This is our 2nd shipment handled by Jauce.com. However the first one including a delicate, and rather heavy, vintage turntable. In order to protect the motor bearings and the dust cover, we'd asked for the turntable platter and rubber mat to be packed under the turntable body. The dust cover had been packed separately (and well).
Yes there are handling fees and shipment thru EMS is (much) more expensive than by regular mail. However 1) Jauce.com is open about it (you may calculate an estimate in advance) and 2) we 'd like to pay a little extra to have our goods arrive in good shape. We'd had too many goods bought on eBay arrive with broken parts.
Will use your service again!
I have purchased a variety of very expensive, difficult to ship items and JAUCE handled it in the most professional way possible! Everything went flawlessly and I will continue being a customer.
I have made several purchases thru Jauce. The overall experience was satifactory through some improve areas I would like Jauce to consider:
When making particular bids where my deposit is not enough and needs to use Jauce credit amount and no matter how big or small the credits have been used, Jauce will raise reminder almost instantly asking for deposit even the credit amount being used is within the approved credit limit. Without doing that Jauce will refuse me to continue the bidding. This is an impolite attitude and Jauce has to understand that in most cases there were only a few minutes left before bids closing. Should I finish my deposit arrangement and get back to the bid, the bid may closed already. This needs to be changed.
Used exactly twice, and they lost the second item in Japan and didn't provide any reasonable way to recover it. I'm glad it wasn't extremely expensive. 50% rate of failure is absolutely terrible. I'd rather pay $700 and fly to Japan to ship things myself than use this service.
Bad idea
Bad idea. Unfortunately in my case Jauce made a huge mistake not sending the invoice correctly as required by DHL and that provoked a serial increase in legal taxes plus additional fees. To solve I have to hire a customs office and pay a lot of costs, what made 5x higher the total bill value. When I asked for help in customer service they deny to make any refunding option and as you are not in Japan, there is nothing you can do except pursue DHL locally to have part of your money back as they accepted the incorrect invoice. A lot of time wasted and also a lot of waste of money. I am still having issues to try to have at least part of my money back.
Please. Do not do it to yourself
Great platform, awesome packages and customer service!
Around 2 years buying from Jauce, Fast shipping to USA. Great and awesome packages. Extremely care with all my items! AAAAA+++++ company!
The service and shipping fees are a bit costly but still much better then purchasing from a lot of other online sites which charge even higher for shipping.
I think buyers have to realise that shipping isn't going to come cheap since it's shipping out from Asia to Europe and America. And the service fees are necessary since the proxy site has to pay it's staff and other overheads.
Overall, good proxy site with great customer service.
There are too many hidden costs, a purchase of 1000 yen will end to cost you 5000! I would like to know why Jauce hides the real extent of all the the fees before you make a purchase and you can't cancel it anymore. It was very disappointing having to make a deposit at least three times before my items were to be shipped. You pay pay pay but they have never enough! Very disappointing first time. I won't deal with the anymore. I always thought Japanese people are very honest and correct, "thanks" to jaune, my opinion is quite different now.
I was really satisfied with my first shipping from Japan. The postage was quite fast and the items were very well packed. No damage or anything, One thing would be great if the weight of the items would also be listed to get a right calculation! Great Job over there! Thumbs up! Thx. Again!
The perfect service! All the charges were clear, translation was great and the packaging was so well wrapped with incredible neatness. It was a joy just to open the box. This is my go to site for auctions in Japan!
This website is one of few excellent alternatives to make purchases overseas, but be aware that there's some specific fees that you need to be well known about such as loca, bank, and other fees of purchase and then shipping.
Also, since Taxes are getting EVERYWHERE, doesn't mean any stop to purchases.
Always helpful, giga-faster, and super reliable. Hope to keep doing business with them.
