Zero Stars (system forced me to give one)
December 3, 2022

On Christmas Day 2021 our KitchenAid walloven died while cooking a turkey. On January 27 we placed an order with 50% down to a local furniture distributor, with a shipping date of August 9. On August 10 the shipping date changed to December 9. Today December 3 the shipping date changed to April 11 2023. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY CONTINUE TAKING ORDERS WHILE BEING UNABLE TO FULFILL EXISTING ORDERS, IN OUR OPINION THIS IS FRAUDULENT AND BORDERLINE CRIMINAL, COVID IS NO LONGER AN EXCUSE.

Don't bother
December 3, 2022

My KitchenAid dishwasher is the most expensive one I ever owned. It's also the one I had the most issues with. First there was a recall, and they had to come out and replace the heating element.
Then, I believe it was just about the time the warranty expired, the pump gave out. I actually had issues on and off with it before that….my bad for not getting it fixed sooner.
I thought I would ask them if they could see their way to covering PART of the cost. Not all of it, just part.
I had e-mail conversations with Jennifer at customer service. First they offered me 40% off a new appliance. With conditions of course. I replied I don't want a new one… just want mine fixed.
She replied that, because of the age of the DW, they couldn't do anything. So apparently they consider >4 years to be "old". Amazing, since my less expensive ones lasted 10+ years without issues.
So I will spend the $500 on repairs, since the 2 major parts (pump and heating element) have been replaced. But I will never purchase their products again.

Do not waste your hard earn money!

We bought all our major appliances from Kitchen Aid 6 years ago ONLY.
When it was delivered, the was an issue with the refrigerator. The delivery guys decided to take the complicate doors out in order to go through the door, which he did not have too. Doors would've fit perfectly without the handles only. Because of it, some how the fridge did not work well and the freezer kept over working and somehow we were unable to close the drawer property.

Now the little panel that control the veggies drawers temperature, stop working out of the blue. I called and I was told that they could send a Tech here for $140.00 a visit, not parts and not labor. Then I asked the Agent how much she thought will that run at the end of the Tech visit, she did not reply!

Then there is the range. When it was supposed to be delivered, it got delayed because the guy loading it to the truck, somehow, dropped it and broke the glass. They delivered a brand new one a couple of days later.
But then, after only 3 years, the cheap knobs started to peel off to a point that I cut finger. I called to complain and the Agent realizing it shouldn't have happened, sent replacement knobs. But only another 3 years later, the knobs are peeling off again!
I called know to request new knobs and the Agent said that they can send them to me but would cost me $84.49 EACH, plus S/H. I need 5 knobs!

I would never buy this brand again. Counter Top or Major appliances, never again.
For the price we paid for our appliances, it should last much longer then it did!
I am a very disappointed costumer for sure.

I purchased a Kitchen Aid side by side refrigerator to replace a 6-year-old Kitchen Aid refrigerator that had a freon leak. Based on the appliances matching we stayed with the same refrigerator. After 1 month it stopped making ice and dispensing water. They set up a service call with G&G and the day before they supposed to come, they changed the service call date because it didn't fit within their scheduling routing. I asked for another service provider, and they showed up on time and were very helpful. The problem was diagnosed to be the water valves were not working and had to be replaced. Parts were ordered and a week later the new valves were installed, and the water and ice maker worked again. A week later the water and icemaker stopped working again and we went through the service call process and again the valves were not working, and they had to be replaced. This would be 3 sets of valves in a matter of 2 months, which tells me there is something else that's shorting out the valves. I spoke to the Kitchen Aid customer service representative, and they refused to replace the appliance and said the valves need to replaced again. I asked to speak to supervisor and the rep declined to transfer me. Now I am stuck waiting for the next repair. The quality of KitchenAid refrigerators is awful to match the customer service. If you need a new appliance, run from KitchenAid and do your research to find a manufacturer that delivers high quality appliances and if there is an issue, they take care of their customer service.

