They are horrible! I would never recommend. No supervisors. Customer service is rude. The device is garbage, and was installed in my car without my permission (doesn't matter why). Point is I should have had to agree to have this in my car. It's not even for me!
Have complained from first month of having it installed that it was draining and killing my battery went and bought a new battery and still had troubles called multiple times to complain had it in sleep mode still drained battery had to be jumped all the time. Now in shop said battery bad but what is draining it!? Sure they wont admit it's their fault. Even the shop slipped and said they asked for a new component because it's that!
Customer service is the worst service I've ever had to deal with. I was charged 82$ for a violation that is literally impossible for me to commit. I am currently wearing a SCRAM bracelet that checks my sweat every 30 minutes for alcohol. Wether it me lotion, alcohol wipes, cologne etc. If I drink or use said products I go to jail. You would think customer service would listen to my case and help me retract this violation. After two days worth of phone calls they are unwilling to help me. I hope that some day soon the authorities will look into this company INTOXALOCK because it is a major scam.
This company is horrible! Don't even waste your time or money! They try to charge you for everything possible. Not only do you have to pay for an install, they charge you over $50 by weekly, $25 for a calibration that needs to be done every month, $75 every time you get a lockout! Then to top it all off I go to get the device removed and the company that they sent me to charged me $250 that I wasn't told about until I arrived! The worst company ever!
I am a DUI attorney and I am embarrassed that I referred some clients over to this operation. They looked professional but they closed down their shop in my town for financial reasons and require my clients to drive over an hour each way to get it serviced. To make matters worse, they refuse to remove their interlock device so that a local interlock company can install their own machine. I called them, spent an hour trying to speak to a human being, and was given the run around.
100% scam, do not get involved with this company. For 2 months I've had a device form them. 1st time they installed the wrong device and reported to the wrong state. That took a month to resolve. They pretended to fix the problem, changed the device (I paid for this with a promise they would send a check that was never sent) now they are not reporting to my home state. So for 2 months I've had and paid for a device I can not use, I would be 1/6 of the way through with this device, but now I still have my full time remaining because of these scammers.
I've had this device for a week and have a violation which is going to cost me $105, $75 to my account and 30 to re-calibrate at the shop
I called to ask what the viol 11, meant and I was told that it was because I turned the key before blowing. No one told m that if I turned the key that it would be a violation and cause a lock out.
I'm really upset, I don't have that type of money to pay for any violations.
So I went to get my batter changed and all of a sudden the device just stopped working. So now I have to tow it to my house and then tow it to the service center to get a new device. Oh yeah, they can't get a new one till freaking Wednesday. That's in 5 days. Could hardly understand the guy on the phone and tried to tell me to calm down when obviously I'm upset. Then threatened to hang up on me so I hung up first. Getting a battery changed shouldn't of messed up the whole device. What a joke
So Many violations I had to pay at $75.00 a pop that weren't alcohol related. Even violations because their mouth pieces never stay on the equipment, fall beneath the seat, and at your feet while driving causing even more danger driving on the roadways and if you don't blow in time another $75.00 add on. They don't even want you to call complaining because they will do nothing. The thing that gets me is my car was just recently totalled and they want me to pay an early termination fee of over $120.00. This is so sickening to me as they don't talk to you as they are human they are only after your money. I'm buying a new car in the next few months and I definitely will not go back to this company for their services because they have no human relationships with their customers. What a circus they run taking advantage of everyone.
I wish I could give them a zero star. By far the worst experience I am having ever. Not only am I fighting this DUI case but I have to deal with this horrible machine that has been giving me problems since day one. Every time I explained this to customer service and service center, I am dismissed and told this is normal. Battery drain within 2months of using it, hidden fees left and right, missed work (more money missed), outsource customer service is horrible, fake failed results and the list goes on. I wish I would have took a chance and risked driving dirty. I thought I would never think this way but this experience is so stressful. You have to blow ever 5 mins (sometimes a little more) while driving and this is very dangerous. I don't know why this is a solution. I pray to God I get through this 8 months and God gets me out of this experience in a positive way somehow.
