I am writing a honest review for both I love your accent and datebritishguys websites. Fake accounts on both websites. They send fake accounts to hotlist me on datebritishguys website and when I finally upgraded my membership so I can send and read messages to my matches. No one reply back to me. This is disgusting! Stay far away from datebritishguys and I love your accent websites because they operated in a same shady way. I am surprised there are no bad reviews on the internet about datebritishguys.com. I found an exact profile member on both iloveyouraccent and datebritishguys and this member happened to hotlist me on datebritishguy first. But also send messages to me first on iloveyouraccent, I was hesitant to upgrade my membership. But since I happen to like this member's profile good enough and he found me on both websites I decided to upgrade my membership. But after I upgraded my membership on iloveyouraccent and replied his messages there, he didn't reply or even open my message on iloveyouraccent at all! And of course to verify how awful is datebritishguys website also, I went ahead and upgraded my membership on datebritishguys website and sent a message to this exact member, twice in different days because he is on both websites. And of course no response or reply. I even sent messages to other members on datebritishguys who sent me messages and hotlist me before. NO reply at all! So I basically wasted $35 and $20 on both websites to prove that these two websites are there for lurking people's money. But I am glad I can test these two websites out and take my time to write my honest review so no other people can get scammed by these two awful greedy shameful websites. If my $55 dollars can help other people from troubles, I am more than happy to do that. Remember! Even the datebritishguys website has only a few bad reviews on the internet, and seems more organized and legitimate. It's an equally BAD website with fakes accounts to grab your money only! Don't let these websites fool you! I believed at one point these so called fake accounts might be real but they quickly deleted their accounts on both websites after they learned there are only a few real members on these websites but these dishonest websites keep their profile pictures and use different emails by their staffs to lurk people to pay membership to message these members or use these recreated fake accounts to send out messages to potential new users on both of these websites to scam people's money! Stay far far away and don't ever register on any of these two websites. Datebritishguy and iloveyouraccent are SHADY companies!
UPDATED: This is the email string as of 10/19/2016..so far. I guess this review site doesn't post additional conversations except the initial review and initial response:
You canceled your payments as we asked, you have not been overcharged and you have only been a member for a few weeks. To make sweeping statements that we are awful and everyone is a fake is untrue and unfair. Chris S wrote: ------------------------- *, I am talking about the response after your initial reply regarding what I was told by PayPal. I still haven't received any response in help resolving the issue I had. I finally got it taken care of myself after research and calls back to PayPal. With regard to quite a few messages I have received. Correct, I have and I've responded and my opinion is of: It seems very suspect that a reply comes in a week after being sent on more than one occasion and by more than one person. I don't need you replying with 'everyone responds at different times, blah blah'. I understand that. I'm just stating my opinion on what I've experienced on your site. That's all. I have a right to state my opinion and you have a right to state yours. We can just agree to disagree.
I don't hide behind anything. My name is right there. Furthermore, I write positive reviews when I'm happy with a service. I most recently did this regarding a service I purchased a few months ago. I praised them not only a prominent review site but their Facebook page as well. I'm sorry that your customers don't do that for you. Like I said, I will be happy to change my review depending on the rest of my experience. *wrote: ------------------------- Chris, we want everyone to be happy but.......... we have no control over when/if a member responds. Unfortunately, unlike a restaurant review when someone has enjoyed a good meal and they jump on a review site to rave about how wonderful the food was... people tend to only review a dating site when things are not working for them. If you knew how many emails we receive about people getting together and thanking us, yet when asked to write a review for us they shy away or become very private and of course we must respect their privacy. Also, when someone feels the need to write a bad review they should state their name and stand by it, not hide behind a pseudonym as many do. I hope you find happiness and enjoy the rest of your time on the site. Chris S wrote: ------------------------- Also, if, in my remaining time with your site my experience changes, then I will be more than happy to update my review.