We bought 4 appliances 4 years ago and are replacing them all. Each have needed service calls. Year one, the wheels on the upper rack of the dishwasher broke, the rack fell right off, sideways in a cycle. It required 5 appointments and wasn't covered by warranty. The service guy put a screw right through the kitchen island, damaging the wood. It was not fixed and we were not compensated for it. The ice maker stopped working within 3 years. Service man replaced it at our cost. New one didn't work either. Serviceman came back and further inspection showed broken copper wiring in the door. We could buy a new door at $1400! NOT! The convection option in the oven quit working in year 2. Of course it wasn't warrantied. It's gas and sold as 'self cleaning'. What it actually has is 'Aqua Clean', which is a joke. You put a pan of water in the over and it heats to 200F. Nothing burns off of course. The Microwave quit working and required 2 service calls. Apparently it keeps blowing a fuse? Our previous appliances were 14 years old, we just wanted to upgrade, but it's been a total downgrade. DO NOT waste your money!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE
March 29, 2022

I bought a kitcheaide dishwasher from Lowe's and it broke after 16 1/2 months of regular where in tear. I called Kitchen Aide and spoke to a woman named Whisper, Who had to be the most unepthetic unhelpful customer service rep I have ever spoken to. I will NEVER BUY OR RECOMMEND Kitchenaide

I purchased 5 appliances in Aug 2021, the kitchenaid cooktop I received in Nov 2021, has already been serviced 3 times by a technician. I am still waiting for an ETA on 2 other appliances, a wall oven and dishwasher. It is now Aug 2022 and still have no info on when my Wall Oven and Dishwasher are to arrive. I purchased them as a package in late Aug 2021 and was told to pay in full so that I would be placed in queue quicker to receive them. One year later I am still without these 2 appliances. I am tired of hearing the Covid excuses. Each time I call I am told the items are delayed another month. This is unacceptable. You have taken my money in full for over a year and knowing full well these appliances will take a long time to arrive, you as a vendor do not offer any solutions in the meantime to the customer. Shame on you. There is no customer service, and my experience in dealing with the customer service has been a terrible nightmare. I will NEVER buy KitchenAid products again, and I will tell everyone to do the same.

Recently bought a new house with brand new Kitchenaid appliances.
Microwave Hood Combination: Takes double the time of a smaller microwave to heat water (or anything else) but it looks good.
Electric Induction Range: Top already has a crack in it (we didn't drop anything on it). The oven takes a good 45 minutes to heat to 400 F (I sit and read the paper). The finger "touch" electronic controls are frustrating to use (especially the timer)
French Door Refrigerator: Shoots ice cubes all over the kitchen, leaks water out from under the metal under the water dispenser (don't know where this comes from but it also gets all over my hardwood floor). The freezer is so small that you can barely store anything in it. You have to open both doors to access anything in the main part of the fridge.
Steel Tub Dishwasher: seal pulls away constantly and so you get leaks all over the floor. (Our floor is hardwood, so not a good situation). We got tired of having to push the seal back in place so our "beautiful" dishwasher sits and does not get used. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BRAND OF APPLIANCE!

Major KitchenAid kitchen products do not last 5 years. KitchenAid may not have the replacement parts. Whirlpool products are much cheaper and appear similar.

We redid our kitchen about 5 years ago. Our KitchenAid dishwasher worked well. So, we thought as we go into retirement, we would spend the additional money to buy quality products and we purchased all KitchenAid: Refrigerator, Double Oven, Microwave, Gas Cook Top, and Exhaust fan. The Gas cook top and exhaust fan are great. However, the refrigerator needed to be replaced, the double oven required maintenance and the microwave key board stopped working. I received a discount to buy another refrigerator, I had an extended warranty on the double oven, and I tried to find out what part I needed for the microwave.

