Customer service was excellent.
I expected more editing ability---edited tapes are chunky between takes. I could not get them to meld smoothly...and my downloads do not automatically splice together.
Highly recommend for tapes that do not need editing, though.
When my son and I found out what imemories could do to restore my viewing of my old movie film I decided to go ahead. We are glad we did. My grandchildren can see their great great grandparents as well as other distant relatives. They are getting to see their grandma water ski.
Registered for an account a week later received the packing material to mail my videotapes. Within 10 days I had digital videos of the tapes. Then about two weeks later I received all my tapes back securely packaged.
I've been putting off transferring mini-VHS and mini-CDs to digital, partially because of the cost, but also because I had them all around the house. I knew the process could be costly due to the large number of items to transferred, but LOVED that a 50% off coupon was included with the ordering of the box that cut my costs in half! My family is having a lot of fun reviewing the memories we recorded up to 25 years ago. Thank you iMemories for bringing our memories to life again!

IMemories helped my mom's home videos, from when she was a little girl, come to life again. We were able to give her the best birthday present, by allowing her to see videos of her parents, who have both been gone for over 20 years. Our whole family was able to see videos we've never seen before. It was truly a magical moment and it's all thanks to iMemories! I was hesitant to send our reels off, but they came back in the same condition we sent them in, and they also came back quickly. I was also blown away by how quickly our order was processed. We recently downsized in homes and every space is needed. We have 36 boxes of slides =3600 slides, we need the space. Also we live in Arizona now and noticed the closet was very hot (added insulation now), so concern about quality. I have been sending out several at a time and we enjoy watching them on our TV. The 50% coupons are the way to go and are always available. I also like that I can take the slides to my local Walgreens for pick up by Federal Express. Thank you.

Alert-there are many hidden costs; they do not store your images after they convert- you have to pay $7.99 monthly/or $60 yearly fee. That seems very expensive to me. You will also pay $35 ish dollars to have anything you send them returned. I sent off 19 VHS/Beta tapes for conversion. They communicate well receiving and when they will be returned. The reason for 3 star vs 5 star review is the entire process was much more expensive then i expected. With the continual 50% off, i still paid almost $300 for the tapes. Then paid an additional $80ish for having them put on a USB, + $20 Shipping. I make photo books, cards etc on several different APP's and not one of them has ever charged me to store my imaging.
Bottom line- they do a good job but the hidden costs will keep me from using them in the future.

Very good conversion of very old films~1920's-1950's. Would love cleaner versions but old film is old film and subject to deterioration. Would recommend the program for your history albeit somewhat expensive yet potentially priceless!

It was a good experience. We kept putting it off, thinking it would take a lot of time to get all of our videos sent. We were also concerned about losing videos through the mail. IMemories, made the process very easy and they track your videos well. I wish we would have done this sooner.
I sent tons of tapes into IMemories and the experience has been great! The box to send the tapes in is sturdy and comes with protective bags and bubble wrap. You can track your order to see where it is along the way. They confirm when they receive and start to upload as well! It has been a wonderful trip down memory lane, and seeing and hearing my sister on these tapes as she passed almost 25 years ago! Warms your heart and wonderful to share with her now adult children and grandchildren! Thanks so much!

You can also purchase customized DVDs/USBdrives(s) and/or download and save to your own computers and devices which is no charge. All of this information as well as the return shipping fes are listed on our website, in the Starter Guide that is included with your Safeship Kit and online when you select how to process your order and make payment. The return shipping is a flat rate based on the number of items being returned in order to keep the FedEx rates as low as possible.
