I agree that there are not so many members as other sites but look at the reviews for Match and Eharmony!
I like it on Iloveyouraccent, don't think there are many fakes or at least I have been lucky enough to avoid them. What worries me about new sites is how they have so many members when no one has ever heard of them.
Worth thinking about
Since 25% more people will write a bad review over a good one I am here to be unique.
Took me a while on this site but at last I have found a girl who has made me the happiest man ever.
So far, so good
I am a true Southern Gentleman with values and morals, she is a sweet girl from the Emerald Isle with the cutest accent. Life is good, feel free to ask me anything. Thank you for this opportunity and good luck everyone.
So true, thank you Parker
As a man living in rural N Dakota, I was so excited to find this site. I was optimistic but not expecting too much. However, $50 and 4 months later, this man is happier than I could ever have imagined. Thank you Audrey and Max.
Always great to hear good news. Thank you for letting us know.
Please check you inbox for a message
Decided to give this a go after a few years of being single. After a couple of weeks' great guy reached out to me and we seemed to have clicked. Its early days but I am excited to see where it goes. I live in the US and he lives in Ireland. We would not found each other if not for this web site. Thank you iloveyouraccent.com
OK so I did not meet Prince Charming but I did meet 3 guys from this site when I visited the UK earlier this year. They were all pretty real!
Sometimes you get back what you give out, and as a business owner myself I hate that anyone can leave an anonymous bad review whether true or not, be cool people and say what you have to say and sign your good name to it.
Who really runs here and says hey I love that dating site.? The site out there that masquerades as a higher power finding love for you is the worst for fakes, blame God I guess.
Anyway, that is my input and my name is here for all of you to see. I ain't hiding from nothing just telling it like I see it. Still single but still trying.
I used the site for over a year. Becoming a premium member was well worth it... I met many new friends and had a great time socializing with people I would have ordinarily not have access to. 5 STARS!
Maybe I was lucky, but when I had a problem they sorted it out and were real nice about it and... it was my fault!
Aside from that I have met a man who had turned my wold upside down (in a good way) and people do not usually post a review when things are good but I do, I even write a review if I had a great meal in a restaurant so why not here? I have git my best friend on iloveyouraccent too and fingers crossed she will have the same luck as me.
Happy to email anyone who wants to contact me.
Shannon
I am genuinely surprised at the few bad reviews here I can only assume they were written by miserable people or are my fiancé and I just incredibly fortunate to have met on this site? I write this in the lounge of our vacation together (first, where he proposed)
Neither of us are film/movie stars but we connected on this site 10 months ago, talked online, then Skype and then a meeting six months later.
I could not be happier, my life is about to change in a wonderful way. I wish all good things for everyone using the site and happy 2018.
Happy New year and huge congratulations to you both, thanks so much for taking the time to write a review, we really appreciate it. I have sent you a PM, please respond if you are interested. Happy 2018
The World of dating goes transatlantic. Whether you managed to meet someone or not is not the point though. There are no guarantees when it comes to love and that includes the anglo-American scene. I'm purely rating the ethics of the website here. Am certainly well travelled and have a gut instinct for most things. So I'd say that whilst the majority of conversations initiated were genuine, a few others were clearly fakes trying to lure you into subscriptions. A simple test is to offer a direct form of contact, ie Skpe, email or whatsapp. Some will contact you, others will simply disappear. Its well known that the vast majority of genuine ads will happily trade numbers or email asap. Another well known anglo-American dating site does not suffer from the same problem as this one. However, that aside... there is a decent chance you will certainly get the chance to converse with genuine people. So it gets a reasonable score.
