If you have 2 email address do not use them. They send coupons to one with 15.00 off and they send your receipt to the other one so they don't have to give you the 15.00. When you call them they come up with you used a different email. It's a scam to get you to shop.
I have used Insta cart every Sunday for the past 5 months for my groceries. Today my order was cancelled because the driver could not find my house. I responded to the driver giving my address once again. She did not respond and cancelled my order. Insta cart then still charged my card and did not offer for another driver to come out. I was told I would get a refund in 7 to 10 business days. So I am out groceries and money. I call this stealing from someone. I have 3 children to feed and no groceries. You all should offer another driver if someone can not do their job.
Don't just take my money and say sorry.
We are the middle of a pandemic and
People are laid off! You all should be ashamed of yourselves! Do better and take care of your customers.
Don't use Instacart. When they deliver to the wrong house they won't redeliver it and they'll offer to refund your money in 5-10 business days. Their customer service is completely useless and they will tell you over and over that it is unfortunate. Then they will offer you a $20 credit. Even when speaking to a supervisor they will tell you it's unfortunate and offer you another $20 refund. It's kind of funny the 67 other times I've used Instacart they have found my house just fine. I spent my weekly grocery budget on this Instacart order. This is bad business and now I have to figure out what I'm going to do for grocery money this week.
I don't know why so many people here are complaining. I've used Instacart numerous times in both Ohio and now PA and out of maybe 50 deliveries I've had one bad shopper. Instacart is a luxury service people. The shoppers get paid very little so if you want a high-rated quality shopper, pay at least 15% tip or don't complain if you get a bad shopper while you tip so poorly. If you have lots of items, pay 20%. Communicate with your shoppers via the chat function. Leave detailed comments for them and pick substitutes. This really isn't rocket science people. If you don't want to pay a nice tip plus service fees and higher food prices then drive yourself to the store and do it yourself. It really is that easy. I love Instacart and 99% of my shoppers have been amazing. Even when I've had to deal with customer service (rare because you can find a lot of help online on the app) it has been smooth. Even my 76 year old dad is using Instacart now. It's a luxury service people, don't use it if you are going to complain about the prices, fees and tips!
They deactivated my account. This was their error and they won't fix it. So ridiculous and horrible!
Placed my order at 3 pm to have my food delivered by 7. Nobody called, nobody picked my order up and it took three representatives to get my money back. Will never use them again! Then asked for a manager and the representative put me on hold for 5 mins only to come back on as herself like I am an idiot. Stupid people run it, so stupid people are employed there.
They refused to update my account the phone number and the location where I instacart at changed they refuse to update my information then they told me to uninstall the app and try again and now I'm not allowed to do instacart due to the fact I can't have more than one account even though that's what they told me to do the worst platform you can work for the people don't even understand English who you call worst customer service ever if I could get it zero Stars I would
Quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. I had a fairly small problem that should have been an easy fix and the customer service was completely incompetent, rude and unhelpful. I ended up closing my account not even because of the initial problem but because of just how terribly I was treated and how horrible their service was. Also note that the will keep all your private personal information forever. Once they have it they will never fully delete you from their system.
They need competitors in Canada ( especially AB) to fix their issues! Poor, slow, dependent, and dishonest!
I have had constant problems from my groceries being delivered to other houses, wrong items, thawed froze items and today was the last straw when the did not charge my EBT account but my debit card for the entire amount. Now I cannot pay my household bills. I called customer service and they said the would fix everything. They lied. They said a supervisor would call. They didn't. I researched online and found that this is a common Instacart tactic. I filed a report with the BBB and have disputed the charge with my bank which I NEVER do. Instacart is a complete scam!
This is a total rip off,
They enslave the shoppers so badly that and decent shopper doesn't exist in Instacart more then 6 months, the pay for shoppers is measly and yet they charge the cistomer between 20-25% more then Costco direct.
I had been on both sides of the Instacart both as a shopper Amd a
Cistomer. It sucks. They need a big competition like Uber Lyft. I don't k ow why those people have a monopoly. It's a cistomer always right policy regardless. The rating system Amd batch allocation sucks. There's no consistency.
It's slave labor
Formthe shopers which results I'm bad cistomer service. They don't have any cistomer service whatsoever. Most you can do is text change with a stupid Indian bot. So it's a bot To bot service.
Not designed for human beings. I would rate them as a negative 10 star. Thai company will not exist for too long the way they behave. They don't have any himan respect or dignity whatsoever, bad cold blooded vicious people, the entire personnel
Is trained that way. They'll say nicely I'm sorry but I can't help etc. In other words drop dead Amd give no $#*! whatsoever, that's the overall experience Amd attitude that they all have across the board
I signed up to work for instacart. The entire thing is horrible. First off, they don't even have a phone number to call during emergencies. I had one while shopping an order and being new spent 15 minutes alone trying to figure out how to get in touch with support. You have to click a bunch of their FAQ articles until it finally gives an option to text support thru the app. I spent 45 minutes texting support. Not exaggerating literally almost an hour for a simple fix. They didn't help AT all. So I had to cancel the order. The app itself constantly crashes and it's impossible to find where to locate items in store because they don't give you the aisle number. It's VERY difficult to communicate with the customer cuz of the buggy app. They overcharge customers and underpay the shoppers. I can make the same $ on door dash spending way less time or spend the same time and make much much more $ using Shipt. This company is not profitable and I don't foresee it lasting too long. They have a lot of work to do, too many problems and glitches.