After spending several hours on the phone with KitchenAid (whirlpool), I was redirected the parts department (a third party), they cannot help me and I needed to contact a service person. I called back KitchenAid and they transferred me to a help line, after waiting several minutes, the recording said I can receive a call back, at the end of the day, the automated system told to me to schedule an appointment, I never received a call back. I called KitchenAid again and they told me a technician would not be sent out for the microwave, and the part was no longer available. They offered 25% discount off a new microwave. With shipping it was more expensive than buying it locally. I called back to find a microwave that would fit in our build in cabinets. I was told about a whirlpool microwave, much cheaper, same dimensions, and when I received it the only difference was that the KitchenAid had some more fake chrome and the KitchenAid. KitchenAid told me if they ship it FedEx there would be no cost for shipping. I bought it from Whirlpool because I wanted to be assured that it would fit in the cabinets. If you really want to buy KitchenAid products don't have a high expectation of customer service and buy Whirlpool, just use a pen to change the name from Whirlpool to KitchenAid.

Don't buy junk
April 22, 2022

Don't ever buy KitchenAid brand and don't ever shop for appliances at Lowes. I bought a KitchenAid stove range in Dec 2021 it stopped working after one week the oven was not getting the temperature beyond 150f I went to this Lowes store and asked them if I could exchange it to another name brand model. They said per appliances return policy it is 48 hours only return policy. I asked why wasn't this communicated with me at the time of purchase he answered that it is my responsibility to find out and search it on the Internet and they scheduled a technician after one week of my call. The technician ordered the ignition module that the stove needed but it will take one month to arrive.

I called kitchenaid to see if they will replace it to another model after numerous phone call I called their executive office and they said my only option is to wait and there is nothing they can do for me.

I paid $1500 for this stove and yet it is sitting in my kitchen for almist two months usless can't even use after one week of buying it.

We purchased a Kitchenaid Refrigerator from Rices Appliances in Bradenton, Florida. We have always purchased Subzero but were told that the $2500. 00 Kitchenaid Refrigerator would be as good as the Subzero. We have never had any problems with the Subzero we have in South Carolina at our summer home. Within the first 60 days the ice maker broke down. We had it repaired but still had problems with the ice maker freezing over. Every 2 weeks my husband has had to dump the ice and use a hair dryer to unfreeze the ice collecting on the coils. Now the refrigerator is 22 months old and the ice maker has stopped dispensing ice. I called Rices and they said because we didn't purchase the extended warranty that we would have to pay for it to be serviced this time. I can't believe that we are having all these problems with a brand new refrigerator. We will never buy another Kitchenaid Appliance. We will stick with Subzero from now on out. The warranty on the Subzero is 5 years versus the one year warranty on the Kitchenaid Refrigerator.

I will never buy a KitchenAid appliance again
We built our house in 2017 and purchased all KitchenAid appliances... Refrigerator, Oven Dishwasher, Microwave and Stove. My original microwave control panel start button broke after 4 years. I started communication with customer service in Nov 2021. I had to replace the whole microwave. I am disappointed with the quality of the original product! No replacement parts are made. Unacceptable! Cost me $450 with a loyalty discount that they gave me and $100 to install. Spent hours on the phone trying to contact customer service. Don't know who to call, no effective solutions offered, and no one called me back when they said they would! Received 5 emails telling me that my product was back in stock when it was NOT in stock. Wrote a letter to the CEO of KitchenAid. Got a receipt that it was received... BUT NEVER GOT ANY RESPONSE! REALLY! Finally received in March 2022. 5 months later with a broken part. Called for replacement. They sent a new turntable piece... but the wrong one. Not for our model. Now waiting for a replacement. My neighbor had a similar problem with his KitchenAid microwave... same model. He bought a new one from a local retailer. The QUALITY of their products is UNACCEPTABLE. The SERVICE is UNACCEPTABLE. Their CEO office should be ashamed of themselves! So I WILL NEVER BUY A KITCHENAID APPLIANCE AGAIN!

