I made an error by booking a flight using their calendar but accidentally chose the wrong month. (Note: the month that populates in the calendar is not the current month.) Since I bought the least expensive ticket, Kiwi does not provide good customer service unless you buy a more expensive ticket. You can't cancel with them without a huge penalty. In my case, my ticket was $150, and they only offered me an $11 refund or discount on a different ticket even though I tried to cancel the same day that I made the purchase. And you are unable to cancel or change tickets with the airline if you bought your ticket from an outside vendor like Kiwi. I won't ever buy through Kiwi again!
I tried to cancel my flights with kiwi.com as soon as I found out about the flight restrictions that would keep me from flying. I asked for cancellation and refund within 2 days of booking, 2 months before my flight was going out. They told me they would review my request and let me know in 3 months. All they did was give me a $10.22 credit which is a joke. They are considered a legal scam company. They make these rules to where you can not get a refund, and they do not even try to help. This is why they can scam you legally. Stay away from this place
Bought my flight n need to reschedule it (paid another full price), haven't received the new ticket more than 24 hours and started to calling them to check closer the the flying date. The made sure the seats are secure! Just to get a message the next day from them that the seat are sold out! Even had the audacity to mentioned refund. Have been waiting for the refund to be complete from 20 July 2022 until now (9 August 2023) even message them everyday! Are you for realll?
Worst website on the scene. After 10 months I did not receive refund. But they deleted my account and trip details so I will never get the refund. Daylight robbery! They did not respond to queries and they are always anonymous. There is no option to give negative stars which they deserve. Their behaviour is more like scammers.
We booked a non-refundable flight, however the airlines cancelled the flight an hour before take off. In this case, the airlines refunded the money to Kiwi. However, it's been 5 months, Kiwi isn't refunding our money back. There is no way to contact them directly and the chat is answered by different agents every time. Can anyone help?
Kiwi.com is nothing but a gang of scammers.
The refund policy is only dust thrown to their customers, offering 2 possibilities: getting 10 euros refund for a flight or paying another 20 euros and waiting 6 months for getting an unknown amount refund.
It seems like is the time for the best layers in the world to take action and destroy them as they deserve.
And this should be a lesson for all the future customers: Kiwi.com is not an option. Never.
The worst travel agency you can imagine. Booked a return flight to Kutaisi at a time convenient to me and my partner, they sent me an email changing my return alone to leave 10 hours earlier with no offer of alternative as per their policies, called to ask to change to another flight and pay the difference, denied me any rights, and stated, Go to your lawyer, live with it, that's it!
Both companies are a fraud business.
Kiwi lies about its services. Everytime you want to make a change of time of travel they overcharge you. Their affiliation with travel insurance axa is even worse as they do not reimburse you, they send you a pin to your online claim to log in that never reaches you.
Only seal with kiwi.com if it is the last resort and remember that they will bot reimburse you for a flight delay or airline change of travel date or time even with kiwi guaranteed insurance service.
My experience with kiwi.com was horrible. I contracted them in February of 2020 for several flights that were ultimately cancelled because of the pandemic. The customer service and communication were awful. Despite the fact that all airlines that I booked through kiwi.com had clear policies to provide full reimbursements when flights were cancelled as a result of the pandemic, that I sent over 15 messages to their customer service, and paid extra for a priority-assisted refund, I am still waiting for a reimbursement nearly a year and a half later. For other flights on this same trip booked through the airlines themselves that were cancelled due to the pandemic, including some of the same airlines as I booked through kiwi.com, I was able to get full refunds within two months.
Seems like dressed up fraud. It is better and more useful to burn your money to watch the flames and feel the warmth than to give it to Kiwi.com.
I bought plane tickets from them. The airline changed the schedule and it didn't work with me. I canceled the ticket one month before the date, but no refund from them. Be careful they are good on "terms & conditions" and you will lose the dispute with your cc. Scam artist. Beware
My flight was cancelled due to covid. I was told that I would get a refund but it's been 7 months now. It's not a small amount of money. I have to file a claim to DOT hopefully they will help. The worst website. Do not buy tickets from them. Ridiculous! Thief's!
