We monitor reviews for authenticity
I've used jAlbum for a decade or so to manage my photo albums. It's worked well. I've used PSE 13 for a decade to catalog, edit, and format images and would love to be able to use jAlbum to accomplish this step too. Recently, I upgraded 2 releases after obtaining an additional 25% discount in addition to the 30%. There was no real new features for what I do but I did notice a great improvement in the physical building and upload process. I really would pay additional money for an upgraded tool so I can replace my PSE 13 SW that is still working, but I fear will stop working some day in a future windows. I need robust file cateloging, tagging, and standard photo editing tools along with bulk conversion. I can only hope:-)
It's going well but I have lost data a couple of tine. It seems fast and I di like the direct FTP upload.
After apparently loosing data, I imported that which I have on my website into a new project and it was a real mess, thumbnails images in all folders.
I deleted everything and started again.
I will learn and improve then give you a more positive rating.
Please let us know more about the import issue. JAlbum should import published jAlbum galleries fine if you rely on File->Import. Just write us at support@jalbum.net and outline how you did the import.
Service and notifications are top notch. The software is easy to use and provides a lot of flexibility.

I was previously using a combination of hard coded HTML and a freeware album generator to develop my picture blog. Changes were very time consuming and managing upload locations to my hosting provider was very tedious. I stumbled upon jAlbum about 3 years ago and found it would make managing my site's content MUCH easier. It was a bit of a learning curve, but the community support was great and I was quickly able to 'migrate' my pages over and build my entire site. The features and capabilities are FAR beyond what a simple review can show. JAlbum is worth every penny!

My album can display reduced resolution images fine, but when I choose "link to hi-res images", I get a "file missing" error. Early versions of J-Album worked flawlessly. I wasted my money on this new version.
My settings are set to link the thumbnail images to the the hi-res images. When I click on the thumbnail, I get an image not found error. If I chose a setting to link to the reduced images, it works fine. The early version of jAbum never had this problem.
I have been a JAlbum client for many years now. It is easy to use at my level. They make upgrades regularly.
Whenever I have question they are quick to reply. It is easy to share albums with friends. I am a happy customer!

After using Jalbum for many years, I quit using it due to my web server going down. I migrated to a new environment and decided to upgrade to the latest Jalbum release. The install worked perfectly on an Ubuntu system and after reaching out to support for a question on parameeter settings, I received the correct answer that resolved my problem.

This is the best web album software I have ever seen. Easy to use, easy to change templates, easy to publish. Fits all types of needs from a simple photo album on your computer to a web album to a photographer's portfolio. Well worth the price!

I don't like the fact that that you can't store the completed video on a cd or as a file that you can share without having to upload it to your storage.
I'm sorry but that's false. You can produce video galleries using jAlbum that you can place and run straight from a CD/USB memory without involving our storage or any external storage. You DO need to ensure that you use a skin that's not relying on. Json files though. That's a browser restriction, and not something imposed by us. Use skins like Animatics, Lucid or Minimal, or most 3: rd party skins.
With this info, I hope you re-rate jAlbum. As it currently is, your rating lowers our average

I have been using jAlbum for several years now to maintain my persona family web site. Every year the software has gotten better, with frequent updates and fixes. As my website has grown larger over the years, jAlbum has continued to make it very easy to maintain and update it. Throughout the years, I have, not yet, experienced crashes and/or losses of ANY data! I highly recommend getting and using jAlbum.

I've been using jAlbum to create family related web galleries for over 10 years. The software is friendly, yet powerful, and has a multitude of skin choices for the visual presentation of those galleries. I tried several different gallery presentations before settling on jAlbum as my software of choice and found them not as powerful or lacking in visual presentation choices. JAlbum can create galleries as complex or simple as you need them to be. It checks all the relevant boxes...
