Customer service is poor! Wait Times are long! Representatives are foriegn! Their English is less than adequate! The web site works occasionally= sales is fine, everything else is poor!
Beware prices are less if you do web searches on similar to exact same merchandise= often LESS! Much less!
While I like their merchandise, I am very upset that shipping is always late and merchandise often arrives broken due to poor packaging. But worse, I learned this week that their auction site isn't what it should be. I bid on an item on two different days. One bid was higher than the other. I was then sent a letter that they "ran out of inventory" and couldn't fill the purchase for the item with the lower bid, even though that was the before the higher bid. In short, they ran out in reverse order... more like dollor order.
I bought an $800 moissanite ring with platineve metal. The shank broke, and I was told they might not be able to fix it. I was told I should have bought the two year warranty. Really? Don't buy from them.
I called in one night to place an order for a gift. That person said she didn't want it so I called back the next morning to cancel. They "claimed" it was too late to cancel even though nothing shipped yet. 6 days later, finally they charged my card. I called in and asked why are they charging my card when they claimed it was too late. It still hadn't shipped out yet. They try to force it on you! So make sure you are not going to try to cancel because they won't let you! That is SKETCHY business! I have nothing to show proof because it hasn't SHIPPED YET!

I've bought from JTV over the past 3 years and my experience has been almost perfect except for a ring with many small diamonds. One of them fell out after only wearing 1 week. Even so, I gave them another chance. Saw a presentation for a 10k gold ladybug pendant encrusted with tiny diamonds. I had to have it! It looks as good as 14k but more durable. Now I prefer 10k plus it costs less. When I view their products I trust JTV to give precise weights and a gem treatment disclosure. I had a bad experience with another shopping channel that over stated the gram weight on a neck chain. It weighed half than what they put in the description. Anyway, I think buyers should know JTV's real gold jewelry deserves more positive reviews.

Ordered a silver chain broke the 4th time I wore it. Figured no big deal wasn't that expensive. I was going to try some higher quality diamond earrings. But say gold. Then they have that Rhodium in them. Cheap stuff that will turn you green. Can not wear costume jewerly can wear stearling for short periods at a time

I twice ordered items and paid in full ( not "stretchpay). I thought it would be fun regardless of the quality. Twice after the shipment date and receipt of an email alleging the item was shipped, credit card authorized for over 4 days, they cancelled. Why? The lovely rep tonite says because having a shipping address is too high a risk. I was orderi g a $50 item and had paid in full. I dont know their true motives but if they cant trust a retired attorney with two homes I am not trusting that it would have been genuine silver for $50! No more TV junk jewelry for me!
I bought a diamond bracelet which fell off 4 times due to product defectiveness. I called in and they said to send it back and they will exchange it free of charge. I sent it back certified and they call 3 weeks later and tell me the bracelet was not in the envelope and just the exchange form. I said that i have not received the certified receipt back so i don't know that you even received it. JTV said that i had to go to the post office and fill out a report and they will not send me another bracelet or credit my account. After spending thousands of dollars with them over the years and they want to treat a preferred customer like this? Over a 80.00 bracelet? I'm done with them and I will see them in small claims court. Hope they enjoy spending 4 times that in attorneys fees to defend it in Missouri from Tennessee. I closed my credit card and will never ever do business with them again! I rate them 0 and nothing above!

I purchased several red labradorite stones that turned out to be heated several years ago and when i sent them back for a refund they never gave me a refund or my money back. They owe me thousands in refunds and they have my stones. They are crooks!

The negative reviews here shock me! I collect large diamond gold jewelry and I have never been disappointed in a JTV purchase. The pictures, videos, and descriptions are accurate; the prices are great; the service is excellent; and shipping is fast and safe I have never had to return anything and I've been a customer for years. In late 2015 i ordered 2 bella eterity bands for my mother the 2nd time she wore them a stone fell out of 1 of them i contacted them and they told me to send it back as defective and i did and asked to have it replaced they credited my card so i reordered 1 to replace it now after a few months another set has fallen out they tell me they can not do anything because its past the 30 day limit and i didn't buy the warrenty being defective doesn't mater to them and their reps are ther to help them make big money at your expense as they say their stones are set and handled by their own people then why are their rings stamped inside for china thailand etc i will never buy from them again
By the time your host stop talking and get around to the item and it's price I've switched stations. They ya with each other waaaayyyyyy too much. Probaly would buy some items but get tired of waiting fir the people to shut up and get item price out

My fiancé ordered a ring as a gift to me and had it shipped to my home. Turns out, JTV will only ship to the billing address. But the site doesn't say that. The order was placed and the money taken out of his account. They didn't send him a message to inform him or try and contact him- so we were shocked when only the box arrived. Now there will be another delay as the ring has to be shipped to my man- and then he will have to repackage it and ship it again to me. Make your policies clear when ordering. We will not be using this site again.

I purchased a nice ring that had multi stones and was gold, The center stone fell out, so I had a jeweler put in a better stone. Then the side stones started falling out. I sent it in for repair. They wanted $45 for the repair. I asked them what they were going to repair and they said they were going to check the mounting on the center stone, and clean the ring. For $45 and not even replace the side stone? Then they decided that since a jeweler had replaced the center stone they would not work on the ring, What gets me is that I called and explained what I wanted done and they told me to send it in. Waste of time and postage. So now not even knowing what they did, they are sending it back to me.
I've have had stones fall out of rings and bracelets -- It's basic junk -- if you do decide to purchase, purchase the extra insurance and then wear the jewelry everyday until the stones fall out and then if it's under 2 years they may fix it. (read the fine print on that warranty)

I purchased the ring three years ago. It had a warranty. I sent it back to replace the stone that fell out before the warranty was over. Sent it back a year later but the ring band had turned dark. I sent it back hoping they could or would be able to make it look better. They called and replacing the stone was resonsible but would not guarantee the out come of the band. I could not see spending more money on a CHEAP RING!

I purchased a ring and returned it to JTV. My tracking no. Shows they received the item, however, according to customer service they tell me they did not receive it.
I have jumped through hoops to provide them the documentation they requested. I spoke with USPS and they gave me a firm no. To give to JTV. It is a number that USPS provides to JTV on a daily basis that shows the items that have been delivered to them. Seems JTV will not crosscheck it to verify delivery.
I received an email today saying they will not refund my $2000 because they do not have the item, even when my tracking no. Shoes they received it.
They want me to file a claim with USPS and do their work for the.!
Will never byy from them again!

Answer: As a longtime shopper, I can vouch that the gemstones are real. If it's a lab-created version of more expensive gems (i. E. Lab Emerald, Lab Ruby, CZ, etc), the title & description will reflect that. Although quality control is hit & miss, I've tested/appraised hundreds of stones from JTV & haven't had any issues with authenticity. Their treatment disclosures are pretty good for the industry. Might I suggest perusing eBay, too? Lots of resalers (like me) can offer better prices on legit stones & jewelry... plus you get the benefit of knowing your seller has already checked for cracks, chips, etc. To be safe, only buy from US sellers & ask questions to ensure they can respond with some knowledge about their goods. Answer: I have several pieces of Moissanite set in Platineve and have not had any problems. I've had some of my pieces for a few years and am happy with the way they have held up. Moissanite is more expensive than CZ's and I wouldn't expect anything less from Charles & Colvard to set these stones in to. Hope this helps!
