I would have preferred Jauce to tell me the extent of the fees before i purchased. It was very frustrating having to deposit cash at least three times before my items were to be shipped. It cost me money in deposit fees and it cost me my time. In the end I spent more money on my item than I would have just buying it directly from a seller in Japan.
I was happy to receive the component in good condition. The packing was excessive for the component, specifically the size of the box the item was shipped inside. The box could have easily been half the size it was shipped in with sufficient packing to ensure the item was not damaged in shipment. The size of the box, increased the shipping weight and cost significantly. A 11 X 12 X 6 box would have been sufficient to ship the item. The 21 X 16 X 11 box was excessively large, and directly affected the shipping cost.
I know Jauce.com many years now and never had trobules with this guys. Doesn't matter if i bhought a wooden box with whisky bottles inside or a vcr recorder, everything arrived in perfect shape.
Thank you very much
So far I have used Jauce on two seperate occasions to purchase used motorcycle parts. I am UK based and some rarer items can be found on the Japanese auction sites more easily than the UK or Europe.
Both times I have used the service, it has worked seemlessly.
Very easy transactions, with excellent packing and shipping. But, be aware, anything you buy via this option will cost at least twice, to three times as much by the time it gets to you.
This down to currency charges, Jauce handling charges, shipping charges and, if the igoods value is in excess of £135 (I believe that is correct) you will recieve a customs payment request. Which you have to pay before it can be delivered.
So, overall, a very good service - but can get expensive quite quickly.
The Jauce service is exceptional, they are informative and very helpful, and alway eager to assist with questions or assistance. I've tried others, none are even close to the Jauce service. It simply could not be any better. Thank you! A+++++
I've been using Jauce for a few years now.
Typically the items I buy are fairly delicate and require careful handling.
Jauce have always packaged my items perfectly with the upmost care. I could never fault them for that.
Shipping estimates have always been realistic too with items turning up when they said they would.
Thank you very much for the great service, in sending the Z-Dry guitar pickups I ordered. The communication throughout the process was outstanding, and reassuring, as I never ordered anything from Japan before. The packing was excellent and it arrived in perfect condition on Wednesday, January 4th. Please pass this on to the person who sold me the pickups as well. I have been searching for these pickups for a long time, and I really appreciate the fast service and the ability to obtain them at a fair price. I want him to know that these special pickups, by Jun Takano will be used and treasured, in the spirit they were made, to obtain the best guitar tone possible and to always keep an ear open for what is possible.
Thank you very much,
Michael Vaidic
It is not cheap, but it is the only practical way I have found to buy on Japan Yahoo auctions and form Japan Amazon sellers who do not ship abroad. My experience with their re-packaging and their service in general is excellent.
These guys are so professional, respond quickly to questions and items are packed to perfection. They are the best out there. The items I get from Japan are like new hard to call items used. A+++All day long.
I was initially quite wary of the system. But if you follow the prompts and read the notes its dead easy... I am very happy with my Purchase. And with the packing and delivery. Thank you Jauce-san!
The Jauce integration with Yahoo Japan auctions is excellent and allows sniper bidding. The process of bidding, winning, paying, and shipping is easy. The shipping is fast and the packing is excellent. Someone complained that there are hidden costs but all of the costs are clearly spelled out on the Jauce website. I will use Jauce again!
From the time i win the auction to the time it arrives at my door The Jauce Team are with me the whole way. Their communication is excellent and their packaging is Flawless and much care is administered. Not an issue during the past 2 years dealing with them.
The range and quality of goods is very high, unfortunate that the fee's are also much higher than other similar sites. The packaging of non-breakable goods is excessive as far as volume. A piece of metal not much larger than a coin will be sent packed in a 30cm square box- - too much waste.
Received items, fast shipping. Really helpful when I didn't understand the site!. I would totally keep buying from in the future. Great service. I would recommend. Thanks again!. TYSM!... Much appreciated...
This is another platform you can purchase JDM items not available in your country. JAUCE is good for you only if you get items that are cheaper than what you pay for back home, likely used items or those that are on really good offer and getting in bulk to ship together. Reason being that JAUCE charges you fees prior to your purchase followed by bank fees, etc which adds up, their shipping fees aren't exactly low also. Its how their office works to sustain this business which is not wrong so that is why my reason stated as above to make it beneficial for you.
The website is very easy to use. After I won my auction, I received my package very quickly. I live in New York, and it takes longer for me to receive packages that are the next state over. Very happy with the whole situation. This is the 2nd purchase I have made from this website, and I will continue to keep using it.
This platform is very hard for beginner user and a slow website when doing the auction, and I live sendico or buyee better! This platform sucks! In the end, I lost my ******* yen worth of money due to accidentally pressed button due to the slow website loads
All of the promises are kept! They make it easy to shop in Japan and provide a fantastic shipping service!
I am very pleased with my first purchase from this company! A+++
Normally no issues with Jauce, however, I collect Japanese guitars and they have on occasion put 2 guitars in a mega sized box. This is awkward for lifting and also it takes lots longer in customs as the total value means more time at the clearance depot
So Jauce, pleaeeeeassse DO NoT Double up!
Cheers
You decided to ship the 2 (two) 7'' vinyl records (17x17) that i had ordered by using a huge box, that would normally contain 2 or 3... 12'' records (30x30). This, of course, increased SUCH the shipping cost for the packaging AS the amount that i was also later on charged by the Customs! This was obviously done on purpose and i honestly find it very hard to trust your webpage again for my future purchases.
Answer: If you check on their site, you're aware of their fees.
Answer: I think that the best way is to look at prices from Ebay, Discogs etc and then compare them with this alternative...
Answer: From a tip that a friend gave me, and that after he found some really rare Japan CD's.
Answer: Fee is for the shipping cost from the seller to the Jauce.com warehouse. Then you have to pay additional shipping fee from their japanese warehouse to your doorstep wherever you live!
Answer: You pay a shipping fee for each item to go the the warehouse in Japan. Then you pay a shipping fee to have it sent to you. There are many other fees, but only 2 shipping fees.
