I am very satisfied with my experience with iMemories! Whenever I had questions, which was about 4 or 5 times, I called and was greeted with friendliness and willingness to help by the iMemories staff. They answered my questions and even helped me by looking at the same screen on my computer! At first, I was embarrassed about being so computer illiterate, but your staff made me feel at ease, even when I had made a mistake and they had to help me fix it. Great service! I loved the format of the videos. I would highly recommend this company. Just a side note: only send in the pictures that are important to you. The cost is not cheap, so only send pics or videos you want to view frequently or pass on to family. It's also great to share your iMemories with your children and ex-spouse.

Four out of our six tapes had been previously used and recorded over which makes the conversion more difficult. However, at no additional charge, IMemories redid the 4 at no extra charge but with special attention to getting the quality better. I am pleased with the quality and also with the customer care.

I was under the impression our tapes would be enhanced, the quality improved and put on something to have for a lifetime... the quality is poor and its on an icloud. Okay, well I am not very computer savvy so this does not really help me that much. A lot of money spent for nothing! Oh and I have to pay $50/month to maintain use of my videos to be able to view and share? Makes no sense to me!

Had a lifetime of videos converted to digital. Everything was perfect, quick, efficient. Quick return of originals. Courteous customer service. Now paying for storage with imemories for the convenience. Very reasonable fees.

The whole process went smoothly, however one of my VHS tapes was not converted. No explanation was given. And I was still charged for it.

I have been very pleased with iMemories services. They notified me when my last order was received, returned my old video tapes in perfect condition. The memories are now available for me to view and transfer to DVDs. Totally satisfied.

Thanks to imemories, my family was able to see our old 8mm videos from 20+ years ago for the first time in at least 15 years. Very professional and friendly. They really back up what they promise.

I sent 65 video 8 tapes to iMemories and I chose to download the converted digital files. The way that works is you send them from a VIEWING page to a DOWNLOAD page and from that DOWNLOAD page you download each tape as a compressed file. Once they are downloaded you can extract them to better view the files. You can also have them put the files on the "Cloud", disc or USB. If you do as many tapes as I did, I will tell you it gets a little confusing because you can only Send a few files from the VIEWING PAGE to the DOWNLOAD PAGE at a time. I had a slightly difficult time keeping track of which files I had moved to the DOWNLOAD page. And then, when you go to DOWNLOAD them onto your computer you can only download a few at a time. So other than that being slightly challenging to keep track of all that, it ended up working great. 65 tapes is alot. For what video content there was on those tapes and that varied by tape, it came to over 156 GB so they would only fit on a 256GB USB thumbdrive. I received all tapes back in perfect condition.
Overall, I would highly recommend iMemories. I plan on doing some 8mm film videos in the future.
Last note on the downloaded "compressed" files. My files were so large that I had to go and delete those compressed files once I had done the extraction because between the compressed files and the extracted files it came to over 300GB of used space. You must be very careful to only delete the compressed files.

I sent old reel to reels movies from the the 1950s and 1960s. We had no idea what was on them. They were transferred to digital and we were so thrilled with the quality and ability to share.

I have tried several times but cannot get dvd's onto my computer. Apparently THE ONLY ACCESS I will have is by paying rent for iCloud access. Waste of money
I sent in 5 8mm tapes and received them back. These were from the 1950s and 1960s - my husband and his siblings. Very happy. Last time I sent in 10 tapes and I got a flashdrive with all the media. It's a wonderful service! Thanks.

My kids are hovering around 30 years old now, and seeing these old films of them as children just melted my heart. I wish I converted more tapes; I'm sure to send in more VHS tapes for conversion soon!

There were 13 out of 200 slides that did not get digitized for some reason. I only got 187 digital images. I don't know which ones weren't converted. Also the 20% discount code was not applied. Other than that, the work was great.
My original videos on Mini DV were sharp and clear. The digital conversions are very grainy - not happy at all with the quality. They also charged me for items they couldn't convert due to copyright (old VHS tapes). Then there is the bait and switch where they suddenly want to charge a fee to keep access to the cloud storage. So I downloaded all my videos to my computer and I'm done with iMemories forever. Do not recommend.
I have used iMemories 2x. First time just with photos and 2nd with both photos and video. Im happy with the photos which I had them create from negatives. My hesitation with video was two-fold. 1. I wanted the individual digital files just as they are created on the tapes (Hi8) since they are easier to manage that way in iMovie or other movie software. I called to ask if this is what I would be getting and they assured me I would. But when they came, one tape was in 5-10 larger files, not the original clips. 2. I assumed they would be created in the highest quality since I like to create movies with them and view them on a TV screen. Unfortunately they are not in the quality I expected. When viewing the video on my mac, the window only takes up a small corner of the screen. When I try to enlarge it, the quality is very bad. So they are unusable for what I need them for. They are ok to do quick views on a phone or tablet but not for creating movies and viewing on large screens. Also, there is no option given to request a higher quality so even if you are willing to pay more you cant get them that way. I hope to find a company that can do this as its extremely time-consuming to do it myself.

We had not seen most of it, in any format, since it was first recorded nearly 20 years ago. Now that you have unlocked those memories for us, we can savor them once again.
