I downloaded this app not sure how it was going to work, but I tried it anyway. I got normal everyday grocery items and I went out of my way to get certain items they had rebates on. Those certain items being ones id only use coupons for etc. I ended up getting about $30 from the rebates that were offerd, I decided to try to redeem that to make sure it was legit. It told me my account was locked, I contacted the care team like instructed, they then told me my account has been permanently deactivated due to having multiple accounts on multiple devices. Which is not true. My advice would be to not waist your time with this app, and print out coupons as needed.

They deactivated me saying I violated their terms of service. I didn't get the credit I was supposed to so I submitted the receipt again. I wrote them asking them about it at the time and they didn't respond. I was asking questions and trying to figure the app out. I didn't know I was in violation. Customer service wouldn't do anything for me. Eventually they just kept sending the same message. They then blocked everyone in my house.

I have been emailing Ibotta customer service since Oct 2017 because I can't withdraw funds from my account due to my cell phone number got deactivated and do not have a working phone. I have emailed them at least 20/30 emails and they say that the only way you can withdraw funds is through the app, but the app does not let me log in. Everytime, i login to app it keeps giving me error "OOPS... Forbidden". I have the most updated app and the operating system. I tried downloading app on galaxy S6, HTC U11, samsung note 3 etc, but the app does not let me log in... it seems like they have BLOCKED my account. Their customer service is so worst that they do NOT understand my problem. Not sure where to go and who else to complain. I do not like to bring the issues to the internet, but this is ridiculous and it is so frustrating since the emails are going back and forth between me and ibotta since Oct 2017. I even asked them to send me the check of my earnings and they say NO. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CHEATER COMPANY to anyone.

To anyone who is claiming that this App is "great", they're probably being paid for their positive review.

It has been WELL over 5 days.
Ibotta now owes us a total of over $60.00. I should not have even informed anyone of this App, because lately it has been a waste of time, and people are upset with me because I look like I've lied.
My Account, My Mothers Account, And NOW my Brother's account, all got locked from cashing out.
We are using all 100% real receipts,
We are all using our own Mobile Devices,
And we have all wasted our time and money, only to get shut down.
This is now a more serious matter, because now I know I'm not the only one they've done this to, and I refuse to let my money be taken from us.
I've sent over 10 Emails, trying to cash out.

This App is a scam.
And my comments and bad ratings will increase. My Friends are all currently deleting their Account.
At least until I see otherwise.
But I'm definitely being ripped off,
By a business that can't even respond.

I have been using ibotta for over a year everything was great. I emailed the about a rebate I did not get credit for which was linked to my food lion MVP card. The following week I got a email that my account was deactivated because of fraud. How do I fraud when my MVP card is linked to it. So the money that I had accumulated is gone. They get to keep it, and customer service is horrible. I found receipt hog is the best app out there

I had used the app for several weeks and accumulated 107$ in cash back, including some referral bonuses. I had uploaded my receipts and had scanned all the bar codes properly. The app had said that all my purchases and bonuses had been verified.

I verified my account and set up the withdrawal process through my PayPal.

Now, Ibotta has locked me out of my account and is not allowing me to withdraw my money.

If I had been the first person to make a complaint, I could believe this was a one-off technical incident. Instead, it seems like this is an unethical tactic that the company typically uses to prevent people from getting the money they have earned.

The company has not responded to my emails, and hopefully this will get their attention.

I am extremely disappointed and unless I hear from Ibotta soon I will stop referring people to the app and refrain from using it.

I am disgusted at this reoccurring scam being ran by this company.

This is one of those applications that at first they get you with good savings and then start stealing your cash, so it goes for 5 star review and I wish I could have a negative option to select and submit.

I have been using this App for a while and they give you cash but you also loose it right away. First, you start buying expensive products you never used to buy just because of some cent they give you as a reward. They trick you a lot and manipulate the products prices and it varies between users. They love you share the application with many people supposedly and pay both who share and who use it and make a rebate for first time, and that is not working anymore as it should, that faulty system ignore all that. It crashes EVERY day, I guess they are tracking you and if you do not submit the receipt right away you could get nothing when you got home because they remove those products you bought and were available at the time you were paying for it. By the way, it was confirmed they flag accounts if you buy and use it frequently (how come is that possible, they should be happy instead). It also makes you waste long time in the store trying to localize those specific items, i don't think it worth it to get a couple of dollars and spent 3 hours at store with the risk they steal your cash after.

They freeze receipt and play with the total # of rebates you should achieve increasing it from one day to another. Last thing that happened to me is they deactivate my account a couple of times and stole the cash I had available with a lame excuse saying I returned products, even though I sent back a picture with all the stuff I had collected at home... no response... help desk system is really bad, anyways they have the last word so there is nothing to claim. Funny, if you change your phone they might close your account too because you can't use a different device... crazy ah!. Is that the way to keep your users happy? I'm sorry, but won't use it ever again!

If you have not tried this "rebate" site you are missing out! From August 2016 to date (11/29/17) I have "earned" $414.00, doing nothing more than purchasing items that I would have purchased regardless then scanning my store receipt and item (s) purchased bar code (s). I was able to earn this amount due to ibotta's vast selection of stores and product rebates. The money will stay in your account until you earn $20.00, at this time you can opt to cash out or wait. If you cash out, you have your choice of an account transfer or a variety of gift cards! The only thing it will cost you is a little of your time :)

Ibotta app is such a waste of time! Most of the times app functionalities doesn't work, ex: i was unable to withdraw cash, never received rebates for Uber rides, had taken 10-12 rides, never got a rebate! When i contacted support team, they closed the ticket forcibly and mentioned they will investigate and get back! Its been a month, i am not bothered contacting them anymore!
Ibotta smartly collects personal info, which they sell to 3rd parties, ex: whats ur annual income, do u own a house, whats ur ethinicity, how many kids in your household, these are never related to any rebates but just personal data that they can sell! Never share these details, avoid rebates when asked these questions or choose a wrong option!
There is always spike in automated calls/spam emails after registering with ibotta, thats bcos ibotta has traded personal info with these!

Ibotta has introduced new policy to authenticate with mobile no! This is complete non-sense. Ibotta wants customer phone no and hold on to earnings which ppl cannot withdraw! Never ever give your phone, as it will lead to spurge in spam calls. Ibotta has blocked my earning bcos i didnt provide my phone no. Just to prove Ibotta sells user info, i update my name purposely, changed to ex: "abc", next day i had 20 emails on email id registered on ibotta with "Hi abc". This not only proves ibotta shares personal data but can misuse it in any way!
U can try it urself, ibotta will never delete ur email once u register with them, even if u wish to delete ibotta account permenantly. So atleast avoid sharing phone no! Hope this help!

While I've gotten almost all of the small cents or dollar rebates, I recently made a large qvc purchase when they were offering a 20% rebate plus a $5 QVC bonus. Conveniently, their app crashed while I was checking out but the purchase did go thru QVC. A couple of days later I contacted them and asked them to investigate and included the email receipt from QVC. Since then I have gotten nothing but a runaround from them and emails thanking me for my patience. Today I am done being patient. 3 weeks later they only blame it on QVC and it looks like I'm never getting my money. Next stop is BBB website.
