Ruined Birthday!

I tried Instacart for the first time because my son was at college and we could not be together. I ordered the making for a steak dinner and included a Birthday cake, all from Kroger. The delivery consisted of corn and milk. The main ingredients of the order the shopper claimed were out of stock. When I called to try to resolve the issue I was told it was my own fault, when I rated the service I was given free shipping on a service I will NEVER use again! I have emailed and tried to contact anyone who could help me, I asked the customer service rep for their supervisor and was told they would call me back. They never did. Worst experience ever!

I don't understand any complaints. I found this site looking for a boxfan for my cousin. I'm in Boston, she's in Ohio. AMAZ@N was sold out. I could see the girls pic & info, she shopped, then it told me she left cvs, and delivered early! I left her a FAT TIP bc I work in the service industry and we have to put up with a lot if rude and demanding ppl daily. These ppl work hard & were so fast.! I don't believe anyone is stealing - it's not worth losing a job over. I was NOT OVERcharged anything but the original cost & delivery fee which the driver doesn't get, I'm sure. But who cares-! Look what you get! IMMEDIATE SERVICE! PEOPLE EXPECT TOO MUCH. If it's too much $$ for you, go shopping yourself. I think the service is great!

A waste of shopping

Instacart is such A demeaning job. This company doesn't respect their employees and only goes based off 'hear-say'. They'll want you to travel afar just to pursaue their, already established company- to follow suite. Instacart will knock your suggested tip amount, after you finish, to hide the fact- they're missing half of the items requested!

Horrible! Horrible! Stay away! Terrible customer service. Original order was supposed to arrive between 7pm and 9pm. By midnight, still nothing….

Called in and had to wait over an hour on hold. Delivery time continued to grow while on hold. Who knows when it actually would have arrived had I not cancelled.

After reaching a manager I was offered all of a $10 credit! Lol order was roughly $650 and for all that time a $10 credit! Promptly cancelled my order and subscription. Not worth a persons time. When you look into it, you find an overwhelming amount of negative reviews. Well add one more to the list! Will never use again and tell everyone I can to stay away! At time of cancel, order was being quoted for 2 am delivery!

Who stays up till 2 am for a grocery delivery, let alone on a weekday! Manager confirmed they would have just continued to push the order by half hour windows as no shoppers were going to be assigned till 11am the following day. Ridiculous!

One year of mistakes

I subscribed to Kroger's $79 plan for one year of deliveries. I finished the year but had problems with Instacart the whole time. The biggest problem was the substitutions. Even though I clearly indicated on each order that I did not want substitutes, I got them anyway and they were always unsuitable. The final straw came on the last order when they brought a bag of wilted lettuce on its expiration day. That did it. I switched to Walmart and Amazon Fresh and have good luck with their deliveries. Walmart has a system whereby they correct each mistake immediately.

I was in communication with the driver or the shop or the whole time until he said he delivered the food and there was nothing on my doorstep. What a piece of crap this was an a waste of time. My husband and I both have Covid and I really needed my food. I called the company and they reimbursed my money but this is just ridiculous. Shame on the grocery store for leading me to this company. I will put a nice review in for them as well. Never again don't do it!

Zero star for them

This is worst online grocery experience.
Actual price and price on their website are different. And the shopper asked every single replacement via text and I have to answered those questions entire shopping period. Also shopper told me one of my product is $8 sth even took photo of it. Only reason I accepted the replacement was the price was reasonable. But it was charged in more than $10. Avocado were only $3 sth and they charged me $7 sth. The shopper showed me the original receipt and the subtotal is different than what I can see on the website. And they are not allow to give you original receipt they got from Loblaws. Plus service fee plus delivery fee plus taxes of those and extra tip for shopper! You will spend at least $20 more than what you actually need to pay. Better to go to grocery shopping myself and take uber instead. Learn from UK grocery market delivery service. I've never had an issue like this and they have better customer service. I sent an email to instacart, they won't give you the difference back.

Have been using this service in North Shore area of eastern Massachusetts about once a month. Has been a godsend during the pandemic.

Shoppers have been consistently good in our area. Today we had Alcindo S., who was amazing -- timely, polite, super communicative via text (before, during, after shopping). Actually read my detailed preferences for each item (great Instacart feature) and posted photos of suggested substitutions before making switches. Let us know exactly when he'd be arriving and in fact arrived exactly on time. Felt badly when my finger slipped and mistakenly chose rating of only 3 instead of max 5 -- cannot correct once entered -- so increasing his tip afterwards (another nice Instacart feature) and posting this review was my way of apologizing and thanking him.

