I recently had my resume reviewed by an IvyExec Career Advisor via phone. I have worked in Human Resources/Recruiting roles and have seen tons of good and bad resume examples. So, I was confident my resume was good, but there is always room for improvement. It was incredibly helpful to have an IvyExec resume expert provide honest feedback and evaluate how I can improve my resume to better communicate my story.
The Advisor was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and he showed genuine interest in where I wanted to take my career next. He provided specific suggestions on how to showcase my experiences and insights on the industry I wanted to shift my career to. In addition, he even offered to review my resume again after I made changes to make sure I was on the right track.
Overall, I had a fantastic experience with the resume critique and highly recommend this IvyExec service!
The things I found most helpful about ivyexec.com are their webinars. We need to adapt to new trends in business all the time. Everything from writing resumes to behaviour changes constantly, so I need to stay up-to-date. I usually get the information I need through those webinars and I consider them to be a "must watch" for every serious businessperson. I'm also thinking about having my own mentor and ivyexec has a lot of them so I won't have any problems in choosing one.
My friend told me about the site a while back after I got laid off from my previous job. The main benefit I got out of this site was that when I connected my LinkedIn account with it, I was able to see who in my network worked at the company that posted the job. I just reached out to my network and eventually found a job. I didn't use the site otherwise but I'm glad that in a way it helped me get a job.
I was interviewed about my experience with my gas grill. Everyone was great throughout the process and I really enjoyed the actual interview. Most importantly they didn't waste my time and kept to the subject. I would highly recommend them!
Their survey method is a good experience. They call you at a set time and you talk with a person answering their questions. This survey process is much easier and convenient than most.
I highly recommend participating.
I thought the researcher affiliated with Ivy Exec's market research team were very professional. I was happy to provide my insight on the subject under discussion. The only thing I can suggest is to possibly provide a little bit of info on the subject prior to having the phone discussion with the research rep.
When I had a question about a charge on my account, I called a number that eventually led to voice mail. My impatience caused me not to leave a message. Much to my surprise, the person on the other end called me back based on caller ID. He did not know the nature of my call but wanted to make sure I received the help I needed. Now that does not happen every day!
After finding them on the Inc 500 list I tried them out. I'm currently in LA but thinking about moving to NY. Sadly, they didn't have many high quality jobs in my field in LA, but when I checked their NYC postings there were more suitable jobs to pick from. So far I applied to 9 jobs and am count on that using them will pay off.
I define exceptional customer service as: what I received to day when I called and left a voicemail message before normal business hours. I received a phone call and a message from Kevin providing with a call back # or instructions on how to reach the support department online. That only exceeded my expectations for the customer service he continued to provided. Kevin continued to deliver above where the standards and level of service I thought I was going to receive as reasonably normal, but they were exceptional! Good Listening skills, patience and good understanding of my concerns. He demonstrate the ability to research the matter and correct the errors. I was extremely please with his ability to interact and keep the conversation positive well producing a positive solution to a negation situation. Great job!
This site is sketchy. I was looking through job opportunities on Phds.org and found one I liked. When I clicked apply for the job I was transferred to a marketing page for this site asking me to register before I could get any information about the job.
Excellent customer service to not only cancel my subscription without hassle, but also to reimburse me for the most recent charge, as I have obtained a new job starting 1/6/2016, and the charge to my Amex for your service was on 1/22/2016. I'm very grateful for the refund, and the customer service rep was courteous, friendly and very helpful. Thanks for your service!
I called Kevin to see why I could not get the application to open. He explained that the profile had to be accepted first. He said he would resubmit the profile, and that I should get an email in 24 to 48 hours. Overall it was quite pleasant.
I learned of Ivy Exec through my alumni network, and have been impressed with the high touch approach that Ivy Exec utilizes for professional development, connecting me with industry experts, as well as career advisors. I have attended a number of their webinars, and especially found their webinar on salary negotiation to be valuable.
My club in grad school was offering discount codes for this site a while back. I like that as an MBA student it was free while we were there. I canceled my premium account before graduation since I didn't need it, and never had any issues. I'm starting to use the website again for my new job search and I was pleasantly surprised to see all the new changes to the site since last time I logged in grad school. So overall, my experience with this website has been great.
Called to investigate a quarterly charge that was on a credit card. Was delighted to find out the charge could be stopped immediately and actually receive a partial credit for a service that is not needed.
The service exceeded my initial expectations!
I found the site after a friend of mine from business school mentioned it. I checked it out and after going to the site almost daily I was able to find a position at a bank in my city. It worked out for me.
I called to ask about upgrading my membership, but didn't leave a voicemail. Nevertheless, I received a follow up call. I spoke to Kevin M Ko who was very polite and helpful. There are a lot of job sites out there, but I will definitely recommend IvyExec to my friends!
My interface was very to the point and productive. In my conversation with Kevin I understood what was to be done with my resume, when I would get a call back and it included a 'Thank you' which I appreciate.
All in all the interface was very good.
The communication was open and the team was flexible as our needed changed. They were able to provide what we needed so we could close our study. Huge help!
I signed up for free and they started sending me advertisements. As I was going through the advertisements I realized they posted an advert from the same company I currently work for and they were following up with me to pay $20 to apply for the position. The position in question was long removed form the company site. I contacted them and they asked me to send a link of the expired position so that they can give me a months subscription for free.
Not sure how I can get the link of the job which the company has removed some time back. Is there a time machine out there yet?
Answer: They want you to pay them and they do not know anything about what people have accomplished in their background. They know NOTHING about BANKING, FINANCE, REGULATORY COMPLIANCE, FEDERAL OR STATE LAWS AND RULES. THIS COMPANY IS COMPLETELY CLUELESS AND YET THEY WANT YOU TO PAY THEM TO FIND YOU A JOB AND THEN THEY WANT THE "Client" to pay them for finding you, what a bunch of bologna! To answer your question, you are spot on.
Answer: It's a scam to take your money. Run from them screaming!
