My husband is a only child,,,, lost both parents and all grandparents,,, so when I sent in these old films and dvd we found in a box,,, it was absolutely incredible,, my husband got to hear his moms voice and relived his child hood Christmas and birthdays with his family,, it was incredibly emotional! Transferring your original home movies and videos to digital brings back wonderful memories. I have had more than 30 videos converted to digital and have had hours of reliving my kids growing up, vacations, Christmas mornings, etc. Just a worthwhile experience.

I do not find ordering DVDs easy and I cannot reach anyone during the week because their hours of work are too limited and they do not work on weekends when I am free!

I loved the videos, the process, and felt very confident that my memories were in good hands. What I didn't love was the costs associated with storage. I feel like the conversion costs should have covered the storage as well and not been another charge on top of everything.
I have many old tapes from 32 years ago. I was amazed at how they all turned out! So happy to be able to watch all these videos and share with family!
I found some old camcorder tapes I had of my grandchildren from 10 years ago. I sent them all to IMemories and they put each one on a digital disc for me to review. I was so pleased that I ordered 4 cd's so I can share theses with my sons and grandchildren! They will be so surprised to see the memories I captured 10 years ago when they were in grade school. They also returned my originals without incident. I would defintely recommend them!
We are thoroughly enjoying our videos from 30 years earlier that we hadn't seen in many years. And it is extremely convenient to send in old Super 8 and other type of film in the package that is provided. Wait a few weeks and there they are. We then ordered and received a jump drive with all of our video memories stored. Highly recommend it.
Memories I thought were lost to us forever are now back and so easily shareable, just in time for the next generation to get to enjoy them!
Had 10 mini DV tapes converted. Was happy with service and process. After various charges (shipping, conversion, transferred to DVD's), it came out to approximately $22 per tape.

Easy to send videos, sign up receive back. I am very displeased because it was never disclosed that there is a monthly fee to store the videos on some cloud. I've gone back thru all e-mails and can find no mention of this. I feel I've wasted my money as I will not pay a monthly fee just to store videos for future watching.
I cannot say enough about IMemories. I was nervous at first sending so many home movies to a place that I knew nothing about. But when I was able to see them on line, I cried. Seeing my grandparents, parents and so many other family members who are not with us any more. I am so glad that I sent these films in to be put on dvd's or on a cloud. Also I was able to share the movies with family members so if they wanted to order dvd's they could. I have more movies that I am going to be sending out this week and I can't wait to see what are on these home movies!
With my first order more than a year ago, I called ahead and asked if they could transfer optical and magnetic 16mm sound on film. I was told, "Yes." A year later, I sent my reel containing some 50 year-old black and white news film with an optical sound track. It was a sound interview. The video frames were digitized but there was no audio in the file. I emailed customer care and was told their engineers did not find any sound. I observed that was impossible since the audio track was broadcast in 1970. Audio tracks were exposed on the film in the same way as the actual video images. If the video was visible then so would the audio be visible. This is a significant technical failure. They said they would re-check. Haven't heard back after about a month.
Everything went smoothly. VHS tapes got there without problems. It was a pretty quick turn around on getting my digital downloads. Quality of video and audio were better than I expected from tapes from the mid 80s. I will use them again.
