I didn't have my h hope because these movies were over 40 years old but they turned out great. I little dark on the inside views but that was probably how the original movie was
I would give all 5 stars if you had a way to digitize the home movie portions of videos that just happened to get recorded over movies or TV shows that had been recorded. Disappointed that 2 of my videos were not able to be converted. Otherwise, the order was completed very quickly, and I'm happy to have the memories protected.
We sent 10 VHS tapes to be digitized. We were very disappointed that one of our videos had no sound. Thankfully, customer service was good, and that video was fixed. Overall, the quality of the videos was not as high as we had hoped, but that may have been because they were old.
It is so amazing to watch the past come to life. You let me go back to my first childhood home and see my Grandmas and my mom and dad again!
I was very excited to be able to see the movies that I sent to iMemories! The process was very easy and such a joy to receive. I have shared with my family and they have enjoyed it too! I have others to send and will be as excited to receive the results!

I knew I had memories on these vhs tapes I sent in. I just never knew how special these memories would be to 30 plus years later. The first video I opened I cried from beginning to the very end. Imemories you took me back to a place I thought I wanted forgotten, but despite the fact I want to always remember.
My heart is over Joyed. I was able to watch a day that is very dear to me. I shared this experience with my family. My copies were clear and didn't take as long as I thought. My tapes were well protected. Thank you iMemories for making this possible

I had almost given up hope on finding someone who could convert those old movies. Many, many thanks to Stacey and Sierra for answering all my questions on the front end. Your conversions were much quicker than I expected. Looking back, I wish I was better at photography! My shortcomings have been revealed!

Once they received the tapes and payment they were converted very quickly! A couple had a few pixilation issues but they were probably due to the tapes and not the service.
Overall the process was clean, simple, and convenient since I had multiple video formats to convert. However, in reviewing content not all the entire tapes were converted. I was able to borrow an old working camcorder to confirm this given some tapes had breaks in between content. I was able to capture the additional video myself afterwards. If you don't know what you have you may end up missing content. Also the initial shipping box was quite large and the cost associated with it may be a deterrent for some.
I had previously sent 20 sound Super 8 movies to Legacybox to digitize. I did not know (or notice) that my movies would come back with no sound. I was extremely disappointed when I started to watch these memories as they came back silent. I then read some reviews and saw some complimentary reviews about imemories. I called imemories and was told that they absolutely include sound on Super 8 movies. I gave them 1 movie to test that Legacybox had done silently. The movie came back with sound, the digitized film was also a better quality visually. I am happy I found imemories (albeit after spending a lot of money with Legacybox). Prices are about the same but a much better product from imemories. Also, Legacybox took 17 weeks to transfer my films, imemories took 2.
I found a box of old slides from my deceased dad, and the family wanted to convert them so we could all view the photos. I called Imemories and spoke with a very helpful representative who walked me through the steps. I mailed off my precious slides. A couple of weeks later, the entire family was able to view the slides from their home online and people are so happy. Conversations went back-and-forth about our memories. The slides themselves were returned to me shortly there after. I couldn't be happier with Imemories.