I joined the site even after reading the reviews. I signed up for 3 months. Paid via PayPal. After a while I realized this site is full of fake profiles so I emailed them about cancelling my account and got a response from Hannah saying I need to cancel it through PayPal. After speaking to paypal, the rep said they should be handling the cancellation of services. I emailed * back and to this day still haven't received a response. It took a bit of doing but I got paypal to cancel the renewing service. I'm still paid up for the 3 months. You know the profiles are fake when they only have one picture up and they don't respond to each of your replies for a week or longer. I'm playing around on there 'talking' to one or two who I HIGHLY suspect are just staff to see what happens when it gets closer to my renewal date. It's more of a game now at this point which is to bad because the idea is a good one but this site and the people who are running it in Florida are rubbish.

Who wouldn't love a dating site that promises to hookup US boys and girls to the British boys and girls who love them? So... some friends and I decided to do some investigation into I Love Your Accent, or Accent Publishing's Iloveyouraccent.com.
And what an eye opener it was.
First off, all of my friends and I are genuinely single and looking. And that, true believers, is where the genuineness of Iloveyouraccent.com ends.
How many people sign up for a dating website and immediately, I mean within just a few minutes, get a response? Hands please. Ah... no one. Just as I thought; but I digress.
Looks like Iloveyouraccent.com works like this:
First, you create a profile.
Next you add some interesting tidbits about yourself and maybe add a photo or two.
Finally, you wait.
But on Iloveyouraccent.com, you don't have to wait long.
Almost immediately, I got a response from Andyboy.
Next I got a response from Eyeofthebeholder. (All correspondence was copied and documented.)

At this point, my friends and I are thinking Cmon. Get real. We took the bait.
And what bait it was.
Eyeofthebeholder described himself as a 62 London born guy living in NYC. While he was what my friends deemed "very handsome," his second photo looked totally photo shopped to my eyes. But then, that photo shop thing, maybe thats all in the eye of the beholder.
Moving on. At this point, I email Rochelle, the perky Brit who sings the praises of her site right from the front steps of her webpage.
I asked Rochelle a question. I wanted her to respond to the criticism that her site uses fake profile in order to entice people into upgrading (paying the $20 fee) to become premium members. (Unless you pay the fee, you cannot connect with "members.")
Rochelle vehemently denied ever haven taken part in any such actions. She offered that her site cannot be held responsible for vetting $20 members. That was the first day.
The next day, I received a message from TerryUK. Hows this for irony boys and girls- the person who later responded to me from Iloveyouraccent.coms admin email address, was also named Terry. I am sure it was just a coincidence.
TerryUk responded to my profile with a single question: How are you still single?
I responded back quite honestly that I was busy with work. I also disclosed to him that I was doing research on dating sites and wondered if he might want to answer a few questions. That one question unleashed a maelstrom of activity from the Iloveyouraccent. Com admin team.
Within just a few minutes of posing the question to TerryUK, my profile was deleted. Iloveyouraccent. Com removed my picture, inbox messages, ability to send messages, etc. The whole shebang. Gone. Gone. Gone.
It seems that the admin team at Iloveyouraccent. Com doesnt take kindly to any sort of questions about their business practices. They went from we cant be held responsible to verify $20 memberships to you posted on our website under false pretenses. What a difference a day makes.
So, all you US and Brit boys and girls looking for love, what's a guy to make of all of this?
Ill leave you to decide.
Did I mention that I'm a guy and that I did this with female friends who assured me that Iloveyouraccent. Com was a fake? They warned me- fake profiles with crazy hair, immediate answers in order to entice you to upgrade, always the same people in the chat rooms, never more than 100 or so people in the chat rooms, irregular billing practicesyou name it.
Dang, I hate to be proven wrong. And I was so looking forward to my own personal Brit girl with a posh accent like the queen.
Oh well back to the bars and the gyms for real life ladies without the $20 buck entry fee.
Beer anyone?
