I am a Canadian customer. This company normally sends out their Canadian orders via UPS... bad idea as UPS charges exorbitant custom brokerage fees. The default shipping service should be the USpostal service as they don't charge custom brokerage fees. Terry, the customer service supervisor is aware of this problem but doesn't see fit to use the postal service as the default shipping method for Canadian customers. When I tried to bring this problem to the attention of the customer service representatives, they couldn't care less. They wouldn't even agree that it was a problem. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years... no longer. This company is going down the tubes

When placing an order, customers have the option to choose your preferred shipping method, either USPS or UPS. At this time, USPS does have longer delivery times. UPS on avgerage takes 2-4 days to deliver once it ships. USPS on avgerage takes 10-14 days to deliver once it ships. I ordered over $250 worth of parts in June. I used a gift certificate leaving a balance of about $3 to put on my credit card. A few days later I see that my credit card was charged $437! After a run around from customer service, I got my charge reversed. Then the parts came and the real fun started. One part was wrong so called customer service and shipped it back. They got the part and deducted $7.99 from the return. I called CS again and explained that they shipped me the wrong part and I shouldn't pay the $7.99. They agreed and send they would refund the whole amount. Next thing I know I get a gift card in the mail for the returned part but they deducted the shipping charge. I called CS again and they agreed to refund the shipping cost. 10 days went by and still no refund so I called again. Once again they said they would credit my VISA card. That was last week and I'm still waiting. Will NEVER buy from here again.
Ordered four items in June they received payment from PayPal the same day. All items said were in stock check status after a couple of weeks only one item in stock all others waiting on vendor. Wasted way to much time trying to call an email them total waste. Finally asked to cancel and credit my PayPal account 7/19/16. Now let's see if they do it.
I ordered a large helmet and I recieved a XXL. I returned the item which was easy but did not receive any notification of when they recieved it and when I would expect it to be shipped back with the correct size that I ordered. After contacting them they tell me they recieved it 4 days ago but it can take 3 to 5 days to process returns but he would expedite it for me. So 5 days go by and nothing I didn't even get a tracking number and I didn't even get an apology for their mistake in the first place. So I contact them again and they tell me well because of the holiday... um no I contacted you 5 days before 4th of July and was told this would be expedited and shipped. Oh well no it wasn't, and even after that I didn't get an apology. Then finally 3 days after that I get the helmet and luckily it was the right size! Helmet is great but customer service is no good.

Ordered a tire for my Harley, website said 3-5 days. After 5 days I called, they said it would take 11. After 16 days it was not even shipped. I asked for a supervisor, put on hold... no supervisor available. Asked what could they do, they said nothing. So I cancelled order and ordered it thru Amazon. DO NOT ORDER FROM J & P!
Ordered over $300 worth of parts. They charged us TWICE! Once when we ordered, and AGAIN when it shipped (it took over a week to even ship.) After being placed on hold for 20 minutes, finally reached someone to say that I would have to call my bank. I've never had any problems with being charged twice other than through this J&P Cycles. Still have yet to receive our items, and have the other charge credited back (which probably will not happen.) Had to call my bank and tell them to NOT let J&P Cycles withdraw any more money!. BE CAREFUL.
After several calls about a specific handlebar kit, I finally spent a large chunk of money on a new handler bar and extension kit. My bike is a daily driver, so I waited till the night before to dissemble handlebars. Next day kit arrived, and was wrong. It took me days to finally get someone on the phone. Only to be told I was wrong. Took almost an hour on the phone with a tech for them to finally realize they had indeed sent me the wrong kit. After long convo, he assured me they would immediately send out correct kit. A week goes by and no communication about new kit. I call in, and was told " Oh yea, its on back order"! It has been almost 2 months now, and I am still without my money or a new kit, with a bike still sitting in pieces.
I ordered slip on mufflers and a tail light, neither fit, returned them the day after receiving them. A week later I called customer service, they said that they had just received them and would send a credit to my credit card company it would take 3-4 days. Here it is a month later and I find that no credit ever went to my credit card company. I called JP cycles as soon as I got off the phone with my credit card company. Today JP cycles service rep said that they had issued a refund yesterday and it would take another 3-4 days before the refund would get to the credit card company. Its been a month! I will never do business with JP cycles again! Go to Dennis Kirk or Drag Specialties, these guys suck!
Ordered frt tire over 9 days ago (June 15) set on hold for 20 minutes finally got to customer service tried to cancel order but unfortunately they said no couldn't tell me when or if it would ever ship they get your money good luck getting your order will update everyday to see if I ever get it
I returned a part that had rust on it for replacement over a month ago. Because I misplaced my ups tracking # that I downloaded from j p they were of no help finding my return. I was told that it was probably a mess up on ups side. After I found my tracking # it was discovered that my return was accepted and signed for at j p over 3 1/2 weeks earlier. After I talked to a supervisor on a Saturday to let him know my displeasure he assured me that a new part would be pulled and shipped 1st thing Monday morning and that I was guaranteed to receive it by Wednesday. You can guess my disappointment and anger when I received an e-mail Tuesday saying that my part was shipped that day and not on Monday like was promised. Here we are Wednesday and no parts delivered. Another call to j p (at least my 5th or 6th one with 20 minute waits each time) and blah blah blah is all that i'm hearing from the supervisor. Never once was I asked what could be done to make this up to me.my bike has been sitting idle for over a month while our short riding season dwindles away. Thank you so much j p cycle. My advice is to spend your hard earned money elsewhere. I just hope that when I do receive my part that it is o. K. and doesn't need returned.
Like most others whom have dealt with these scam artists I too experienced lies, lack of caring, absolutely NO customer service, hours on hold to talk to a Rep. Only to get a minimum wage employee with an answer sheet. Found out my order was still in "Picking" for 8 days with No answer as to when it might ship. After not getting through to customer service I called to place an order on same item, was told it was In Stock & would ship in 1 business day whereupon I informed them I had already ordered said item and it was still "IN Picking" after 8 days. Woops employee then stated mass orders at this time and they were unable to keep up,,,,,, whoa there trigger... you just told me it would ship in 1 business day.
Worst company i've ever delt with! They get you to pay for next day shipping but wait 10 days or more to ship it. They say it has to go through processing first which takes around 5-10 days! There customer service is a JOKE takes 10 min. On hold if your lucky!
If you return an item you never hear from it or your money again! I talked to customer service and ask if i could cancel my order and get refunded, there answer was that i would have to ship the items back! When i told them that they had never shipped them to me THEY LAUGHED AND HUNG UP ON ME!