Thanks for your review,
I read all of the reviews and thought I'd do a bit of investigating for a blog I'm writing (plus I'm single and love American accents, win win!). I think the site has loads of potential but unfortunately there aren't many members. What people have to remember is that's is a very niche thing to be looking for so you won't have hundreds of potential matches like on Okcupid etc. it's a shame it isn't more popular as it is could be great. Maybe if it wasn't a chargeable service to message and flirt and they relied on advertising like other sites for revenue they'd be more popular, or giving a few months free or heavily discounted to bolster the numbers a bit in its early stages. It is a great idea and hopefully it will pick up a bit
Hi, we did offer free weekends and free trials but all that attracted were Scammers who email every member and/or direct them to a porn site and what not. We are growing daily and we do our very best to keep dishonest people away, even asking members to alert us to someone they feel is not genuine. We delete anyone found to be causing a problem to our members. Please give us another try sometime.
I've signed up with this website a few times. I've even engaged attractive girls in conversations. I was pretty busy with work when I joined, and I blame myself entirely for not making more of an effort. So, I probably would have kept trying this site off and on until I actually found someone on it.
However, whenever I canceled my account, a disturbing pattern would emerge. I could pay for three months of membership and expect maybe one girl to message me first. I normally had to message them. That's how it is on dating sites. But while my account was canceled, suddenly I was getting all of these messages from attractive girls. The first couple of times this happened, I fell for it, and signed up again. These girls never responded to my reply.
I am convinced that the site attempts to lure you back with fake messages. I think that's wrong. So, I have cut ties with the site, asked for my profile to be deleted and will never sign up again. I will also take every opportunity to post a review like this so other people know. I have a major problem when a company tries to create revenue by lying to or misleading customers, and I refuse to stand by and do nothing about it.
Hi we have no idea who you are, would like to rectify any issues, can you message us directly please?
Similar experience to everyone else really... the company employees are rude and verbally abuse you when you report them to PayPal as being fraudulent. The messages you rarely do receive are dull one liners from I am guessing fake profiles, never any more than 160 people online whatever time of the day or night you log in. Total crap!
It seems impossible to unsubscribe to the website. My emails are constantly ignored. I had 1 reply once and they said they cancelled my subscription; they did not.
I eventually just blocked their future attempts via PayPal AND my bank, and also am pursuing a legal case regarding refunds for the past year.
It's also worth noting that everyone I spoke to contacted me first, and really liked my profile then vanished. They were all unable to hold a conversation, missing most of my questions and forgetting what I had said previously (i. E. asking the same questions).
Their chat rooms are as empty as the wild west.
Terrible customer support (non existent) and bad website design.
Hi Damien
You did not cancel your account, PayPal informed us this morning that you asked them to cancel for you.
At no point did you make us aware of fake profiles
I think it's terrible, because one cannot even read a single message from any of the other hopefuls, without upgrading to a premium membership. How in the world are you supposed to determine whether or not you want to become a premium member, if you can't even initially connect with anybody? And how are we supposed to know that all those "messages from another member" we're getting in the iloveyouraccent inbox, are from actual people, or from employees of the site trying to make us buy a membership just to read what their messages have to say? It's not like I expect free service from everywhere/ everything, but, standards and rules should be reasonable. Iloveyouraccent is definitely not reasonable in it's expectations of people and in its willingness/unwillingness to bring singles together; it comes across as ONLY a business, with no heart in the business, whatsoever! Terrible. We can feel more heart in a bottle of Heinz Ketchup, than in this place! Avoid it, go somewhere else!
I have been on here for about 2 months abf have talked with some awesome people from the UK and Spain.
I am not a fan of guys who want to Skype immediately, but have done after a while when I feel comfortable.
I have used other well known sites but they are expensive and full of scam artists trying to get you to send money. No one has tried to scam me on here. I guess you have to give it time, so if my Prince rides up and rescues me I will make sure to update this lol.
Thanks for your review.
I recently joined the site and became dubious straight away due to the poor quality pictures on some of the profiles and the speed of which people took a shine to me.
I proceeded to test things out by winking several users who were standard members. Amazingly, within minutes, these users turned premium and messaged me. The users are constantly online it seems which makes it even more unbelievable. They are clearly taking advantage of people looking for love. It is a disgrace and must be stopped.
