Company is will set appointment and take your $27.50 and then never deliver the part to the mechanic. Then the have the audacity to charge for a no show. Customer service is horribly rude, especially Kayla, and will make you jump through hoops for a refund. They literally have no care that they don't keep appointment times for their customers.
3 months after having the device removed from my vehicle, the the company still charges me monthly for their roadside service. Instead of just canceling it when the device is removed, they they make you send an email separately to have this canceled. This is ridiculous. I did not have to send an email to sign up, I should not have to send an email to unsubscribe from a service I never needed in the first place.
I had their device installed for over a year, but that time didn't count because they assured me I had permission to remove the device when that was not true. I thought I had completed all that was required of me only to find out years later that my license had been suspended due to their incompetence. I will now have to start the process over again to reinstate my license. They simply do not care that their representatives lied to me repeatedly. Once I was eventually able to talk to someone in their escalation department I was told that they don't even communicate with my state MVD and it is my fault for believing the lower-level representatives when they told me they do.
What a horrible greedy company nickeling and diming every step of the way. I was given a lockout when no where near my car, and one recently because I used mouthwash before using device and charged 80 dollars both times. There's a camera installed in my vehicle but they certainly won't use it to your advantage. This company could care less about you and will charge you unreasonable fees for every little thing. Awful company, DO NOT use their services or you'll regret it. Go with any other company. I can't wait to have this god awful money sucking device removed from my car. Go $#*! yourselves intoxilock.
My time was up a month ago and they still haven't set up a date for removal. First they said that I needed paperwork from DMV to schedule the removal. I went to DMV and they said they don't issue removal paperwork even though my term had been successfully. Called CS again and they said don't worry about the ppw, the temp drivers license with the Interlock stamp on it should have a removal date. I looked at the license and confirmed what I already knew and it does not have a removal date. So Customer Service came up with their third shot into the dark. I needed a new license. But you cannot walk into DMV in NJ and get a new license anymore. You have to order a duplicate online which takes a minimum of 20 days to get to you in the mail. So I paid Leroy down the straight a six pack of bud and he had the device out in 10 minutes. Enough is enough.
Yes I got a dui. Complexity my fault. 40 years of safe driving and just didnt have enough to eat one night. But this thing is beyond dangerous. It goes off non stop, the tube to blow into falls of constantly. Your left scambing in traffic and reaching for the device in dicey situations. There has to be a safer option. I mean put a camera in the car. Something to keep people from drinking while they I drive. That is the only reason I can assume it goes off every 10 minutes.
I got the service for a month, got it removed. Lady I spoke to for way to long (and multiple calls) set it up. Everything was good but my auto payments kept getting charged for the roadside assistance. So I called multiple times to get it stopped, (on their website, if you put in a payment you can't remove it, wtf?!) so I told them I will go to my bank and have it stopped for fraud and refunded. Had it stopped & refunded, now I'm getting letters in the mail saying I was arrested and need their service again, getting calls saying I'll go to collections when my balance is $0. So they charged me $30-40 for each roadside assistance they charged me and labeled it as "chargeback fee". This company, service is a scam, fraud and should be and will be sued. DO NOT USE THEM.
I have to have this device on my car for 5 years. After the first year of use and thousands of dollars charged to our families bank accounts, the car Is not starting anymore. I pass the test on the device, I have a button starter so I push the brake petal down and push the button to start the car and it will not ever start. If you don't use it for around 2 hours it might start again. I have had to have my car towed 3 times and have been stuck in my car for hours in random areas where I go and it doesn't start. They did the entire intoxalock wiring in the car eventually and it worked for about 2 weeks without problem then now it doesn't work again so I'm just not going to use my car and then I have no transportation all because of this device. I don't know what to do because I can't even afford a used car to buy and drive without the device and risk getting in further trouble with the law.
Customer service is bad changed service from smart start bad idea, not spose to have gps, they installed it any way takes me 15 mins to start my truck in the mornings ive had it 3 weeks ive had to pull over to the side of the road till i finally got it to retest, never signed a lease now they want to charge me 250$ for early removal, go smart start nvr had a prob in 3 yrs
After 6 months of blowing in the device every 15 min. I can say it is very driver distracting. How I made it 6 months without an accident, only God knows. Then you not only have to blow in, but you have to inhale your own carbon monoxide waste, and all the bacterial waste. I contracted bacterial pnuemonia, and feel it was from the intoxalock device. You dont have time to brush your teeth between blow/inhale, and mouthwash causes it to fail. I am presently trying to find others who have gotten sick to join in a class action suit. Not quite over the sickness, but hoping this helps others to beware.
