Very bed costumer service. I had few issues with my purchase, and is is impossible to contact costumer service and solve the problem. Lost my money and respect for this company. I would not recommend invaluables to anyone.

Website issues
August 19, 2017

I have bid many times and have won 2 lots, the first one was June 23rd, which I have yet to receive, the second one actually was very smooth. My biggest concern is that I keep asking to receive a text alert on different lots I have bid on I have never received a text and lost out on many items. I have trouble getting on their "live bidding" and lost out on some bids due to that. This is not my favorite site.

Invaluable is the creation of self proclaimed auctioneer and gold expert
Fred Holabird whom is an a confidence scam artist or con man. He also does business as Holabird Auctions, Holabird western Americana, Gold Leaf Placer, Holabird Kagin Americana, ect, ect.
Do not just go away mad, excepting your loss. Call your local police, the FBI, and your state attorney general and file complaints with them. He is already under investigation and the more information and complaints they have on him the more time he will serve!

Scammers
March 29, 2015

First off I own a store. I attend and bid online on dozens of auctions a month.
Most recently I bid on a Invaluable auction in Bedford TX. Gallery 70two. I have had problems with them before but thought I would try again. Had problems with quick response and acceptance of bids in their live auction. So I placed absentee bid with their Invaluable site. In the morning. At approx. 6:00pm my lot came up. I won at $45 my max being $70. Auctioneer stated internet bidder won my screen said I won. When I did not receive a invoice I called. The rude Auctioneer I spoke to said I must have had a problem in my system. What? I had a problem? Not sorry. It was my fault. Said a floor bidder had won. I WATCHED LIVE! Impossible. Complete scam, I am reporting them in the morning.

I specifically asked them in an email what the condition of the item was. They wrote back describing it in detail except for the fact that it was snapped in half. They said it must have happened in shipping which they had wrapped and shipped. It wasn't a fragile item at all and the reason I asked in an email was because the broken part was the only part not visible in their photo. I couldn't return it and got no retribution. Do not buy from them ever.

ArtFact is now Invaluable. Yes, I had an Artfact membership. I did sign up with Invaluable, but shortly thereafter, decided I did NOT want to receive their emails any longer. I UNSUBSCRIBED. Didn't make one iota of a difference! I am getting emails 3-4 times per weeks. They will NOT unsubscribe you... period!

I've been selling estates for 20 years. I have contacted Invaluable 5x over their email form. Leah has never replied to my request for info. Today I called their very difficult to locate phone number and was transferred to AuctionZip. I called back and a woman told me to fill out the form online and someone would contact me. When I told her I'd done it 5X she said she didn't know anything about it and hung up on me. So I called back and again, after pushing the numbers for invaluable sales was once again sent to George at Auctionzip. What a completely disorganized cluster f--- of a company. They don't want business from smaller auction houses, those that are growing with very strong reputations. If you aren't at a million in sales George said they won't talk to you. SO PUBLISH THE TRUTH AND QUIT wasting people's time with your BS advertising.

After three different experiences buying through Invaluable, I can confirm and assure that all three pieces of art are fakes. They sell pieces under the name of the original artist and shield themselves in their terms and conditions, but the truth is that after more than five months writing to the support service, I haven't received any answer.

The three auction houses are still repeatedly selling fakes and are doing nothing to stop it. Invaluable is protecting all these auction houses from fraudulent auctions. And this doesn't mean that all the auction houses that use Invaluable are fraudulent, but a VERY high percentage are. Just do a Google search to find hundreds of results on different pages and videos.

It's a shame, this seriously damages the credibility of the industry. Shame! Stay away from Invaluable if you're looking to buy an original piece.

Attached are two examples of clear counterfeits, sold to me for thousands of dollars under the name of the artists Christopher Wool and Toulouse Lautrec.

The names of the auction houses that sell these fakes are:
- 888 Auction
- Black River Auction
- Art Atelier

Dishonest Dealers
March 21, 2018

We deal in collectible and obsolete ammunition and cartridges. A number of times we have placed the winning bid for an item only to discover that the auction house description was totally inaccurate. They tell us a box is sealed to find out it has been wrapped in cellophane with the incorrect cartridges. The auction houses to stay away from are Holabird Americana Auctions, Hansen Reality, J. Levine Auction to name a few. Invaluable COULD CARE LESS about the dishonest auction houses that they host. Remember for them the name of the game is MAKE MONEY.

Use the catawiki auction site as a buyer. This has 25% auction fees instead of 8%. Also no protection for buyers. Major issues getting items delivered from. Bad sellers.