Dear Gareth Clarke-Roberts. You joined the site months ago and used it for 2 months and then went to Paypal asking for your money back. You even emailed us asking why you were not allowed on the site and today you made a whole new profile. Only 1 member you messaged upgraded today so your review is completely false. You scammed us for 2 months of using the site if you remember clearly.
I agree with most of the reviews of this site - I can't prove it, but I believe there are a lot of fake profiles used to draw people in. I was even writing back and forth with a couple of men who said they were very interested and wanted my phone number, especially right before my subscription was to be renewed. Then the letters stopped and the ones I sent sat unopened. You also get "flirts" from people - so you write to them - and they don't write back. Probably staff. And yes, the positive reviews here are mostly sent all in the same day. It's too bad, it would be a good idea to have a site that caters to across the pond, but beware of this one. Some people have no conscience and think its fun to play on other's hopes.
I found exactly who I was looking for. My perfect guitar with an accent and she loves Man U lol
Now I just need her to get the Yorkshures to rise and I will be on cloud 9
Cheers to iloveyouraccent as its worked great for me and thee lol
Thanks for letting us know our site worked for you both. Please check you inbox. Congratulations.
I agree with so many people who registered on iloveyouraccent dating site. I joined with Being a British guy i was looking to find a Genuine American woman.
Now I think it is a con and wrong that you have to pay in order to read other members messages sent to you and you get some with no photo or one photo.
Also after joining i found that i was getting more and more fraudulent e-mails from people in Nigeria trying to scam me to give them money in exchange for millions of dollars to be deposited into my account, if i was stupid enough to have gave them all my details...
I am very suspicious of this site and like so many other dating sites, some fake, just set up in order to make lots of money out of vulnerable people looking for Relationships.
I signed up and after a month wanted to call it quits. I emailed the admin because I could find no way to cancel my subscription myself. I never received a response and was charged for another month. I then hid my profile, thinking this would stop the payments (don't know why I thought that). I was charged AGAIN. I sent another email and this time got a nasty reply "We told you before to stop the payments through paypal." Checked my email three times and no reply was ever received. I found out how to cancel future payments through paypal and then my account was immediately back in Standard status (no messaging, etc) but I had already been charged for the month. The rudest customer service I have ever dealt with as they insisted that they responded to me even though I sent them the email thread of no reply. Still waiting for a refund for this month since I have no access to Premium member features. BEWARE!
We have upgraded your account and added a free week.
Answer: You can cancel the subscription in PayPal but to delete the account the admin has to do so. As soon as you cancel you will probably no longer have access to the site even though you've prepaid until the end of the billing cycle.:-/
Answer: Please send your pics to admin and we will add them for you if you are having difficulty.
Answer: Join as a standard member and you can peruse the site and see if anyone appeals to you, it is $20 for 1 month, $30 for 3 months and $50 for 6 months,
Answer: Hi, please email us at admin@iloveyouracent.com and we will assist, we do have other members who have registered from Dubai.
Answer: Hi, Wendy, there is no payment coming through from you, do you have a a confirmation email showing your payment? If it is a mix up on our end I will make sure you have a few days extra for your inconvenience but so farI see no payment from you. Please let me know if I can assist further.
Answer: Hello Catherine, we have no financial info for any member but please email us directly and we can assist you. You have already made 2 claims against us one for each time you joined.
Answer: Good luck OP, they almost never respond and make it impossible to cancel subscriptions. I just blocked their asses on PayPal AND my bank, good luck getting my money ever again, thieves;) Also had to call for legal action for refunds I requested a year ago.
Answer: Hey, Sara: I wrote a review & asked (within 24 hours -- in fact, within a few MOMENTS of re-joining) for a refund, but when I made my request, suddenly stopped receiving any communication. I think I would feel a great deal less negative about the company (and would never have taken the time to leave a negative review if anyone had initiated any contact with me or tried to help me in any way. I think it is awesome that you are offering help to Antony, but why wouldn't you want to help everyone who had spent money with you?
