Once the memories were on the website, it was a trial to get them ready to download. Although the website stated that they would be ready "almost immediately" it took the first one more than 12 hours to become available. The other six I tried to download, but nothing happened. I tried again a couple days later, and they finally downloaded after a day or so (again, I was choosing the faster option, not the "high quality" option, thinking it would be quick. No such luck) Finally, when the videos were ready to download, I clicked the download button but nothing happened. I had to wait until business hours to call and ask how to actually download. Using Google Chrome was apparently the problem, but there was no note on the site telling Chrome users that it would be a problem, or that they would have to go through a series of interventions to download from Chrome. All in all, I do not recommend this. It was hard to use, and frustrating.
It was an easy process and the 60+ years of memories are si interesting to revisit.
I sent in slides and what I thought were movie film for my mom's birthday. The images of the slides were good but the films ended up being audio tape. I was disappointed that imemories could not make the audio digital. It was easy to access my digital slides and download them onto a USB drive. My mom loved seeing her trip to Germany and slides of her wedding. I have not received my originals back yet so I hope I will be able to figure out what is on those audio reels eventually.
Received my converted videos and am so grateful to iMemories! I can share these videos with people I haven't seen in years with a hyperlink and they can enjoy instantaneously. A lot of the people in my videos are no longer alive so their children are able to see their parents again whenever they want to. Treasured memories for my family and extended families.
We were happy to see these very old films. Our family was delighted to see faces of folks who are long gone from us!
I love my videos. Brought back so many memories. I had videos of my brother who died in a car accident 16 years ago & got to see him again was such a blessing.

You still have my 16 mm, and did not return it with my order. So I think you lost it and this is my greatest fear. Please look for the rest of my order and return it as soon as possible.

I don't like all the online usage. It would have been nice to be able to talk to someone. Everything is digital now, but I don't know how to get these all on DVD.
My old 8mm home videos are fully restored! I hadn't seen these videos in years! Now they're permanently saved for years to come! IMemories did an excellent job and it was very user friendly! Now, my children can watch videos of me when I was a kid! This was one of the best decisions I've ever made! I have already recommended them to my friends!
The experience was very smooth and straightforward. Some of my videos weren't in great shape, which made me sad. But happy to have what I do.

The process of sending them my memories to finally seeing them digitized took a bit of time. However, when I was able to see them, I am happy with the results. I am able to upload them to my computer so that I may watch them when I want. My only concern, is their communication was one email telling me that my videos were ready and that I would get my videos returned in 2-3 weeks, but no notification that they have shipped them back or a way for me to track their return. I would have given more stars had my memories been returned before this review. *** Since this review, I have been contacted by the company and they addressed my concerns. They sent my videos back, along with tracking info. I received all of my videos today!
I found iMemories on an ad and decided to try it out. They were very good in providing me with instructions and packaging to send them the recordings. They kept me updated on the 20 tapes they were processing and sent me the first batch that was completed. The second batch of recordings came a few weeks later and they packaged the originals and mailed it back to me. The price was reasonable for bringing back memories from 30 years ago. I would definitely recommend them for retrieving old recordings.
