I signed up for free and they started sending me advertisements. As I was going through the advertisements I realized they posted an advert from the same company I currently work for and they were following up with me to pay $20 to apply for the position. The position in question was long removed form the company site. I contacted them and they asked me to send a link of the expired position so that they can give me a months subscription for free.
Not sure how I can get the link of the job which the company has removed some time back. Is there a time machine out there yet?
Upon reviewing my bank account transactions after not doing so for 6 months (a relatively dormant account - or so I thought), I saw that I was still being charged for the job search program. But, I had not used the job search for months. I called and was helped by a very nice service representative. Although he was not able to refund all the charges for the months I had not used the service, he did the best he could do by refunding 3 months of fees and was understanding and pathetic about my distress at having not checked my account regularly and letting this happen.
I called because I wanted to cancel my subscription because I found a job. I left a voice mail and within few minutes I received a call back.
I will get refunded for the portion of the not used subscription fee. The CSR was very polite
I had issues with the site when I first started using it. I couldn't login and wasn't too happy. I eventually found their phone number and called. I wasn't expecting much but I guess I came across a really helpful rep who not only helped me log-in, he also made sure I was using the service to it's fullest. That personal touch made a difference to me. More companies should do that.
I accidentaly bumped into ivyexec.com and I must admit I was sceptic at the beginning but everything turned out great at the end. The things I like the most are the free webinars. You can watch them on their website or on their youtube channel. They try to cover all relevant subjects for people like myself, looking for a job or trying to change careers. Other than that, their mentors are great! Give it a try!
I recently signed up on Ivy Exec to look for a senior manager / team lead job with a consulting firm in New York. Within 10 days of joining an Ivy Exec recruiters by the name of Kaye-Anne reached out to me with a position that was exactly what I was looking for.
She prepared me for the interview with some useful information. I made it to the final round, and although I didn't get the job, the Ivy Exec team was helpful every step of the way. I've recommended Ivy Exec to a few colleagues who are also looking to make a switch.
I missed my free trial cancellation date, but because I was w/in 7 days Kevin was kind enough to issue a refund. He reiterated that they send out email reminders prior to the cancel date, and this is true - to a point. It would be much more effective if the message was TITLED "Your Free Trial is about to expire", versus "Are You Making the Most of Your Free Trial?", with the cancellation reminder included at the bottom. Regardless, I do very much appreciate the courtesy of a refund.
Back in 2010 I used Ivy Exec to find my old position at Novell. Since then I moved to IBM, but now that I am back in job search mode I am using Ivy Exec again. I've had a number of interviews and I am hoping to get another job through their website soon. This service has worked for me!
My first bad review. I randomly checked my credit card statement today and found a $175 charge from them. Apparently when I signed up for the base subscription 6 months ago there was some fine print telling me I would be charged a regular fee at some point. I received no email or other notification that I was going to be charged or that I was getting moved from free to fee subscription and received no email or other notification that had been charged after the fact These are really shady business practices that I would expect from a scam artist trying to sell me magazines or somesuch not a legitimate job search site.
As for the content on the site - ALL of the jobs are already posted elsewhere on free sites, Indeed, Linked-In, etc, and MANY of the jobs on their site are out-of-date and seem to be there to make it look like they have a bunch of leads.
Nii Ato was very helpful in discussing my career prospects and my resume. In the very short duration of the call (15 mins), we could discuss a lot of relevant things.
1. He quickly identified the roadmap for the careers I may be opting for! He guided me towards the approach I should be following.
2. He quickly pointed the gaps in my resume; his suggestions were very apt that clearly improved the quality of my resume.
I strongly endorse Nii Ato for initial Resume / Career coaching services.

This place is run by a bunch of scammers. They told me the only way to join and see job ads is if I get verified via a credit card. OK, no problem there, but then the awful thing happens. They charge you $245 without telling you and without getting your consent.
Job leads? You can find better ones via GlassDoor and LinkedIn
There are numerous complaints about Ivy Execs unethical billing practices. Search Ivy Exec SCAM on Google and see for yourself.
People behind Ivy Exec should be sent to jail for this. Seriously. How the hell do they sleep at night knowing they are willingly scamming people out of money?
STAY AWAY AND WARN OTHERS!
I tried out this site a while ago when I still lived in the Bay Area. I was looking for finance jobs in San Francisco. At that point I didn't really find the site had that many openings at my level in the area so I canceled my membership. I tried it again a few months ago when I moved to NYC and a had much better selection of jobs. It's my hunch that they are focused more on the East Coast, at least in finance.
I called over a holiday weekend and left a message. They called back within 4 hours of the first business back from the holiday and handled my issue via voicemail and email. It was super easy and fast.
I just completed an intro call with my Career Advisor Nii-Ato. He was helpful and insightful. Gave me some tips onhow to improve my resume. He also gave me a link to a recorded webinar on resume writing which had good information as well. So far my experience with Ivy Exec has been great.
Reached out to Kevin for help with my account. Went his voicemail asked me to leave a message, I did, never expecting to get a call back. Not only did Kevin get right back to me, I missed his first call, had to call him again and he called me right back! He was great to work with and quickly addressed my concerns.
A great site for MBAs. I was invited to join the website and I wasn't sure how it would work out at first, but I really love it. Good mentoring, interesting webinars, and excellent customer service. If you're getting an MBA, IvyExec is the place for you!
I am not looking for a job right now but decided to attend two of their webinars. I wasn't expecting much but the presenters both times were great. I was able to use the advice I got in my current job. TIP: If you go to their blog and click on the Webinar Library, you'll see a lot of their previous webinar recordings for free.
Customer Service at IvyExec was responsive, direct, and efficient in their actions.
Within 24 hours of my initial e-mail, I had engaged in an exchange with two members of their Community Development Team, GR and KB. Both were courteous, respectful, and professional in their conduct and resolved my personal request promptly.
Based on my experience, I would highly recommend IvyExec's professional development offerings with a special nod towards their Customer Service/Community Development Team.

I attended a few of their webinars and I have to admit that I learned a lot. I like that the presenters provided a lot of good information that was actionable, and that they didn't do a lot of selling. I just hate webinars that are all about sales. I followed up afterwards with one of the presenters, and she responded really quickly.
The audio of the presenter sometimes cuts out which is a little annoying. I guess that's what you can expect from a live webinar.
Left a voicemail for customer support and received a callback within 90 minutes. Explained my situation and the representative was very courteous and accommodating. Issue now closed and I am a happy customer!
Answer: They want you to pay them and they do not know anything about what people have accomplished in their background. They know NOTHING about BANKING, FINANCE, REGULATORY COMPLIANCE, FEDERAL OR STATE LAWS AND RULES. THIS COMPANY IS COMPLETELY CLUELESS AND YET THEY WANT YOU TO PAY THEM TO FIND YOU A JOB AND THEN THEY WANT THE "Client" to pay them for finding you, what a bunch of bologna! To answer your question, you are spot on.
Answer: It's a scam to take your money. Run from them screaming!
