I bid $30.00 on lot 910 freedom auction co. Sarasota, Florida, yesterday several hours before lot came up, on invaluable, and lot sold for $30.00, but I did not win! All invaluable shows I bid was $20.00, but that was opening bid amount, but my total bid was $30.00, and invaluable did not show that my total bid when I made it was $30.00, and did not auto bid for me, like they have always done before. I was watching action, and it went to $30.00, and sold for $30.00, but not to me. I am through with invaluable, as much money as I have spent on thier auctions, and they screw you like this on a $30.00 bid, they will screw you for more if you do business with them, sorry way to do business, I will stick to ebay, for sure now. Getting items shipped on these invaluable auctions is 2 to 3 times more than ebay shipping anyway, and they will double screw you on shipping on majority of these auctions, anyway. Best just to go to ebay, they are upfront about there shipping, and auto bidding for you! Invaluable can suck a big on, sorry ba#&%#&'s
Horrible site! I had the high bid and lost? Tried to contact site to no avail. Should be reported to BBB!
BEWARE!
Why is the SAME ''nearly uncirculated' William III guinea that sold for $7,000 in the last sale (119). ALREADY. UP FOR SALE AGAIN in THIS COMING AUCTION (120) for A LOWER starting estimate ($5,000) THAN at the last auction ($6,000).
It's a warranted question?
I didn't bid (sale 119) because of information received from an astute pair of eyes at the time.
Somebody else obviously wasn't that fortunate.
My experience is that the condition stipulated in the flashy auction catalogues - in general - cannot be taken at face value.
It absolutely needs to be verified by an experienced pair of eyes BEFORE BUYING at ALL times that the coin(s) you are about to buy have NOT been cleaned.
If not, don't be surprised if the coin(s) is / are later identified as cleaned (altered surface) by PCGS and returned to you UNgraded.
I will give you a warning do not bid online on any thing from Morphy Auctions and invaluable web sight. Morphy are down right fraudulent lair's and i can prove it. I bid on a lot of items lot 113 through the invaluable web sight and won it for $450 add the buys premium and shipping it came up to a lot of money.
But when it arrived it was a different lot they sent me lot 112 when i complained they told me I didn't win the lot 113 that invaluable was telling me i won. They said lot 112. This went on for a while they keep on telling me i didn't win lot 113. Then they sent me a invoice stating i won the lot i had no idea about lot 112. Which was not on the invaluable sight of my winning auctions at all.
I rang invaluable and they were dumb founded they told me I had definitely won lot 113 and told me the name of the person who won lot 112. And get this Morphy have the same list as them and could not in any way be different as it was through their web sight.
After invaluable sent them a email asking them to explain they shut up and i haven't heard a thing from them, nothing, zero. What lying sc um.
Morphys had fraudulently doctored up a fake invoice, to this day i have not got my items with no explanation no apology and invaluable have not helped me at all.
I have the doctored invoice and items i don't wan't and are not worth the money I spent.
Morghy Auctions can not be trusted one little bit. Do not risk buying any thing from the criminals morphy actions.
The company's customer service is non existent. Invaluable has little to no influence over the dealers and the Auctions that are conducted on their platform. Invaluable is just a middle man that collects a fee. They claim no responsibility for anything. If you would like to deal with a fair business, please look elsewhere.
The situation below makes me believe that INVALUABLE allows and profits from sellers massively defrauding the platform's customers.
A friend of mine, who is also a VIP Invaluable member, bought an item via Invaluable platform from JB Military Antiques in Australia and I was acting on his behalf throughout the transaction.
After not receiving the WW2 belt and buckle for multiple months, I contacted the Auction in Australia and they said that the item was lost during the shipping process, but the have not provided any supporting evidence and any documents verifying that the item was lost and the copy of the shipping label. I have absolutely no clue whether the lot was either shipped to the wrong address, seized, lost, or even shipped at all.
After multiple unsuccessful attempts to get the information from JB Military Antiques, I contacted invaluable to help me in resolving the situation. After ten + emails, the customer service representative still had absolutely no clue what I wanted from them and saw nothing wrong that JB Military lied to me on multiple occasions and did not provide any requested documentation. As previously said, the goal of a customer care team is to run you around in circles and play dumb claiming no responsibility for the Auction's actions.