I do not understand the delay. Poor communication. I was informed my purchase item arrived in 5 Aug. I immediately ordered a shipment paid and deposited by PayPal. Now August 15, no news, no email, no status, nothing to inform of there was a delay. The only thing is "shipment processing" in the status of item page. This is ridiculous. Jauce charges a lot of extra for the services, I expected better service. I am a prompt payer. EBay USA was always reliable and others. This is my first and last time. I had paid almost USD500 in total for a pair of running shoes I expect it to come quick. Caution everyone who wants to try this.
Hello, I still don't get it, that you want to buy abroad like japan that's way far from yours. ( no pun intended)
There are things that you can't find it ( your stuff locally.). You'll find it in japan. But when you do find it, it's a jewel. Get ready to pay to lumpsum of money, you're lucky you found it. But you will be slap with import tax, if its heavy / electronics/ automotive. The freight is costly. Be prepare to pay. It will cost a leg and an arm. Just you to know. Don't be naive. It may ended up double the cost, once it reach your door.
Don't buy, don't look, dont' ever peek at jauce.com. If you're not ready to shell out your hard earned money. Because, it's like gambling, your mind will be drawn every time you're in your PC or laptop. Don't PEEK! THERE. Hard to find stuff, it's there... you've been warned. It's cheap but expensive habit. You have no business there...
I saw a product and use the estimated delivery fee that they provided me in the website to calculate if it really worth it. Then I bought the product and ask a order to ship it to my country. Then it came a surprise. The item is prohibited and nobody told me anything about it. Now, they say that the deliver fee is 7 times the one they gave me before! Yes, just to you have an idea, the delivery fee is 5 times the products I've bought. Note that it can be done with virtually any product that you buy, since it is only a estimator, and they could argue that even if the item is not prohibited the delivery method that you saw before is not available anymore for any reason. And then, you have already payed for the item and have to decide: throw then away or pay much more to have them.
Don't take the risk!
I purchased off the auctions with no issues.
No issues with shipping etc.
The package arrived tp my house and has visible damage/tears/breaks in blue cabling.
I Inspected the package closer and noticed that where the damage/tears had occurred to this package, one of the wheels also had considerable damage to a lip.
This damage was not present during the auction period/auction photos.
The wheels in question have a polished lip, which may cost me a considerable amount of money to fix.
To say im frustrated and disappointed is an understatement.
Once again, the quality of Jauce packing and shipping team is second to none. After shipping with Jauce for over 5 years, there has only been one or two shipping issues. I've had shipped hundreds of items with Jauce
When placing orders from the UK in Japan, its always good to know that the items will arrive safe and sound in good export type packaging and the team at Jauce.com always do a fantastic job
I have had a lots of items over the past couple of years and regardless of size or shape they always get it right
Order with confidence
I recently made a few purchases from Jauce.com, I requested them to combine shipping, they acknowledged it and confirmed it by email. However they did not combine ship and decided to charge me the extra shipping fee. In addition when I queried the issue, they decided to close my account, despite the fact that there was a balance sitting in my account. I am now in a dispute with them through paypal.
Once you have deposited funds into your jauce.com account there is a chance that you may lose all your deposit.
You have been warned. Stay away.
I have used this service a number of times and each time have not been disappointed. Communication is very good, the quality of the packing is also first rate with a very goof attention to detail.
Highly recommended.
I've used Jauce as far back as 2012 and the consistency with quality packaging and quick shipping has been top notch.
Even in the pandemic shipping slowdown they were super helpful.
Answer: If you check on their site, you're aware of their fees.
Answer: I think that the best way is to look at prices from Ebay, Discogs etc and then compare them with this alternative...
Answer: From a tip that a friend gave me, and that after he found some really rare Japan CD's.
Answer: Fee is for the shipping cost from the seller to the Jauce.com warehouse. Then you have to pay additional shipping fee from their japanese warehouse to your doorstep wherever you live!
Answer: You pay a shipping fee for each item to go the the warehouse in Japan. Then you pay a shipping fee to have it sent to you. There are many other fees, but only 2 shipping fees.