Had to cancel international flight after Kiwi.com made it clear only after the purchase there was to be no check baggage. To put checked baggage on the flight it would have cost upwards of 200 euro. When requesting a refund they only refunded a total of 34 euro, in which they too 20 (for a flight costing more than 600 euro) The requested cancellation and refund was made immediately after purchase (same day) and would have in no way affected either kiwi.com or the flight provider. Disgusting service with no remedy to problem, seems there are multiple issues with other customers dealing with similar problems. UNSAFE to use as a consumer.
I deeply regret booking with Kiwi. I scheduled a morning flight to Barcelona to catch my booked tourist liner in the evening. However, the airline changed the schedule, so that my flight arrives after the liner departures. Despite this significant inconvenience, Kiwi accepted the schedule change without notifying me and refused to reschedule my flight. I could have easily resolved this issue directly with the airline. I see no value in using Kiwi and strongly advise booking directly with the company instead.
This is a $#*!ing scam. They managed to $#*! up twice on one flight.
They changed our flights 7 hours before we flew so we had to buy new flights. They didn't offer any compensation or alternative flights. I requested a refund and haven't heard anything. Avoid-absolute $#*!ing $#*!e
I don't recommend any one to deal with this travel agency (Kiwi) as they are only big thieves. I reserved a flight through them and they immediately sent me the confirmation (after my full payment). Then, three day before flight date, they sent me an email saying that the carrier has changed the flight date and time and accordingly, I have to change my flight as well. The fees they were requesting to change my flight were incredibly too much. I elected to cancel the whole flight, however the refund was ZERO amount from what I paid. They offered only 5% from what I paid to be utilized in any future purchase through their website that should not exceed 12 month from the 1st reservation date. I don't recommend this thieve travel agency to any one including my enemies and they don't deserve any star, I will never buy from them at all.
If there was an option to rate KIWI with a zero i would. Absolutely terrible. We purchased tickets for our trip and the connection flight home was cancelled. No one notified us until i called the carrier myself to confirm all flight information. In fact, I was the one to inform KIWI of the cancellation. They were unable to provide me any good or at least decent alternatives. I had to cancel my entire trip because i could no longer trust i would find a ticket at the airport during my travels. They cannot guarantee me a full refund and i need to wait 3 months just for them to provide me any type of response for my refund. Horrible and very disappointed - i will never use them again.
I used them for a ticket and they changed my flight date in the confirmation after payment has been made and refused to pay refund or modify dates. Their system asks for 100 percent fee for replacing the flight so the large sum of money I paid is gone due to these bunch people f scammers even though the date they put in the confirmation is a month away
I just booked a flight with them and triple checked all the information, but when I received the confirmation email, they flipped my departure and arrival locations. When I contacted them to change it to the correct locations, they charged me an additional fee for more than what the original flight was and claimed the error was on my part. This company is a scam and will purposely mess with your itinerary in order to charge you more money.
Kiwi pretended I made a mistake on my name so issued an E ticket which would have been unusable. They refused to correct the error unless I paid them a further 90 Euros despite my flights costing almost 2000 GBP. My tickets were never issued correctly so the flights were lost. They were the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Do not trust this company. Book your flights direct with the airlines.
Scam website - they quote a price for a flight. Half way through completing the booking form a popup comes up saying the price has gone up - by 300%! When I search again, their original price still comes up. The process repeats. Its fairly clear they have no intention of selling at their advertised price - it's just a bait-and-switch con to lure people in. Clearly not a trustworthy company. Just con merchants.
Answer: I have reserved 7 flight through Kiwi with Spirit Airlines. Within 24 h I realised that I made a mistake on the flight date. I made a change and saw that Kiwi wanted to charge for both flights. When I told them I thought I could be reimbursed, they told me to go through the refund process on their website. I did. Just to make sure, I called Spirit and explained the issue. They said that they would fully reimburse Kiwi because the change was make within 24 h and it was an american law. Today, I received the answer for my refund request and Kiwi said they could not get reimbursement from the airline and I would have to pay double. When I tried to reach them to tell them there had to be another way, all of their contact information on their website was 'temporarily unavailable'. I feel like they have stolen from me.