Weeks later remaining item status still reads "In Process" and magically the invoice says that the item is not returnable, no mention of that prior to purchase. Returned the item I did receive following their exact procedure, it fell into a blackhole. Multiple emails to Customer Service regarding both the return and the item that has yet to ship with no response, 24-48 response promises are a joke. Tried online chat with CS rep multiple times with response. Finally got someone today and they were of absolutely no help, nothing they could do about anything and didn't even try. A decent rep would be concerned about their customer and at least try to contact Returns and Outgoing to see if anything could be done. "Willy" didn't care and typed "i need to go" and ended the chat session. Take your business elsewhere, they don't care about you! Perhaps they will reply to this with the same bogus response they've been giving to the other poor reviews saying they care and that I should call them... J&P, can't you see people want real action? Fact is, someone in charge needs to be bounced and your system needs serious revamping."
Ordered on 5/21, I have sent 3 emails, none of which have been responded to, have tried live chat... none of which were answered. All I want to do is cancel my order. It is obvious that this item is out of stock!... So now they can deal with the chargeback from my credit card company... You take money for a product, and don't deliver or communicate? I call that a crime!

Why bother paying for next day air when they don't get around to shipping it for a few days..."in stock" "will arrive tomorrow, if you order before XX: xx" It's fraud, and the MAG Group needs to do some serious housecleaning at J&P cycles.
Try calling them to check on the status of a shipment. Since they didn't email a shipping status for something as small as a horn, I called them and was placed on hold for approximately 20 minutes. When their rep finally answered I was told, "We're waiting on the vendor." Really? After one week?! If they don't keep something as small as a horn in stock, good luck getting other parts delivered within a reasonable timeframe.

I had problems with these semi-capitalist years ago. (Old Owner?). I absentmindedly placed an order for a single (in stock?) tire and when I realized that they hadn't shipped the following day, I placed my first call. I held for 23 mins and "was disconnected after 30 seconds with somebody named John"?
My chat was never answered. The only connection that I could complete was the "New Order Line" and even they hung up after my first question?

May 20th called them again to check and still it was not processed, i was told that he would take care of it... so now today may 28th i received an email saying that it was processed and $0 dollars are credited because of restocking fees... so i pay $49.99+tax for the helmet and $7.99 for the returned label and the rest for restocking... so now i have to call my credit card company to fix this..."

The current lead time is listed at about 8-10 business days to receive the item. As for the material, I do believe that it is a synthetic leather material but I cant find a direct answer to that on Cobra's site so I am not 100% sure.
