Light commercial is a big lie! In 50 min episode they showed like 3 times 90 second commercial! Is that light? Big lie. Also they dont have a lot of movies and serries we were interested
Hulu is the epidemy of bait and switch. I dislike the constant interruptions of the commercials. That is not what a paid subscription was supposed to be.
Hulu Plus is absolutely horrible. They have crap content and we you leave... they bill you for years on end. I have canceled x 3 and they keep billing me.
I'm trying to save $! So I cut the cord! I'm about to drop Hulu! Hulu sucks! I loose audio everyday I watch Hulu!? EVERYDAY! HULU IS THE WORST! HULU IS LIKE THE BULLY WHO NEEDS HIS OR HER $#*! KICKED! THIS MONTH IS MY VERY LAST WITH HULU! IF ANYONE ASKS ME ABOUT HULU!? IMA TELL THEM THAT HULU IS STRAIGHT GARBAGE!
If you ever consider subscribing to HULU + Live TV... DON'T!
While the service is "adequate", the customer service support is terrible. For the 8th time since subscribing less than 6 months ago, we lost the Live TV function due to our internet provider using a "floating IP address". When the IP address changes ( our service is with T-Mobil) HULU thinks you have moved to a different area. So you have to call customer service and get an "override" of the IP address to continue watching your local channels.
This is where the problem comes in.
A regular HULU agent must get a higher agent to make this simple change. Tonight I waited for 54 minutes while the agent trying to assist me tried to contact her support people. She updated me every 3 minutes for 54 minutes to advise that we were "still waiting" for the change.
After the 54 minute delay I needed a break from listening to music on hold. The agent was going to call me back in 5 minutes... she didn't... so after calling and waiting another 13 minutes to talk with a live person in customer service, I was informed that they weren't allowed to call customers back- I was expected to hold for HOWEVER long it took to make the change!
I will choose another streaming service tomorrow... sad customer service experience.
I purchased Hulu live and they added on HBO MAX (which I get free with my cell phone) STARZ & CINEMAX. When I called them they reviewed my watch history and there is none yet they refused to credit. They are SCAMMERS, customer service is horrible and I canceled immediately.
I contacted Hulu on December 2,2022 and spoke to Mel, call center Manila Philippines to change from the ads plan to the no-ads plan for $14.99 per month. I did the transaction wrong and my daughter caught it and canceled it. Evidently, I had accidentally subscribed on the internet for their live TV service. On December 26 I was reviewing my credit card and noticed the charge for $78.40 was not taken off. I contacted Hulu at 9:24 in the morning on December 26,2022 and spoke to Vienna out of call center Manila Philippines. I tried to explain to them that I canceled the service and subscribed for their ad-free service on December 2,2022. They said they did not see any charges for $78.40. I assured them that there was a $78.40 charge and a $14.99 charge on my credit card and that they appeared on my credit card statement. He said that it was a third-party charge. I told him that it was billed by Hulu. After getting the run around for several minutes, I asked to speak to a supervisor. He told me there were no supervisors available. I asked him what services I could get for the $78.40, he said live TV. I asked him if he could walk me through seeing live TV. He said I did not have a subscription for Live TV. I asked him if he could revert the charges for $78.40. He said again that he could not see those charges. I was on the call for 30 minutes and finally told the Vienna that I would dispute the charges with my credit card since he was not able to see them and asked him to cancel the $14.99 subscription. I was on the call for 30 minutes.
To Whom it May Concern,
At the beginning of the NFL season, I decided to create an account with Hulu in order to stream some of the games. However, I decided to cancel my account after a few weeks because I did not need to stream any more of the games and because I did not want the extra bill. After canceling my account, I was still being billed by Hulu even though my account had been deactivated. I was very confused by this so I tried contacting Hulu to get this problem fixed. It took quite a lot of work and time to get this problem resolved. However, I did not mind the time or trouble, but it was the customer service that frustrated me the most. The customer service was horrendous and one of the worst experiences that I have ever had.
I repeatedly sent emails to your headquarters and I tried calling you countless of times only to have be left on hold. You never replied to any of the emails I sent. Not having the courtesy to send an email back really speaks volumes of how you think of your customers. However as bad as not replying to my emails, the phone calls were still somehow worse. Sometimes my calls were never even answered at all in the first place and the phone would just continue to ring. It took about a dozen different calls for me to even get to interact with a real human. Eventually, my problem was fixed, but not without a tireless amount of work from myself and loads of frustration.
I cancelled the subscription and clicked the cancel button again on the homepage, then it happened that I could not use it even I have paid for a month.
Cancelled Hulu 30 day free trial on 28th day. Hulu billed my credit card for the following month and refused to refund the charges. Hulu claimed I was one day late to cancel, so they will not refund. I'm convinced Hulu is practicing this scam and swindling people by billing their credit card. This practice is clearly fraud. Here's the details: Purchased Roku streaming device at 8:47 p.m. on April 30,2019 (as clearly stated on my receipt). Hooked up Roku device, created an account on Hulu later that night and marked my calendar. Cancelled on May 28th and noticed Hulu was still active on May 29th at 9:15 p.m., so I immediately checked my Hulu account and found the statement "Your subscription is about to cancelCancel Date: 06/29/19" and "Billing History Last payment on: 05/29/19" and "Payment Information Payment Method MASTERCARD". I immediately contacted Hulu customer service and was informed that I opened the account on the April 27th, cancelled one day late on the 28th so they're not able to refund the charges, stating I went beyond the 30 day trial. Interesting scam to say the least! Hulu picked the wrong person to rip off.