YOUR FOOD PURCHASE THROUGH INSTACART WILL COST YOU 40 TO 50 % MORE THAN YOUR OWN DIRECT PURCHASE FROM SAME STORE AND SAME MERCHANDISE.
THEY DO DOUBLE DIPPING FIRST BY RAISING THE PRICE FOR EACH ITEM AND THAN ADDING ALL THE DELIVERY CHARGES. WHICH MAKES IT EXORBITANT.WE USE THEM BECAUSE FIRST THEY HAVE A MONOPOLY ON HOME DELIVERY SECOND BECAUSE WE ARE HANDICAPPED SENIORS AND ADDING TO THAT THE COVID SCARE.
I've LOVED using Instacart and recommended it to all of my friends until today. My groceries were guaranteed to be delivered today by 8pm and as the shopper was checking out "an issue occurred" and she abandoned my order- being obligated to wait for the "next available shopper" which wouldn't deliver the groceries to cook my family dinner until 9:45. I prayed about it and calmed down, patiently waiting- at 9:39 I got an email stating my order was rescheduled until the next day at 1pm. RIDICULOUS!
I had to drive and buy fast food for my family's dinner. Completely dissatisfied, inconvenienced and confused about why a shopper abandones an order after check out?
UPDATE: FOOD LION REFUNDED DAMAGEWD/SPOILED PRODUCTS. A Food Lion Manager called this morning "after researching" her options... and has determined that FOOD LION wants to provide a remedy for the delivery problem we had. She has refunded the amount of delivery charges, the tip, and the amount we paid to replace the damaged products. Food Lion is only 3 miles from us, has always been our "go to" store along with Walmart and Lowe's Food depending on where we were when we needed groceries. We appreciate FL fixing an INSTACART deficiency.
We placed an on-line order Sunday, August 29,2001 at 12:56 pm. The order was delivered at 3:50 pm, left at a side door rarely used, on concrete, in 94 degree weather. The order included a gallon of milk, a dozen and a half eggs, an 18 oz bag of Romaine Hearts, and three packs of Ken's Steak house Dressing Buttermilk. The delivery driver, "Larrys" did not bother to knock, ring the door bell, or in any way let us know the groceries were outside in the heat. Our Amazon Prime driver notified us that groceries were sitting outside at 5:09 pm. The groceries were unsafe to use after sitting in the hot sun on concrete for 1.5 hours. After calling the store we were told to "return the products affected and the problem would be taken care of". Today, a Food Lion customer service manager refused to replace or reimburse for the damaged products. They referred us to a 3rd party, "INSTACART" for any restitution. Instacart does not answer the number we were given, we can only leave voice mail or text messages. Upon returning the milk, eggs, dressing, etc. to the store, they required that we REPURCHASE the items. WE WILL NOT BE USING INSTACART IN THE FUTURE. Submitted by G. Frederick, Clayton, NC
Order placed Aug 29,2021, 1:46 PM Items 10 Total $35.10
The shopper I had today did not communicate to me that 2 out of the 3 items I ordered were not available. After adding fees on, I paid $12 for the cream! He should have notified me, and I would have cancelled order. Instatcart waived my deliver fee on my next purchase. So I only paid $8 for the $4 carton of cream. Rip off.
Is anyone interested in filing a class action law suit against the Instacart Company in order to recoup our money they've taken without authorization, or overcharged?
Reading these reviews. "Oh it refunds items and replaces with more expensive... " it literally asks you to approve every change there is. Sometimes stores are out of $#*!. My God the entitlement XD and one review said they reported it as fraud to the bank which is a felony. XD. Also someone literally complained that they had to pay more for this service... uh duh... you think they do it for free? Tf? I have good and bad days and instacart is a life saver and easy to use. A
Instacart needs to up their game in order to have a great relationship with their customers and their shoppers. This is how you treat people you reap what you sow
They over charge and under perform! When using Instacart prepare yourself to be taken advantage of as a consumer. If you have people you care about that have use this service I guarantee you will get up and give them a ride to the grocery store or go get their items for them if you knew how instacart is taking advantage of consumers. They canceled my order due to their inability to deliver and didn't return my money to my card until a week later. My order never left the store. I felt victimized. Suppose that was all the money I had for food for the week? I would've had to wait another week just to eat.
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!
Answer: Seriously? They have already scientifically proven that is not spread that way. How many strangers & kids and semi drivers and warehouse people touch your stuff before it even leaves the store.
Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
