My name is Lindsey Hartman, I'm out of Cheyenne. Called for a solid month to report my car was still being worked on after my sons accident. It's still not fixed and the demand I tow it to a place 45 miles from me to do the calibration. Why am I just leavening this? I have had the run around with this company and have been charged for things that I shouldn't have which I called and had it corrected however upon closing my account I reached out to them to close it months ago when I got my license back and to no avail. They have bills that don't add up and or are just put on just because. I have been told that I was able to close my account at $140 and now I'm getting a bill for $275 and I'm blown away. I've been on hold now for 45 minutes and the time before that it was almost an hour. You reach people that shuffle you back and forth. If you read this do not put yourself through this chaos …. It's not worth your sanity or bank!
I have had so many issues with this company and the customer service is horrible. First, I haven't had a drop of alcohol in 7 years nor a license and I got my DUI in 2014! The state required me to have one of these because of the money grab they get. I have had the device glitch several times where it then put me in Lock Out where I was stranded and I had to not only pay $75 several times for this but pay for the towing of my vehicle to get a new device. After telling them several times the device was making odd noises and causing lock outs for improper starts they ignored me and didnt initiate an inspection or replacement ( because guilty until proven innocent) I am now locked out of my truck for 5 days until they can do a mobil re-installation that I have to pay for before they will reimburse me. They will not cover a rental even though it has been their faulty equipment. Another thing, this device requires you to blow every 5 to 45 minutes while driving which is a huge distraction especially when you are in busy traffic. There have already been reports of people passing out because this device requires a lot of air and then these people have driven into oncoming traffic and died. It was responsible for a minor accident in my case. There is no logical reason to have people distracted giving samples while driving... I can undertand when you start and exit the vehicle. It takes pictures of you every time! What is the purpose!? This company has cost me thousands and they are highly unprofessional and their customer service is out of India and they do not even have a way to contact anyone for complaints. Stay away. This company needs to be out of business period.
When you call in to get service, your call is answered on the drop of a dime. Once they have collected your money it is IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone to help. The paperwork that was sent to the service center was incorrect. I spent 8 hours at the DMV just to be told that the paperwork was all wrong. I finally was able to get someone on the phone and was told that the paperwork would be corrected and sent out via overnight mail. This was last Friday and here were are a week later and still NO paperwork. Anyone else with this problem? I contacted the DMV to complain and was told to contact the Bureau of Automotive Repair to file a formal complaint. The customer service here is RIDICULOUS! My son has not been able to drive and has not been able to get to work. Anyone else needing to file a complaint BAR.CA.GOV
Mailed back my home unit, got a charge for 1700 on my credit card. Called and spoke with them stated they received the unit and that I would get a refund in 3 to 5 business days, still no refund called back 2 more times states be patient refund coming, then still no refund called abc was told they didn't receive the unit. Spoke with the "specialty unit" states that they did not receive the whole unit, received everything but the relay. And maybe ups damaged box and repackaged! Horrible horrible DO NOT USE THEM THEY LIE AND STEAL YOUR MONEY
DO NOT USE INTOXALOCK! Biggest rip off ever. I was with lifsafer but most centers closed where I was at. Paid 150 for an install. INTOXALOCK is charging you the install, a lease payment, and a biweekly charge of 53 dollars on top of the shop service fee of 40 every time u go in... doesn't matter if u have a defective device or if your battery goes dead or gets unhooked once. Got charged 40 dollar shop fee for unhooking my battery once with a 30 dollar waiver on the interlock side. 48hrs later I get the same lockout reading which now their asking for 70 dollars to reset again even though it's device issues. Supposedly if the device gets too hot in ur car I won't register your breath temperature correctly causing a lockout. So if you live anywhere that gets over 80 degrees then please take my advice and never choose INTOXALOCK. WE PAY TO HAVE A DEVICE THAT IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL WITHOUT ISSUES... THEY CAN'T KEEP THEIR END OF THE DEAL BY BEING A RELIABLE COMPANY WITH A WORKING INTERLOCK DEVICE. COMPANY DOESN'T WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT EITHER. $#*! Intoxalock shut my car. Turns out it was bad device. A week has gone by with missed work and hours on phone with them still no truck and they have consistently tried to say it was my fault. Continued to say i have to jump thu hoops that I've already been thru, and even made up excuses that I know are made up. I finally talk to manager today and he was 100% no help at all. Still n0 vehicle!

