I have been using Jauce for about 5 years now and find them helpful, trustworthy, and they take care of my goods.
The pieces I buy through Jauce are generally very fragile, as shown in the attached photo. When I ask for things to be sent they are packed sent within a few days, and have always arrived safely.
The packing is amazing. So much care taken, and even weirdly shaped and very fragile things arrive here undamaged. I can't rate the packing highly enough.
I've always found Jauce honest and helpful, and am happy to pay for their exemplary service.
I have used Jauce for a number of years for purchasing things from Japan and they have never once let me down. The overall experience is always fantastic and I cannot fault it at all. A++++ every time.
BEWARE!
How this company is able to trade legally is astounding.
You will...
- Be mislead.
- Discover the hidden charges that lurk behind every single transaction. Be it: depositing money, charges on bidding for items, charges for winning items, processing and anything else they can stitch you up with before the monstrous hidden import charges.
- You WILL pay 3 x what your final winning price for an item is. Win an auction for 10,000 Yen - You'll pay 30,000 with these charges.
- Have the worst customer service imaginable.
- Rather than attempt to correct an issue, they will STEAL money from you. As it stands after having an issue with this company and trying to sort it out amicably and fairly, they closed my account with 15,000 Yen in it. It's theft.
I'm escalating my case with them. Do yourselves a favour and DO NOT USE this company.
I have won bids in the past and obtained good,,if expensive, service. On this occasion I won the bidding for a knitting machine Brother 970, which is an electronic knitting machine. What I received is not electronic, and did not have any electronic parts with it, what I received is as the photo, but never having owned one, I did not know this photo was not of the correct machine. I was unable to,contact the seller within the stipulated 30 days, and still have not been able to. What I received is useless. What a waste of money.
What a rip-off. Be warned. This is not all Jauce's fault, but a failure of the seller. Unfortunately the photos of what I received and what the electronic model 970 looks like will not load.
I would have preferred Jauce to tell me the extent of the fees before i purchased. It was very frustrating having to deposit cash at least three times before my items were to be shipped. It cost me money in deposit fees and it cost me my time. In the end I spent more money on my item than I would have just buying it directly from a seller in Japan.
The range and quality of goods is very high, unfortunate that the fee's are also much higher than other similar sites. The packaging of non-breakable goods is excessive as far as volume. A piece of metal not much larger than a coin will be sent packed in a 30cm square box- - too much waste.
As a service they are fantastic, but I've only just now noticed the charges on my invoices for the goods, and shipping, and then other which is their charges for the packing and storage. My last order was 9500jpy approx. Goods and 9628jpy Shipping but the other was 9231jpy which at the moment is close to £51? On top of the shipping itself which was over £50 it can cost a lot more than I thought so please bare this in mind when buying. Not only that if it gets shipped by DHL they just invoiced me for £49 import duty on £50 worth of goods, this is not Juace fault but in their invoice, I feel it should just be for the value of goods only not the whole charge. For service, you can't fault the excellent way they pack your goods but for me, this will be my last order from Japan as it cost way more than expected.
Although it can be quite expensive to post to the UK you can't say they don't take great care when posting your items. Every item has been wrapped and protected to make sure it arrives in A1 condition. Wish some UK companies would follow the care that these guys do, very happy
I got respond very quickly and well explain. All the items was wrapped carefully in a huge box.
Too many fees and tax add up from 25-30% on top of the auction but it worth the buy.
I am quite satisfy with Jauce
A little expensive but worth it as the selection is the best on this site. I have tried other sites and it seems key words do not get the results jauce does. My only complaint would be the translations are not that great but if you look at enough items you can usually figure out what things mean. I will be using this site for now on a strong 4 stars!
Been a patron since 2016, Its my go to store in purchasing items directly from Japan, items are properly packed and secured and you can chose to have it insured. They also deliver it accurately and never got any trouble shipping to my location. Keep up the good work!
I have been a customer of Jauce for over 4 years and have never experienced a problem. All prints whether shipped flat or framed with glass have arrived with no damage. Their packaging and shipping is superb!

I like that I can find products unavailable in the US for better prices. Shipping is fast, packaging is careful. Sometimes the items are not new as they were described by the sellers (slightly used), which is not Jauce's fault. Most sellers are reliable, but there are always some dishonest sellers online. My experiences with Jauce were always positive, also when they bought something on my behalf from the other stores. You just need to be careful with the private sellers and to double check what you are buying (which I am lazy to do) because returns are not possible.
I really wish I could report that my experiences with JAUCE have improved. They haven't. Still lame. Still surprise fees (The latest was a surprise 'domestic' shipping charge that was 8 times! What I paid for the item... and was hidden from me when bidding BTW. Of course, JAUCE Customer Service is again, simply non-existent for the buyer. Very poor experience. My recommendation? Make sure you know precisely the Domestic Shipping charges BEFORE bidding on any item. You have to look after your own interests... DO NOT expect JAUCE to help.
Item was packaged well and I was treated with utmost care. The website itself is very easy to navigate and I enjoyed how my items were shipped out quickly while also being packaged safely to prevent any sort of damage.
The site has some issues as it relates to auto logging in and the Facebook integration is broken. The search function needs some work as it hard to find things, can't use strings and doesn't find particular words. Searching previously ended auctions would be nice as well. But other than that pretty easy to use and I received all my items as expected.
Recently I bought from Jauce 3 items and finally got the package at home today.
After all the taxes from the website I ended paying the triple of the original price of the items and ended up paying taxes to customs as well.
If all of this wasnt enough today when opening the package I saw that the 3 items weight in total 600 and something grams and the package had 1,2kilo.
I paid DOUBLE of shipping price for empty space on my package.
Terrible website, it's like they are messing with our faces.
Last time using this.
I have done 2 big orders of items through Jauce to the usa and both times the items were packed so well it's almost like an art. The way they package and arrange the items into the box is with the utmost care and consideration for any fragile item. I highly recommend their services.
My item arrived broken. The processing time for the refund was long, but finally the insurance was paid by JP and Jauce credited me for the shipping and other fees associated with this item.
Despite the delay, I am very happy with the outcome and subsequent excellent level of service.
Jauce is the best yahoo Japan service I've ever experienced, the packaging is amazing for collectibles! You get to pay the imports before it's even shipped!
They are very misleading and charge a LOT for their unnecessary services. They will not help you with importing at all, and will actually encourage you to bulk ship which ends up costing you. Find your goods elsewhere! I bought a used item from them and by the time it got here, cost me hundreds more than had I bought it new. They were rude, and completely unhelpful throughout the whole process. They charged several hundred dollars just for their own service, which was nothing the seller couldn't do, like on eBay.
Answer: If you check on their site, you're aware of their fees.
Answer: I think that the best way is to look at prices from Ebay, Discogs etc and then compare them with this alternative...
Answer: From a tip that a friend gave me, and that after he found some really rare Japan CD's.
Answer: Fee is for the shipping cost from the seller to the Jauce.com warehouse. Then you have to pay additional shipping fee from their japanese warehouse to your doorstep wherever you live!
Answer: You pay a shipping fee for each item to go the the warehouse in Japan. Then you pay a shipping fee to have it sent to you. There are many other fees, but only 2 shipping fees.