I recently purchased a ring at auction. Once I finally received it two months later I took it to my jeweler for an appraisal. He said it was in fact not up to the quality it was advertised to be at purchase nor was the gemology report that came with the ring accurate. In fact they were both way off! It was advertised as an SI white diamond with I-J color. The appraisal I received said it was at BEST I-1 yellow stone with L_M Color with many inclusions that were visible to the naked eye. In fact I took it to another jeweler just to have it looked at to make sure and he confirmed what the appraisal has said as well. Buyer beware, the "gemologist" report they provide in order to auction these diamonds off is not necessarily accurate! Will never make this mistake again!

I was sold a fake item, and have shown invaluable proof that it was fake. I was also able to show Invaluable that the same auction house was selling additional copies of the same fake listing and Invaluable does nothing to prevent this auction house from ripping people off. Any responsible platform would have put a stop to this. They hide behind their terms of service that they can't be held responsible but when you knowing allow fraud to continue, your whole platform is suspect. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to ever believe that they're purchasing an authentic item through Invaluable.com and even if they can prove that they've been sold a coutnerfeit, Invaluable will do nothing to protect the consumer and just tell them to deal directly with the auction house. The same auction house that is happy to rip you off... yeah that's going to work. I was able to dispute the charges through my credit card which in the end was the only way to get my money back and I highly suggest anyone who finds they've been sold a counterfeit item to do the same.

OOPS! I WAS WRONG!

FAKE ART?!
June 9, 2022
Previous review

I bid on an item about 2 weeks ago. I stayed in the Invaluable site to ensure I would be the highest bidder. I then received an email stating the item had been "Passed", even though I put in the highest bid that was showing on the website. When I contacted them by email, I was told to contact the auction house, directly. I looked up the name of the auction house and checked their address. I them went to Google maps and it appeared this "auction house" was being run out of a small stationary store in Florida, with absolutely no mention if it being an auction house, on the outdoor sign. It also had very poor Google reviews which included paying for items which the customers never received, or items arrived damaged. I gave up after that, since this supposed "auction house" did not appear to be a legitimate business. About 2 weeks later, I saw another item on Invaluable, but this time it was in Germany. Since I live in Canada, I did not want to send money to a foreign country, unless I was sure it was a legitimate art auction house. I've contacted them several times, in English and in German, but their responses didn't seem to have anything to do with the piece of art I was asking about. Two days ago, I sent them an email stating that I had family in Germany who were going to come to their auction house to check out the item in question, assess its authenticity and then I would send them the money for it. Today, I went to their website and could not find this item, at all even though I was assured just 48 hours ago that they still had it. I went back to the Invaluable website and logged in to see if I could find it again, but I was repeatedly blocked from logging in! Did the auction house in Germany contact them and tell them I was questioning the authenticity of the piece of art I was interested in buying?! I have no idea! I just know, I can no longer access their website! Strange happenings with Invaluable! Very happy I found this website! Will definitely - not- be buying anything from them!

I was bidding on multiple items and all bids where through but then were later rejected. Invaluable blamed it on the auction house but auction house disputed it. The customer service department at invaluable neither cared or would do anything to resolve the issue. Do like me... CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT! BETTER YET---DON'T EVEN BOTHER JOINING!

Laterndluhr fake
October 24, 2018

Lot Nr. 121 - Biedermeier Laderndluhr 1 year Astronomical Regulator on Fountain Auction Gallery on 17.Nov. 2018 is a total fake!

Here is the short story about this Laterndluhr-fake:

Some years ago I`ve bought this clock from the Vienna "art dealer" Mr. Andreewitch at a high amount and after the clock experts had found, that this clock was a total fake, Mr. Andreewitch had to take back the clock and to return the whole amount I`ve paid. Mr. Andreewitch also had to pay all the costs for the Vienna law court and the whole costs for the lawyers.

Fraud
February 23, 2019

I bought a piece of art from Art Legacy via Invaluable and it was completely fake. The company represented the work as authentic and send a certificate of authenticity. Complete fraud. There is no way anyone would glue a lithograph to styrofoam. Complete waste of money. DO NOT BUY FROM INVALUABLE OR ART LEGACY

TIME FOR A CLASS ACTION SUIT

4/24/16

Invaluable provides a path for auction houses to operate to sell their wares. I recently bought a so called Persian Kerman rug only to find out it was not Persian and was originally sold by Sears. When I complained that is was totally misrepresented, I was offered back $ 100 of a $ 1k expense that includes the price of the rug, buyers premium, taxes and shipping. If you cannot be at the sale, do not use these services. Someone needs to be responsible for this rip off scam.