Spent thousands expecting we were supporting American jobs and expected American high quality - first induction stovetop didn't work after 2 days, returned for another one, the second had 2 burners not working after 2 weeks. Dishwasher stopped working after 2 years. My kids looked at the interior dishwasher and saw "made in China parts". We need standards for the made in America sticker. I will never buy KitchenAid appliances again. Our relatives came at the holidays after we had the appliances for 2 months - saw us using our 2 coil electric burner cooktops on our countertop because our KitchenAid induction had only 2 burners working. They asked how much we paid for the non-working cooktop. KitchenAid stands by their mixers but not their appliances. We are going to scrap items and buy scratch and dent if another make. Some executive is getting rich after selling poor quality products at KitchenAid. People say their products are made to last a year under warranty coverage. Never again will I buy KitchenAid!

We purchased a 30" 5 Burner Gas Cooktop (Model KCGS350ESS) in September 2021. We cook often and use the cooktop for its intended use. Recently we have noticed the burner caps becoming discolored. And this week, began noticing the black writing indicating the burner intensity and the KitchenAid log is chipping off. We keep the unit clean, and use care when we are using it.
I called KitchenAid and mentioned my concern. Was told by "Tay" that there is nothing KitchenAid will do because it is older than 30 days. We have NUMEROUS (2 stand mixers, knives, kettle, toaster) other KitchenAid appliances but if this is what happens with their products, we will definitely be looking elsewhere moving forward. I am emailing this review to KitchenAid. Their overall star rating is 1.6 out of 5 - I never knew their products got this poor of a review - we should have looked elsewhere before buying this. I would recommend everyone shop around - KitchenAid clearly isn't the name it used to be, and their customer service matches that poor quality.

Worst service ever!

I bought a kitchen aid dishwasher 4 months ago. It's stopped working right after one month. I called customer support and warranty, they said that they don't have any availability until next month. We waited patiently and the services guy showed up finally after one month.
He took a peak at the dishwasher for 3 minutes and claimed that the motor has stopped working. He said that he does not have an extra motor and he needs to order one. He claimed that the motor would arrive by next week and he could come and install it.
It has been 2 months now and the guy never shows up! We are calling and calling the customer support and there is no response. After a long wait time the call
Disconnects.
I would never ever recommend kitchen products to anyone ever! They have the worst customer service and they have no empathy for their customers!
I am disappointed because I over paid for this kitchen aid dishwasher.
The worst company ever people! Never ever waste your money on such cheap and low quality and off course useless products!

I made a mistake in purchasing two top of the line "panel ready" Kitchen Aid dishwashers when building my own custom home. As builder of thousands of homes I have used whirlpool products but Kitchen Aid is a brand I would stay away from. After only four years of use, one of my dishwashers started leaking from the stainless steel tub and nearly caused thousands of dollars of damage to my home. After a struggle, I finally got customer service to meet me halfway on the purchase of a new dishwasher. The replacement dishwasher, model K-DTM504EPA-2 was installed in May of 2020 and has been serviced three times, once every year, for a faulty door links mechanism. The certified Kitchen Aid repair company who installed it came out for a fourth time and said there is nothing they can do and said the door links mechanism will continue to break and said the dishwasher will need to be replaced. When I called Kitchen Aid, they would not offer any help other than to set up another repair at my expense. DO NOT BUY KITCHEN AID BECAUSE THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THIER PRODUCTS!

Last year I bought a KitchenAid french door refrigerator. The fridge itself seemed to be well designed and I was impressed with its features. Recently, after the 12 month warranty expired, I noticed that ice cream stored in the freezer was soft. I placed a thermometer in the freezer and found that the temperatures ranged from -10C to -13C (14F to 9F). This is much higher than the -18C (0F) set point that I chose. It seems that there is a serious problem with the freezer or the thermostat. The appliance repair technician was unable to fix the problem with the first call. I had to reschedule a second appointment where Whirlpool/KitchenAid gave me a service window for the afternoon. Unfortunately the appliance repair man called me in the morning to say that he would be coming in a half hour. I was out of the house at the time expecting him to arrive within the agreed-upon window. As a result I now have to wait for a third service call to fix the fridge. Given my experience with them, I would never recommend a Whirlpool/KitchenAid appliance to anyone. I still don't know if they will actually fix the problem or give me another excuse. Stay tuned.
