't know why and advised me to contact an attorney.

I'm upset that they've wasted my time stopping there for what should have been reliable, simple and straight forward transactions. Instead, I've had to go elsewhere.

You know, I don't generally believe in *prejudice* and racism, but I'm *definitely* going to contact my attorney about this kind of conduct and seemingly regular *discrimination*.

I've stopped going to this Kroger for good now, as I'm pretty sure you can imagine.

Handicap carts
June 12, 2023

The handicap carts here at braselton highway in Buford Georgia are all have battery memories which means when they plug it in it don't charge fully. Depending what time of day you coming to store the cards are dead or will die within 20 to 30 minutes not enough time to shop I've tried to contact customer service at their main location I've got hung up on I have dozen times when I do get anywhere they don't give you any idea that they will do anything I have been in the area for 15 years and it's gotten worse every year now they barely run but nobody will call and complain from what I see nobody is because they would fix it if everybody complained well that's not here or there they should do it if one person complains they should go out and check the cards every employee knows about it except the manager who says nothing is wrong and he's in a dream world should never become manager of the store terrible manager hides in his office dresses like a 20 year old kid and disrespects everybody who doesn't agree with him

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE from the Flower Department! VERY DISORGANIZED! MY WEDDING FLOWERS WERE CANCELLED 2 WEEKS BEFORE MY WEDDING! I ordered flowers for my wedding. The manager for the floral dept. wrote down the details of the order and did not give me a copy because she said the copier did not work. I asked her to email it and 3 weeks later, she still had not emailed it. When I went to the store to pay the deposit several weeks later, they still did not have a copy of the order. When I complained to Lori, one of the employees in floral, she said she had no idea where the order was and that I had to come on a different day to pick up the copy. She told the manager Morgan that I had said that she was unprofessional and MORGAN CALLED ME BACK TO CANCEL MY ORDER! I got my money back and spoke with Debra, one of the Store Managers at Kroger's, and she did nothing except give me a refund. This Store Manager has terrible customer service skills and does the bare minimum to take care of customers. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ORDERING FLOWERS AT THIS KROGER'S! ESPECIALLY WEDDING FLOWERS! It is hard to get in touch with the Floral Manager because her schedule changes constantly. IT IS NOT WORTH THE STRESS!

I bought an Atchatz fruit Pie at Kroger and went bk to buy more as they were delicious. Went to 5 different stores and could not find them. Took a long time, fuel, and it is cold in Michigan. Called Kroger Corporate Offices and was emailed a list where I was assured I could go and get the pies even though some stores were quite a distance from where I live. Out of the 15 stores given not ONE had the pies and even when in-store customer service was asked about them they gave me the kind of hunched shoulder ( I don't know, scratching the head type of answer). I HAVE BEEN GOING TO KROGER A LONG, LONG TIME. ( I really don't want to tell U how long)! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NIL TO BAD. IF Corporate cannot help the customer and know what they have in stock, then woe to the customer who asks in store for help. Im a senior, fixed income and all that and gas and time and driving from store to store is horrific. If you call the store U are put on hold for so long you can have a new birthday waiting on hold! They obviously NOW just care about Profit and customer service is out the window like a rotary phone.