It is unbelievable that I have not received the LOT in four months and neither INVALUABLE or JB Military Antiques could provide any single documented proof confirming that the $700 LOT was lost.
I will never deal with Invaluable or any auction that works with this platform again. Complete scam.
I have over 1700 transaction with this company. When things go well, as they should, things are fine. When things don't go well, as when auction houses on the site don't live up to their obligations, Invaluable's so-called Customer Service is useless. They have even emailed me that their policy is to not get involved in post transaction issues. As a result. When I have not received my auction wins, or have been sent wrong items, my only recourse has been to contact my credit card company. It seems that there is no due diligence on the part of Invaluable in checking the auction houses using this site. I have found many examples of extremely bad practice and even fraud among some of these. My most recent problem involves a ring I purchased November 10,2019 from Imperial Auction for $30.00. The auction terms stated "Shipping: Due to popular demand, this auction will have FREE SHIPPING, FREE HANDLING, & FREE INSURANCE ON ALL ITEMS AND INVOICES.
Thank you very much for bidding with us!"
When I was sent an Invaluable invoice for $66.00 including $30.00 for shipping I replied with my US address and requested a corrected invoice. No reply yo that or two subsequent emails.
Today I received an Invaluable receipt stating thay they had processed the $66.00 charge through my credit card. This charge was unauthorized by me and I view it as fraudulent. I could find nothing in Invaluable's terms of service that they would engage in this deplorable behavior.
CAVEAT EMPTOR I will be cancelling my account with this dishonest business.
I bid on through artfact but when the computer was loading the bid, the auctioneer moved onto the next lot and obviously a technical error, the bid automatically went onto the next lot and I won the that item but it was not what I bidded for. I rang the auction house straight away to tell them what happened but they said they were too busy to talk and I emailed artfact straight away but all their replies were according to our system you bided on the next item, so they can't do anything about it. But that is exactly when the problem was, there was a fault in their system, if the computer was taking too long to load then I miss out on the bid fair enough, but the fact that it went onto the next item is a problem. It happened to me twice on that day and I know what I want to bid on and pressed the bid button on the item I wanted so don't tell me I bided on the wrong item. IT IS ARTFACT SYSTEMS FAULT. BEWARE!
I purchased a Rolex DateJust watch from AuctionBarn Estates, Dave Palley tried desperately to talk me into paying bank to bank.
I paid by PayPal and am I glad I did.
After I paid I had no contact from AuctionBarn Estates, email after email I sent with no reply, 29 days it took before I received my purchase, and when my purchase arrived it was not as described.
I emailed AuctionBarn Estates with my complaint and I had no response to any of my emails I sent.
I opened a case with PayPal Item not as Described, after PayPal's investigation I was refunded, and kept the watch, that will teach AuctionBarn Estates to try to rip customers off
Don't buy from AuctionBarn Estates there dishonest and if you do buy from AuctionBarn Estates pay by PayPal as you have Buyers Protection,
Just avoid...

Did anyone know that invaluable.com and ebay have a contract to sell items from these auction houses and that when you are bidding you are in competition with other bidders from Ebay.live and another auction site that is also in partnership with invaluable? If this information was disclosed would you still bid on one of the auction on invaluable or Ebay.live? I certainly would have been bidding on Ebay since it protects its consumers. I also believe they have "bidders" artificially increasing the bid amounts until they realize a price where they have made a decent profit and charge an additional minimum 20% buyers premium on each item. The numbers done lie. In one weekend auction that sells over valued and poor quiality jewelry a minimum of $150,000. They are making a boat load of money using tactics the take advantage of the consumers yet work their terms and conditions so that they cannot be held liable. Ebay is a public held company and it prides itself with its buyer protection policy so why doesn't invaluable offer the same protection since they have a contract with Ebay to cross platform these auctions. In a brick and mortar auction you have bidders in house, phone bidders and sealed bids but the way these companies run these auction you can't verify who is legitimate who is working for the companies in question. There have been numerous instances where the items won on these platforms are fake, broken and over valued with a "certificate of value" by some unknown jewelry grader. I contacted an auction house where i was the high bidder on two of their inflated auctions to discuss these issues and was ignored. Since i still have not opened the federal express box they offered me the opportunity to return the items with a 40% restocking fee. I have decided instead to take a stand and fight. I think its time that we stand up for our consumer rights and form some sort of class action suit against all of these companies. Someone has to be responsible for this level of unethical business practices. If you have interest in joining me you can email me at auctionclassaction.gmail.com. Also, if you have knowledge and or experience with these type of issues i would greatly appreciate your assistance.
