Out of nowhere my device said lock out in four days so I called them to find out what it was about well they said after I turned off the car and got out device went back on so they charged me $20 at the shop and then $130 on top of that complete rip off do not get
I tried sending this via email to intoxalock, but it failed to send because their inbox is full. Pretty good indicator for how poor their customer service is.
After reading the reviews on yelp, I now understand what is going on. You want me to jump through hoops so you can keep charging my credit card. As instructed, I returned my portable device to the service center back in April. I also sent the order for removal from the judge, and I'm still getting charged. The next time my credit card is charged I will file a dispute with my bank for fraud. You will not receive another dime from me. The customer service reps are the rudest people I've ever talked to and are of no help. I have fulfilled my obligation to the state, I don't need your permission to return my portable device. I won't ever need your services again, but if anyone I know does, I will make sure they steer clear of intoxalock.
Horrible horrible company, very poor customer service, and extremely corrupt. Interlock device keeps killing my brand new battery and they charge me lockout fees constantly for a dead battery? My vehicle worked very well until I had this device installed. They also want me to pay for an inspection.
The customer service generally sucks. It is outsourced to middle eastern countries so there is automatically a communication barrier. The device itself is archaic compared to others and the cost ends up being more because of calibration and lockout fees.
Worst company I ever came across. Shopping around do not use them they will con you out off your money. Horrible customer service all the care about is charging people for fees that they make up has they go. Don't use them the worst company I ever work with...
This has been the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of working with. Once you have an account, you will not talk with a human ever again. So don't expect your questions to be answered. They will sell you on other bulls**t that you don't actually need (roadside assistance, a sleeve, etc) and charge you for said items for MONTHS after your device was removed. If you call them about it, they'll ask you to send an email to their admin department, whom doesn't even exist (they don't have a phone number and can't transfer you). Once you don't have an account anymore and you need to talk to someone, you'll call and wait on hold for over an hour only to be hung up on or for the person on the other line to just breathe into the phone.
I'm truly f**king disgusted with this company. I wouldn't even give one star.
First they will give you a sales pitch that specifically says "All you have to do is pay $xx today and we will include the following at no extra cost" then they will list all the items that you will not be charged for. Good luck on that - when you set up your account online and actually review it, they do in fact charge you for the items plus additional charges you were never told about. If you don't stay on top of them, you will never get the credits you were promised. When it comes time to remove the device, you are charged account termination fees that were never disclosed as well as an exorbitant amount to the installer for removal which was never disclosed.
Bottom line, these people are skirting the line of illegal business practices very closely if not downright ignoring it and they get away with it because the state is usually complicit in the process to further punish you for your offense.
Stay away from Intoxalock at all costs.
Please avoid this company at all costs. They are not upfront about pricing and sneaking fees on you. Do not put a card on file. Do not use this company at all. The device will drain your battery and destroy your car's computer.
Once again intoxalock strikes! Locked my son out once again, for no reason at all, and charged him! Crap adds up at almost $200 each time doesn't it?! Getting rich for being CROOKS! So sick to death of this crooked company and the people that own it, run it, and work it! Obviously no education or skills are needed for this job! You just have to know how to steal and be okay with it
This company is the absolute worst to deal with on all counts. Their customer service is non existent. No one ever answers and you then get stuck in a useless loop of useless information. The device itself malfunctions to such a degree it damage my ignition system. They are a customer service nightmare. Young, abusive and accusatory. In fact, I have been hung up on while writing this. JUVENILE behavior. The reps they use are unreliable as well and work out of shady businesses themselves. The reps do not care for the service either. I have not had this installed on 3 years and today get called about owing them. Not to mention, I was told I was being turned over to collections for a $500 product fee and questioned repeatedly how I could have removed the device without a work order. Cant imagine how a terribly run company using sketch installers could ever make a mistake…. This is not my problem when you as a company suck and then use sketch installers… this is grift!
The device occasionally sends a sample request after you've turned your car off and gotten out. They can see that your parked somewhere and not in the car. Customer service told me that this is how the device is set up. What I get from that is "Our device is programmed to cheat people out of money". Why else would they require a sample when your no longer in your vehicle?
I had a great experience w/Matthew Beavers! Customer service isn't what it use to be, but after my one on one w/Matthew. It brings hope back! He took the time to explain everything & had a great attitude. Thank you for your services.

These devices are highly prone to errors and failures costing you money in fees and inaccurate reporting. I am on my third device in less than three months. Even though they have replaced it three times, the device faults into violations causing me to pay additional fees to the service center and the company. My device will let me start the car, and it continue to count down asking me to start the car, even though it is started. If the computer does not reset before the countdown ends, it will cause a violation costing me $125 each time. I have video recorded this several time for the service center to see. They agree that it is a device.
I was stranded multiple times with a small child. I had to replace faulty device 3 times. They scheduled removal on a Sunday instead of Monday. The agents are rude and have no idea what they are doing. The hold times are around 30 to over an hour. A total nightmare.
This is a big RIPOFF company! I've paid over $850.00 in violation fees and none have to do with alcohol. And that's not including the charges I was able to get removed. Customer service sucks no one is ever able to give a strait answer. There is absolutely, positively no way I would recommend these crooks to anyone!
The device always has issues that they "can't" see but know if you blow incorrectly. And customer service is absolutely the worst, never helpful and contradict what each other say and always hanging up on you.
To begin, the hold time is ridiculous. EVERY single phone call is frustrating, annoying and rarely accomplishes anything. Two weeks ago I was transferred to about 13 different people. They SAY your call is being recorded but IF that is true, does anyone ever listen to the call for "training purposes", unless they specifically train their customer service employees to say they can't help you but they'll connect you to someone who can...then they connect you to someone else who also cannot help you.
After 2 hours on the phone on 10/21/23, one person told me "the company has you on a hamster wheel". Intoxalock KNOWS that their devices are defective, giving the driver erroneous readings which causes violations, which provides Intoxalock with more $$ through the violations and also by keeping the device on the car longer. The company should be investigated for it's practices and the number of faulty or defective devices it installs.
I paid $120 for device removal and $269 for early termination to switch to a different device and it was totally worth it. There are too many devices out there with a 3 second blow and rare rolling retests and stow away nicely. This one doesn't even function.
I installed this volentererly in my car. I've had issues of it draining my battery, lock outs because I've unplugged it because it was draining my battery and just a lot of other issues. There is no way to contact the 'company' via email that I can find. Everything is out sourced to an Indian call center where no one knows the answer or I am given different answers each time. I've learned more from having the device than any of the call center folks. What a joke this shame of a company is, what a waste. Do not use them for anything unless you want to continue your pain and suffering. God grant me serenity.

They also forgot that the people with their device are the paying customers. If you are bad to those that pay your bills, they're going to stop paying you.