Intoxalock charges $75.00 for any and all issues acquired during the time you have their device. They are preying on their consumers. If I had another option I would surely drop them in a heartbeat. I blew into my device after 5 min of using mouthwash and didn't try to start the vehicle. Yep….a $75.00 fee. What a joke and little gig they have going.
I had the intoxalock device for a year with many issues as far as customer service and over charges. I was successful done last year but turns out I was still getting charged for roadside assistance. I had no idea for about 8 months. When I finally realized I gave them a call and was told that I would get reimbursed within 5 days. Waited 10 days and nothing. Decided to call back today just to be told that I needed to wait and call back on the 26th of this month to get this resolved as it was on qued. At this point and 20 minutes later being placed on hold I asked for a manager, customer service representative told me that the manager could not do anything and it was pointless to speak to them. To just call back AGAIN on the 26th to see if it could be resolved. That would be 3 times I have to call about the same issue, and mistake on their end, not mine. Have paid my dues and then some. Don't think it is okay in any shape or form to keep on taking time out of my busy time to call a service I should have been done with 8 months ago. I wasn't even given the option of speaking to a manager and I asked 3 times. This is not how you handle business or treat people.
The device kills battery and messes with computer making the car not run properly, very poor service and communication
The device drained my car battery. I called them to let them know and they said it would be taken care of. But after we hung up, they hit me with a violation and a lockout anyway. I WILL be in contact with my lawyer. They also rejected court ordered documents for payment for the device and still charge me every two weeks. F*ck this place. Oh and don't bother pressing 1 for English. You still won't get anybody who speaks it.

It's a money scam and they use "state requirements" as their "justification". So the state wants you to take additional money with no explanation from paying customers? Great business model. I was given a lockout when no where near my car, and one recently because I used mouthwash before using device and charged 80 dollars both times. There's a camera installed in my vehicle but they certainly won't use it to your advantage. This company could care less about you and will charge you unreasonable fees for every little thing. Awful company, DO NOT use their services or you'll regret it. Go with any other company. I can't wait to have this god awful money sucking device removed from my car. Go $#*! yourselves intoxilock.

No one here knows how to do their jobs. You'll fight them for a month after you've finished your required time trying to get it removed. They will nickle and dime you for anything that goes wrong. Dead battery? That's $75. Replaced your battery? That's another $75. Want to have it removed? Call back in 3-4 days, repeatedly.
Worst experience with any company ever.
We voluntarily installed a unit in my husbands vehicle. It has been nothing but problems with random readings from 0-0.7. Apparently anything but plain water sets it off. Pizza, mouthwash, chapstick, hand sanitizer, diesel fuel, you get the picture.
Once you get the unit installed you will find a total change in the way you are treated. Their customer service staff is extremely rude. They treat you like you are a criminal and insinuate that only alcohol has set it off. Fortunately, this was a voluntary installation, so we are trying to figure out exactly what is wrong that he keeps getting random elevated readings.
What one representative says will be the total opposite of what the next one says. At one point in time I had a representative laughing at me when I was trying to let her know if my frustration and trying to troubleshoot why the unit keeps Giving anything above zero. Getting a replacement handheld to see if this one is defective, is like an act of getting Congress to pass a law.
Trying to get a hold of a supervisor to troubleshoot and also to discuss a billing problem is another matter. I think they call this the bait and switch! What they quoted from the inquiry to the actual billing amount but they are deducting every two weeks is different. They tack on extra charges that you did not agree to, tell you they will review the phone conversations, and weeks later they still "reviewing it". That don't call you back, you always have to call them and speak to the next agent, and then have to go through the whole story AGAIN, because they don't review the notes from the previous conversations.
They advised us not to sign a lease while it was being reviewed, however, they said we may experience problems with the handheld because of it. At least on this point they got it correct…It has been nothing but problems.

They've owed me close to $450 for over a month now & keep telling me they'll credit it back to my card on file; they've intentionally waited until I had the devise removed, then closed my account & now won't give my money back. Customer service is awful, fees are awful, all around a horrible company. If you have to get an IID, go with Smart Start...they're a great company to deal with & they don't rip you off.
Interlock is nothing but a huge money game. They do not care about the people that have them. In fact I believe they intentionally take longer to process things so you end up having to pay more. My car has been in the shop for over a month now. Because of issues they are pretty sure was caused by having the device put in my car. Don't really know yet since they just got permission from Interlock to work on it. Even though week one I did all the paperwork that was asked of me so they me to so that the shop could get the override code. Then since I was going to miss my calibration appointment they wanted to give me a violation. Even though I started two weeks before trying to get it changed. That was two weeks ago now and I still don't know if I got it taken care of. Now my car is in the back of the shop waiting to be worked on still. The people are not helpful or even friendly and that's if they do actually answer. Horrible Horrible company
I have been requesting my $165 refund since February. Prior to yesterday I made two phone calls, after that I was unable to get through on the phone line I have sent two or three chat messages 4 emails and a text. Yesterday I finally got through on the phone lines. I was assured my refund would be processed that day and I would receive a confirmation email. The only email I received was a cancellation of my roadside which is what I got from every request by email. I called again today and now it's going to be up to 72 hours for that confirmation email for the refund even be processed this company is nothing but a bunch of thieves and I don't understand how the states that regulate this continue to allow this behavior I will be reporting them to my state and encouraged anyone else to do so.