Overall a terrific service!

They trick you on your first order making you think you are getting free delivery but the prices are much higher than in in the grocery store. Not really free delivery. My delivery time was supposed to be at 6:30, it came at 8:30. Instead of an apple pie I got a one serving size cherry pie. Called customer service and they said they would give me $1.37 refund for my pie. Needless to say I came unglued. At this point I have taken other action. This delivery service is horrible! Stay tuned. I hope this website shares this comment to Instacart.

I've tried them twice now and both times my card was charged but I never received the items purchased. First from Costco and then from Publix. The first time they delivered me product the next day that had sat in someone's refrigerator over night. This second time, no delivery was received... now it will take 5 to 10 business days for a refund. Funny it only took 5 to 10 minutes to charge my card. Let's see if they honor their word by giving me a refund. What a scam!

For TWO orders in a row: groceries NOT DELIVERED TO MY HOME. The 1st time, Instacart did the correct thing and comped the order. The 2nd time, I was insulted with a $10 credit. I will now put my business with EGrocer or some other company. Shame on this Manager. I will post on Twitter, FB and Yelp. No one should receive such service. Like giving a cookie when the dinner was inedible.

I placed an order with Instacart and bought some groceries online at Publix. Never received the delivery, so I reached out to them to request a full refund. The photo the shopper took isn't even my house! After all of this, my account was deactivated wrongfully and they won't reactivate it, nor refund me the $101.44. That isn't right!

I ordered $26 in groceries plus a $3 tip, but when I got my receipt there was a $7.99 delivery plus a $3 service fee that was not in my shopping cart and not disclosed. Horrible!

I tried a few months ago to register to drive for them. I made a simple mistake on my phone number and tried to correct it so I can complete my application but after dozens of times trying to correct it and get in touch with customer service, there is absolutely no resolution. They just send out automated advice that doesn't get you anywhere. How can such a large company be this useless and not staff real people to help with problems. I know that if I did become a driver and needed assistance, I would be up $#*!z creek trying to be in touch with them. Judging by other reviews stay away!;

I placed an order today 8/9, and I can't believe that 1) fresh basil is out of stock and then she automatically replaced my favorite frozen food w/something that I did not request but said I did; I don't know if they can go in themselves to change the item but IT WASN'T ME. I canceled the order and am still reeling and livid.

Once again I had an issue, this time I never received my order at all and they swear it was delivered. Normally I get other peoples stuff and only some of mine. Sometimes when they substitute they charge me and don't include the item, not sure how that works. I also paid for a years membership and every time I place an order I have to go back to them to credit the delivery fee, $9.95 each. I'm sure some people don't notice which is free money to them. Their shoppers should be treating our orders as if they are our own and they just don't care. In the last, almost 6 months, I had one, yep, one order that was correct. Now when I reach out they are short and rude, as if it's my fault my order keeps getting messed up. I would avoid this company at all costs, there are other ways to get your groceries delivered without all the stress that comes with this company.

COMPLETE RIP OFF!

In the last month they left 2 paper receipts with my groceries that was approximately 40 percent LESS than what they charged my credit card. I called instacart and they said the shopper was not supposed to leave a receipt with my groceries. Now I know why. They are ripping people off big time! One store receipt was for $110 and they charged $175! Never using them again. Doing on line pick up at the store.

Horrible

As a customer service manager I have found this company to be extremely rude! I work in a popular and busy store where this service is used and on a daily basis these people are disrespectful to the people who work in the store! The people who represent this service are constantly sticking their phone in our faces and demanding we find items for them! We are called incompetent! The incompetency comes from these people who are paid to shop for other people so do your job and stop making our jobs a living hell! This is why me and my coworkers will never use this service! How about train your representatives to learn how to shop and use common courtesy and manners! The service this company provides in beyond horrible and so are the employee again we are willing to help you find items but don't be rude to those who try to help

Bad beyond comprehension.The first delivery came 2 hours earlier than expected. I wasn't ready so it was cancelled. The final delivery is missing 80% of the items including 2% reduced milk.
What are the chances that Walmart would be out if 2%reduced milk.