Worst company ever I wish I had done my research but that was a costly mistake for me. This company is in fact a greedy lying business which you would be very wise and thankful to stay away from. Besides how much of a headache it is to speak with a human through their horrible telephone system...they are straight liars. I was told I'd pay $175 for install but when I got to the shop after the installation was complete I was charged $250. Called them up to demand an explanation and apparently the $175 is after a mail in rebate which I wasn't told about. Long story short got my first statement after 2 weeks with a bill exceeding $200 with several miscellaneous charges. I called another IID company and had intoxalock removed and their device installed. I'm out $290 with this company and not to mention the removal of their equipment and the installation cost of the service I chose to go with instead. I only lasted 2 weeks with them but I was very satisfied to have their device removed and to toss that s**t in the dumpster.
I was told Intoxalock's service would cost $74.99 per month and would be billed twice a month – on the first and third Friday of each month – at $37.49 each payment. What they did not mention is there is a monthly data processing fee and they mislead me with the initial statement of twice per month. The fact is it is not 24 payments (twice a month for 12 months), but instead 26 payments (every other week for a year). So both the monthly amount quoted and the number of payments was misrepresented.
I've only had this thing installed for 4 months so far. And so far i've replaced the battery, spark plugs, ignition coils, and a starter. BMW technicians told me this things is draining all the power out of my car. So I went to my service center and he told me,"That's just how it's wired and the device is working fine. Whatever is wrong it's with my car."
My car is a 2013 320i. I've had it for 4 years and not once have I had any issues. Always kept up with my maintenance, and car has always started up fine in the past. Even after taking it to BMW the only thing they saw wrong is the power being drained from my car. I've lost my job because my car wouldn't start up. This company is horrible. This device will ruin your car. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.
This is a scam. I had to sign a year lease to get my truck to run. They held my truck hostage. They also promised to refund my installation fee which they didn't. They don't answer the phone once they know your phone number. I requested THREE CALLBACKS and they never return the call. They also request all kinds of personnal info (arrest case number, BAC etc) before they'll give you a price quote. They lie about the price and don't tell you about added costs. I'm filing a complaint with the WA State Attorney General. If you have the same problems I suggest you do the same in your state.
There is also a phony website called Trustpilot obviously run by them that gives themselves almost all 5 star reviews. Should be time for a class action lawsuit.
If you must have a device installed do not use this money grabbing company! At every turn you will be iel Hrcharged for lockouts and calibration fees! The customer service is crap, very unprofessional and they speak to you ina very discourteous manner. If you have to pay the least you should be treated like a fee paying customer. There are other companies out there. Take your business elsewhere.

Zaps battery. I had to pay tow bill and for new battery. I was also charged 75.00 service fee because it ruined my battery and had to be towed. It is not an easy device to use. I am looking into switching companies.
They prey upon your situation. Not once did I drink and drive but received 7 or 8 violations. Which cost $105 each once you go to deal with the lock out. They have faulty equipment and is the greatest side hustle I have ever seen. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAQUE! They are a blood sucking leach attached to your bank account.
This is one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. First they tried not to honor the coupon I had and now every time i try to download a copy of the lease it says "PDF failed to load" I've had the lease emailed to me, tried to download it from the website on my computer, and tried to get it from the intoxalock app on my phone. There is a problem with the document on every device, and every application i try to open it on. I tried just uploading it to the DMV directly and it gave an error saying there was a problem with the document. Intoxalock will not accept that the problem is with their document and they keep saying the problem is mine. Theres no way I can request my interlock license now because of this horrible company. Trying to get support for this has been a nightmare. They just keep putting me back on hold over and over
What a joke. Money grubbing pigs. Very prompt to take your money. Service sucks. Not the service center but the support from Intoxalock. I have been sitting here waiting for Intoxalock support to help the service center to get intoxalots calibration equipment to caiibrate their device that I'm required to pay to keep calibrated. 2 hrs and counting. I pay $100/month. I want $100 service. Keeping the mouth piece in is another unsafe problem. Freeway speeds, time to blow and the mouth piece falls out to the floor of the vehicle. Not very safe. Not sure about percentages that experience this, but I get very light headed while blowing. I do not get light headed at. 05 BAC, in which case Utah chooses to convict people for being intoxicated. Another bunch of money grubbing Mormon pigs. Separation from church and state my $#*!.
Frequent lockouts, that are the fault of device. Difficult if not impossible to contact customer service. Numerous hidden fees that are difficult to challenge.
Use something else. Anything else.
Current customer, would love to cancel and switch.
Answer: Legit company but they have shady business practices. Very dishonest
Answer: Sale man was very pushy and I was very panicked about loosing my license. He kept calling me after I told him I would give him a call back. No one in this company wants to help you, avoid them.
Answer: As far and I am concerned any of the other 4 State approved interlock companies would have been a step up.
Answer: No. They suck. They're parasites. They're not even very good at that. They're really more battery police than making sure people don't drive drunk. They also forgot that the people with their device are the paying customers. If you are bad to those that pay your bills, they're going to stop paying you.
Answer: Must get a court release once you have the new one in place