Lots of fake things, auctioners are a joke. Pending aprovals... bought an autograph... estimated 400 pounds just to find out its a fake. STAY AWAY
My rings are beautiful. They are also so enhanced that they are no where near worth what they are appraised at. Not sure how they get away with this.
Wait since 3 days for access after registration.
Get only: "Pending approval" an can't bid!
What a drag
Absolutely no Communication.
Stay away
My problem with Artfact.com is that they give the auction houses too much power. I bought an item--3 native american clay pipes-- from Garth's Auction in Ohio that turned out to be brand new. It was in the middle of an auction of antiques and only had a brief description so I assumed they were antique. I had an expert look at them and he said they were new. Garth's refused to cancel the sale and instead gave me a "non-paying bidder" strike, which now is a roadblock to my getting approved to bid by other auction houses. Even worse, ones I talk to, agree with Garth's. There is a HUGE problem among auction houses in NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY for what they sell. It is a whole new ballgame out there with Internet bidding. A bidder has to be cautious even when buying in pertson. But buying on the Internet is a minefield. The only safe way to buy is to BE ABLE TO TRUST THE AUCTION HOUSE to be accurate, or take the item back. Some of them purposely post only scanty photos and descriptions, so they can't be held responsible. This is shady and unprofessional. Garth's is to blame for not saying straighht out, that the pipes were new. Artfact is to blame for hosting
Such unethical businesses. I am the victim and now I am being hurt. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL if you use any of these "live" auctions. No one will take care of you--even if THEY are wrong.
I purchased a Marc Chagall painting through Invaluable affiliated auction House 'Art Legacy' in Chicago. It was a signed lithograph. After paying the premium and the shipping charges, when I received the painting, I decided to have it independently appraised. By two separate appraisers, it was assessed as a fraud. The painting was a photograph reproduction from a book and the artist signature was inserted afterwards because the original that appears in the Raison Catalogue does not have the artist signing directly on the lithograph. I contacted Art Legacy and they told me if I was not happy, I could return it. So I paid additional shipping to return the painting to them. And this is where the drama gets more complicated. I gave them wiring instructions to send me back my $649 and I never heard back. After several phone calls, I was told that by them that I had given them the wrong wiring instructions (I had not) and that they could not recover the funds. Since I live in Canada, I contacted TD, my bank here in Canada, who also tried to intervene. I instructed Art Legacy to do a wire trace with their Comerica Bank and this saga dragged on for close to 2 months. After contacting Art Legacy two weeks ago, I was told the funds were finally recovered. I then instructed them to mail me a cheque, (registered so it would not be lost) which also dragged on. Finally today, I received the cheque for $500 with a little note saying that fees and processing charges had been deducted without specifying where the difference between the $649 I paid and the $500 I received went. This ordeal went on for over 2 months. What a nightmare! You would think since the painting was a fraud to begin with, the mixup on their end with the wire transfer and the inconvenience I was put through that the least they could do would be reimburse me in full for the price I paid. Buyer Beware if dealing with Art Legacy.

THey sell Arshile Gorky. How authentic they might be?
Answer: Same thing happened to me. Don't wait, they'll give you mumbo-jumbo.
Answer: Because you take a cut but accept ZERO responsibility. When called on to help, you disappear. That's why.
Answer: After three different experiences buying through Invaluable, I can confirm and assure that all three pieces of art are fakes. They sell pieces under the name of the original artist and shield themselves in their terms and conditions, but the truth is that after more than five months writing to the support service, I haven't received any answer. The three auction houses are still repeatedly selling fakes and are doing nothing to stop it. Invaluable is protecting all these auction houses from fraudulent auctions. And this doesn't mean that all the auction houses that use Invaluable are fraudulent, but a VERY high percentage are. Just do a Google search to find hundreds of results on different pages and videos. It's a shame, this seriously damages the credibility of the industry. Shame! Stay away from Invaluable if you're looking to buy an original piece.
Answer: It more than likely means the item didn't make its reserve and was not sold.
