Corrupt
December 26, 2023

They feel and I think they are above everybody they have been weaponized by the communist left in our government if you go to some fast food restaurants if you look at their screen especially at Wendy's at the top of their screen it says IRS. For the information for the IRS my money is my money you have no freaking business knowing what I do with my money this is not a communist country you can take your IRS and shove it where the moon don't shine you're corrupt and you should be gotten rid of instead of going after people that you need to go after like Joe Biden and many other communist lefts in government they focus on destroying the lives of every day citizens

You can't get more cliche than an IRS rep hanging up on you. I called because we got a bill saying we didn't pay our $4K in taxes, well we did and have the receipts to prove. After being on hold over an hour, she checked my account and said that she needed to talk to my wife because her payment came through as individual although ear marked for this specific account/payment. I am getting frustrated and asking her, this woman starts complaining that she's not feeling well and that she doesn't want to talk to me anymore. I asked if she's hanging up on me, and she said yes, and she did. Imagine acting like this at your job?

I called the IRS customer service line and was on hold for less than 2 minutes. That was God's grace because usually I can't get through. I had a Ms. Spears and she was so pleasant to talk to and was very helpful in regards to why I was calling. I believe this has been the BEST experience of calling the IRS in my entire life. If all the reps could have her spirit, I believe it would be a better experience for everyone.

Useless
December 31, 2020

The transcript lookup tool was not working for me, even though I don't know what other address they could possibly want from me. The woman I spoke to said she didn't have access to the information and patronized me by telling me to take a deep breath, and then gave me a number for the helpdesk that no one answered (a voice message at that number redirected me to irs.gov, which is where I had the original problem). Kafka-esque nightmare.

I am understanding and am patient with wait/hold time. I've spent many years working in Customer Service and I understand different personalities and behaviors! Where does the IRS find and hire rudely-disrespectful employees. Many Americans are doing the best they can to survive and make ends meet and if "We the people" are calling in for help to understand and comprehend what steps to take and are working with the IRS to pay our debt, WHY must the IRS employees treat people like they are nothing and that they are a waste of their time? IRS please check your employees for it is us Americans who keep them working. Do you think that God is pleased with this? Woe to us for not being better people, God have mercy on the American people. I will pray for the guy I spoke to & who hung up on me. May God change your bitter heart.

Was on hold, got through to an agent. She wouldn't even listen to my question or info. Kept talking over me and then started complaining when I said it was stressful and tense when it didn't need to be. I am the one who needed help. Asked for a supervisor ir transferred. She said a call back and kept getting angry and agitated. She kept making wrong assumptions because she was too impatient to listen, I tried to explain and she hung up. That is what you get for being patient?!

I called again after my 4 hour wait to get through to that bad tempered impatient creep - a different number and got help immediately. Great lady. What a difference! She apologized for the nasty person I endured before.

What a joke
August 31, 2022

In the last 4 months or so I have been hung up on 6 times…. Couple times nothing was said it just hung up after being on hold for over an hour and the other times while I was talking with someone. There's a lot of rude people who work for the irs and I was told 4 different dates as when I would receive my return when the date would pass (I would wait 3 or 4 extra days) and call back then have someone else tell me a different date and that the person I spoke to prior was wrong and doesn't know what they are talking about…. That was said to me twice……so there are people working there just giving out dates basically get people to stop calling and wait for the date they were given only to be disappointed. Today the guy I spoke too wish I could have made out his name but he spoke really fast and was extremely rude and hung up on me after he told me what I wanted to hear. Absolutely ridiculous waiting on hold for that long and then to be disrespected……. Hire friendlier staff

IRS Customer Service Rep # *******835 made me cry after the phone call. 1.0.0.2. 8. 7. 7. 8. 3. 5. I just wanted to change my address as she was so rude and then hung up the phone after she was giving me a hard time. She told me to mail in a form or call back but she was not going to help me even though she could. I was so confused. I was on hold for so long... If for some reason she reads this, Why are you like this? You ruined my day. I'm just so frustrated and sad and I need to call back in to update my address but I'm scared to get that same treatment again.

I feel irs needs to update there stuff. I'm still trying to figure out why you take child tax earned income from taxes and apply it to child support debts. I'm married and every year you take my children's (his step kids) and take all that earned income for them away from my family and give it to his other children's mom. I feel that is no way right and the government should not be able to do that. I get the taxes you make from work being takin from taxes but what in heck gives the government the right to take what child tax credit and give it to another lady that me nor my 10,8 and 6 yr old did not sleep with.

You would think your government would make sure your ok in such a pandemic were in now. I get it there busy, but they just hired a bunch of ppl just to give you the run around as they been doing. I been filed my taxes since February but still have yet to receive my taxes and my stimulus check and each time I try to call it's either I get transferred and it's silent the whole time even when I say hello no one answer and then after 30 min of being on the phone in silence for 20 min they hang up. When you get transferred if you call the stimulus impact line they're of no help and they transfer you to dale as hear and once again no one answers but the call disconnected. Come on America you wanna be great again but u can't even do this right smh this is America for you, if you not in government you gonna just get the run around bout your own $#*! makes no sense.

The IRS is absolutely horrible for a normal tax return it takes 4 weeks but if you file an injured spouse it takes 14 weeks?!?!?! Makes no sence at all, i filed injured spose because of hard times an spouse not having a job but your gonna make me wait triple the time! MORONS! Its a simple form for them to review but yet they act like there trying to find a cure for a disease. They can take my money from my check every week but yet i need to wait MONTHS! For my money!
IRS needs to figure there Sh*t out cause it appears the place is ran by unqualified people.

What a joke
December 31, 2022

Website is a joke. Actually it's all a joke. If they know how much I owe why even do taxes? So the wealthy can wiggle their way out of them. I wish I could opt out of taxes. I don't like supporting the war machine anyway.

I don't know who's running a certain department over there but they try to talk to you like you're a bot but they got the wrong one because I'm going for it. They screw up on their end and when you try to call in to see what's going on, they tell you not to call them, cut you off when you're talking, and then hang up on you. The mfs behind the phone doing that $#*! needs to be fired because I promise you I have no problem cursing all of them tf out.

Should be a 0. I dealt with a rude unprofessional black male on the phone that laughed at my inquiry instead of assisting me. He also asked alot of unnecessary and personal questions about 10 of them and still could not verify my account. The representative before asked me 3 to 4 questions and got into my account. What a total idiot!

Usless and Rude
March 30, 2023

When I called the IRS, they informed me that my child was not mine. So they would not let me claim her. Than to say I owe taxes. They are big jokes and do not have a clue what is going on in the real world. One lady hangs up. I speak to everyone except the carpet on the floor. All of them need to be fired. They don't need tax reform; they need IRS reform.

Shame
July 15, 2022

Tried to make an appointment to go in person but the line was always "too busy to take my call" so I went in person anyway and was told I would need an appointment. Two years have passed after covid 19 and they still apologize for this,
Justifying his inattention and poor work. Shame!