Do not use this company. My car used to drive swiftly and amazing and I just got the car 3 months ago. 2.0 Turbo! All the sudden, After the install I now have obvious lag on every gear. I'm sure the company will say "well don't get a dwi then" or "we'll we only connect to the wiring of the starter, it won't effect anything" we'll, you messed my car up. Again. They have no right to completely mess up a persons car. Mine happened to be a very rare and expensive car. They love to call you a "customer" as to rub their stupid product in your face. I will take my time to sue this company for their product and their company recommending the installation company.
Customer service was great before installation and after installation it was absolutely terrible, the worst. My son has a voluntary system installed. My son had a lockout for vehicle electrical reason, could not get through to customer service. Once I got through I was transferred 2 times and then disconnected. Customer service reps don't speak good English and they don't know what's going on. And there were more calls to them and we were not able to get through.
I only needed the interlock device in my car for 3 months. The employee I initially spoke to put my lease for 7 months but told me it was fine. That I can just call them and remove at any time. Motor vehicles and the courts told me I had completed and that I could remove the device. When I called intoxilock to remove the device they told me I would be charged $180 for early cancellation. That I should of read the fine print on the lease. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Search another company with better reviews in your area.
Worst customer service ever. This device will freeze on you in cold weather and if you call in for help. They tell you to warm a towel to warm it up which, does not work! Then they will nickel and dime out of you each month! I was quoted $50 dollars a month and it is really over $100. Do not go with these people they will lie to you! Worst customer service ever. Yea if you call in for help just be prepared you will be on hold for over a hour each time.
Go somewhere else! After you pay them they act like they don't know how to answer your calls or questions and they are always hanging up on you! It's so hard to get someone to talk to you who speaks and understands ENGLISH! Why am I pressing one for English to get someone who doesn't understand a syllable I'm saying….
This company is the absolute WORST. The representatives and managers are horrible to talk to when you have an issue with your device. I have had several issues with my device. First they told me I needed a new device once it stopped working. Then they told me it was the battery so I literally got a new battery and literally 2 weeks later I'm going through issues with it again. My car is not an older vehicle. It's a 2019 with a new battery and when I talk to them including a manager, they were extremely rude with no resolution. I literally only have a few weeks to go with this crap and I'm getting issues after issues. STAY AWAY!
On extremely cold days the device will sometimes malfunction after it has started amd wont accept your breaths. If you get a lock out it will not be refunded and you will be charged over a $100 for no fault of your own. WATCH OUT
Interlock is horrible they claim they are the best but in fact even the DMV claims they are getting worse and worse. Every appointment I make they send me 45 minutes away from my home to these getto like establishments and on multiple times they set my appointment and I arrive and make me wait half hour or more in these shady locations. Then make excuses for why you have to wait when they clearly made other appointments to squeeze in new clients at your expense. Let alone the cost is three times as much as other companies and the line behind me as I'm writing this review is growing SMH but ask them they are the best ya we love just lining up to hand you out hard earned money
This is the SECOND TIME my vehicle has been completely disabled due to nothing I can control! This company has absolutely ZERO remote control of their interlock devices if you run into an issue out of your control... their only answer is "sorry, tow it, maybe we can reimburse you for your $200 tow if you email us your receipt we will "look into it."" okay, and what if I dont have the $200 to tow my vehicle? The company has been paid for their device routinely by me via autopay but you want me to TOW my vehicle because your service providers dont offer service? They try to control you using the words "state mandated."
I am 11 months sober. That would be a celebration, but the 10 months I have had with Intoxalock's IID during this time have been the worst 10 months of my life. I am on my third lockout violation in a week due to this device destroying my car battery (violation 11) during subzero temperatures and have received no assistance beyond, "Go get it reset at your service center for $75 and then somehow file a complaint with people that don't know what is happening."
The reviews that you are seeing here are fake. I am as close to suicidal as could possibly be (several emergency calls to my therapist tonight), and there is not a single person at Intoxalock willing to help. Please, whatever it takes, do not use this company. They will bleed you dry and laugh all the way to the bank.

Answer: Sale man was very pushy and I was very panicked about loosing my license. He kept calling me after I told him I would give him a call back. No one in this company wants to help you, avoid them.

Answer: No. They suck. They're parasites. They're not even very good at that. They're really more battery police than making sure people don't drive drunk. They also forgot that the people with their device are the paying customers. If you are bad to those that pay your bills, they're going to stop paying you.
