But then I remembered that I would never be able to reach a live person at the NY State unemployment office for help (they have never answered the phone in the two weeks I'd been calling to process my claim AND always disconnected me after obtaining all of my personal info; I finally called Governor Hochul's office for assistance), so I decided to continue re-photographing my driver's license until ID.me was satisfied. It took almost an hour before their website relented and verified that I am indeed me.

I was trying to get on ID me and having to upload a photo document of myself. I uploaded my drivers license (which I thought would be acceptable but found out they were not) so I had to take a selfie. They gave me directions on how this was to be done. The directions would have been fine but I was not able to wear my reading glasses so I was not able to read the instructions that they provided and therefore they did not approve my selfie and it appeared on the screen that an error had occurred to which no explanation was given. I never got on the IRS website yesterday to find the information that I was looking for.
Everything went very well. I recommend it to everyone. If you don't understand English, they can provide an online interpreter. Video conferencing is great!
