I refuse to believe my tax paying dollars are being put in this slum. Called multple times, waited for an hour on hold and got hung up on. During the conversation, the lady was less than a minute of help to my situation with foul insinuations of an intelligence efficiency on my end. If there was an alternative service, I would take it in a heart beat. Unfortunately there isn't and all I can do is rant
I would like to express my gratitude to the employee of number#*******326. We worked on my problem for an hour. I was surprised by how much patience and attitude she had towards my questions. I thank her very much. The management of your office should set such employees as an example. Good job and attitude.
This has turned in to a one way street, we're suppose to jump through hoops endlessly and when it's time to get any benefits they find any and every way to leave us with the same issues for months and years at a time. Organized theft is all it's ever been.
I made a payment with a check and it was recorded as an electronic payment and I was charged a bank service fee. I have been on hold with the IRS for 3 hours, when someone answers they "transfer" me to another person only to be hung up on. They recorded my payment incorrectly and charged me for their mistake!
I have spent the last 2 HOURS on hold, holding for a 3rd HOUR. 1st Hour I got transferred & hung up on. 2nd Hour I got transferred to another line to hold for another HOUR. This is RIDICULOUS! All these operators do is transfer you around to play the hold game. This is so unprofessional, unacceptable & unAmerican. This is what our government has to offer? SAD! All I need is copies of W2's for a former employee of our business. Something so simple. Yet so complicated. WHY? Why would anyone have a business in the US in order to go through this. NOT WORTH IT!
How many employees do you have? Because when it benefits the IRS it's impossible to avoid them. But when the situation is in favor of the tax payer, it's as though trying to locate someone in the witness protection program. The phone systems tell you up front that they don't want to do anything to help people so they are not taking any calls. Or in their words "We are experiencing high call volume, please try your call later. " and then it hangs up on you. They can set all the rules for how things have to be done. Yet they don't have to follow any rules at all. Even though in FY 2022, the IRS used 79,070 full-time equivalent (FTE) positions. With those numbers you would think you could get someone on the phone. And why does it take SOOOOO long to get a refund? If you owe money and don't make an arrangement for payments, it's brimstone and fire. They owe you and it's, "Check back in 21 days" or "Its been sent so you will have to wait for the mail system.". Funny because it doesn't take any other mail 30 days to go from Pennsylvania to any place in the United States. So a new lie to tell people should be used from now on. And I feel like that with the amount of money exchanged back and forth, we should be on more of a personal basis. I have to go into one of your locations for hours of my life to be lost only to prove who I am. Makes me wonder why the hell don't you have to prove who you are to me? I'm supposed to just trust the process? Or is that only when you are owed money from me that trust is expected? But when you owe tax payers money one step away from a DNA test is needed. Seems hypocritical to me.
Called 12 times, each time went to automated response, just wouldn't answer the phone. Give all information to be told that you can't be helped. What a waste of tax dollars!
I was on hold for an hour and 10 minutes and they hung up on me. I submitted a form over 60 days ago and am supposed to have received the application status already in mail. The only way to find out the status is of course by calling and calling them is the worst experience ever. I called and was on hold for 48 minutes for someone to answer and tell me they had to transfer my call to another department, I asked is there a direct number to call the department for next time and she said no we always have to transfer you and I waited another 40 minutes for them to hang up on my call. Very unpleasant experience and I am upset like why do we pay taxes for it to be so difficult to send our forms by mail, have no fast way to check the status, very very non efficient. IRS should use the money we put towards paying taxes and fix their online website so there can be a live chat or services to see status of forms or receive much faster help, IRS is very out dated and un professional
You try calling to do the right thing no one knows what are you calling about you clearly give them enough information letter codes meaning number ect. And still they have no idea what are you calling about is insane really and in top of that you playing tag over the phone not for a day yes not a day but for months is incredible worse customer service I ever experience.
Called regarding an important question that our companies payroll provider received regarding tax refund. Held for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Finally a lady come on and I explained my question. She asked me to hold over and over for about 30 minutes. The next time they picked up I was disconnected. Horrible service.
We pay them all our money & in return we receive horrible customer service! I filed a amended return in late February. They did not mark received for processing until March. Okay, almost 20 weeks later and the only update they can provide is that it will take 4 more weeks to process. Lies & bulls***!
The irs has owes me money since February. I pay taxes I expect it back on time, it's July already. Last year was the same issue, but if we owe the IRS we have to pay by a date or pay fees along with it. America wake up this is BS! Why pay taxes if they treat us like $#*!. Everyone keeps bending over for the irs if we stick together and make a stand we can over power the whole system that is corrupt.
This site is complete garbage! Not user friendly at all and keeps directing me away from what im looking for and cant find any answers! Proves to me this is all set up for people fail and be confused. Something that should be a simple and click is just filled with miss directions and alternate garbage. Why can i not click what im looking for and get just that? Why is there so much other info that does not pertain to what ive searched? This need improvement asap! Or better yet have a phone numbver to talk to someone. As much money ad the government steals from the people, they can afford to hire and make this possible.
If you have to make payments it's so confusing. They will take money out of your bank but the balance you own never goes down you wondering where did they money goes who are you paying. When calling you ll be hold for hours and hours even you pick the option for them to call you back they ll called and still put you on. Get ready to have a irritating day when calling. I wonder if those people for irs are even human beings and how does tax work for them. Do they get a pass since they are working for irs? Been calling since 8.30 after a long wait phone got disconnected here I am ak now it's 12 pm
The IRS is the $#*!ing worst and they are a bunch of $#*!ing criminals who think they can verbally threaten to hold my checks cause THEY been sending letters to the wrong address for YEARS and it's my fault? They took my tax check and decided it wasn't enough and took my payroll checks and I'm probably gonna be homeless now. I was on hold for literally an hour and 59 minutes only for the guy to say something when I was taken off hold and when I said 'hello', he hung up. I'm so mad, it's hilarious. It won't let me set up a payment plan on the website which is encouraged so I have to call in to deal with this nonsense. And yes, I added a screenshot of the number and time for proof.You can call that number and see that it is a legit IRS number.I wish I didn't have to give a star..
Send me a a letter for a proposed amount owed because apparently I didn't file 2 w-2's. I called them to sort it out because I never received W-2's from these places. I got this cranky, crotch, $#*! on the phone operator number 100…she proceeded to speak to me in the most condescending tone…she spoke to me like I was supposed to to know exactly what she was taking about. I had never heard of the forms she was saying so when trying yo ask a question she said "you keep asking that and I keep telling you we don't need that form you need it for your records" so I kept asking her.on what is it I need to do then…she'd tell me and it sounded like I needed a w-2 so I asked again…so I just need a w-2 to prove they paid me? She said "No I already said no" so I said what are you talking about then I'm confused I've never seen…she start to talk over me….and she continues and I try to interrupt since she interrupted me I was saying "can I finish? Will you let me talk" over and over and she just kept talking over me. I finally yelled at her "WILL YOU LET ME TALK!" So she hung up on me! Bunch of crooks! And jerks!