Sigh up for free month, they charged my bank for month same day, told them to cancel when month ran out they canceled it right away cost $9.00 for 1 day stay away from them
I was unfortunate enough to fall for the two free months of Hulu with the purchase of a roku 3. The time was cut to one month after I subscribed to Hulu, no explanation. I also subscribed to Cinemax for the free trial however I was unable to access the channel. L changed to showtime and it appears that they were going to charge for that at the onset. I tried to contact Hulu I was unable, so i canceled all of my subscriptions. I CANNOT RECOMMEND HULU TV To ANYONE..
For the last 15 mos the recordings don't work on my account. The most they will offer is a week's credit. I spoke to a supervisor today and offered to show them videotape of what is happening and they said to just cancel it. I was like? They said "we don't want you to be unhappy with the service you are getting so if you don't like it you should cancel it". I was like A- why not just fix it then and B- you cannot offer a larger credit when I can show you with a timestamp that shows that at this very moment it is still not working for me? They were not even interested in seeing the video.
So frustrating as Hulu is a great idea but to pay $80/month for shows that you record but then the recordings aren't working (a previous Hulu rep told me this is affecting only certain channels) seems insane. It would be one thing to not offer more than a week's credit if they thought I was pulling one over but I offered to send in video of what is happening and the rep didn't even care to see it. She was like "yea we totally wouldn't offer you more credit. You should just cancel".
So yes, we are canceling. My husband has a sports program that is not affected by the recording issue so once the events for it are over we are going to get our HBO via HBO and be done with Hulu. Unfortunate.
I give it 1 star because it's not working so what is the point. But I would give it more for the idea behind it and if my recordings didn't stall/stop I would be all about it.
The new interface is terrible it's convoluted and harder to navigate used to be able to open up right to what I used to be watching now I got a search and Hunt through crap that I don't even want that they put on their thinking that I want to watch it which I don't I don't want to watch The Mindy Project but that's always the first thing that pops up whenever I log on I want to go back to what I was watching yesterday or the day before
SERIOUSLY THINKING ABOUT NOT RENEWING NEXT MONTH HULU hasnturned into a BIG JOKE AND A BUNCH OF CROOKS THERE WORSE THAN THE CABLE COMPANY all they want to do is make people pay more money to watch the TV shows there interested in. All of our favorite TV shows my wife and I love to watch had been moved to HULU live. Not every one had the money to pay over $60 some dollars a month for a love TV. If we wanted to pay $60 some dollars and over a month we would get cable. I DO NOT RECCOMEND HULU TO ANYONE.
I called several times to the Hulu CS line... waited. First person I got to put me on hold for over 45 min. Called the next evening to the CS line got ahold of a CS agent (Camille), she kept saying we can change the Disney Plus password... I again reiterated that I did not want to change my password because the pop up said it would create a bundle for me. Again I did not want a bundle because I was already getting a good deal through Verizon for my Disney. I was again urged to change my password, so I did a test as suggested, using the same password as was originally on the account. It allowed me in, I switched over to my Disney Plus used my original password and surprise, surprise it did not let me in. So once again upon suggestion of the agent I used my Hulu password and I was in... Now. I am told that it is not showing (right now) that I have the Hulu, Disney, Espn bundle (Still on the phone and I was just told that she is transferring ing me to her supervisor with the problem of retaining account, Oh sweet Jesus I am trying to keep my temper in check. Honestly I am waiting for them to drop my call). I am going to be watching for a bundle increase in price and a drop from my Verizon discount account. So beware! Hulu is enacting a new price increase scheme.!
You have to pay for Hulu, and the movies Hulu offers suck. Free sites like Pluto and Freevee offer better movies. Save your money and watch free services. They offer better movies
It would be nice if they didn't skip seasons of shows. Like greys anatomy, they deleted season 10 and goes straight to season 11. And I wouldn't mind the commercials if they weren't repetitive..
Maybe because its a FREE 30-Day trial. I have NEVER in my like time had such HORRIBLE Free service. I'm not enjoying Hulu free month trial because 99.9% of the time I having to change my password because I cant log in, it forgets my password and make it seem like I forgot it. OK Hulu if you say so. Get this, I click on forgot password, enter my email address, no response, 5 mins, 30 mins, an hour, day, 2 days, still not response to reset my password. I guess Hulu forgot my password to. Finally I call CS and got the pw reset link sent to my email. Another thing about Hulu's problematic login criterial, is that ever-so annoying CAPTCHA. I am so done playing tic-tac-toc just to watch a free movie. Netflix and Prime doesn't have such outdated site. Well, Hulu with my free 30 trail, your first impression didn't entice me at all. For your monthly service fee, $64, $12, $6 or Free Trials is not worth my patience, It appears your site needs a serious upgrade, one that will remember saved passwords, email address and a quick password reset response, 2 days is just outrageous and oh, not to forget, that annoying tic-tac-toe patience teaser, toss it out, CAPTCHA is obsolete. 3 of 30 days Free Trial service, I'm done...
Dystopia, trashy, misinformed. How can you allow such ads to be aired? Gaza is a cemetery right now!
Answer: Not worth it since they updated their interface into an unusable mess. Customer service is awful, stay far away.
Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.
Answer: It's hulu yet clearing the cashe every time before starting Hulu is substandard there overloaded
Answer: Yes & with Hulu Live you get all of the local channels like CBS, NBC, Fox & ABC. The shows are clearer too because of the way they come in from their On Demand libraries. I love Hulu Live & was so tired of Dish for a few reasons. You should just try it. You get the first seven days free & can cancel anytime. No contracts, equipment or bullshit. All you need is a good strong internet signal which most of us have today. My monthly bill was $100 with Dish. My new Hulu Live bill is $80, but that includes no commercials & an extended cloud DVR where you can fast forward through commercials on recorded shows. You also get access to their whole Hulu library.
Hulu has a rating of 1.7 stars from 1,179 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Hulu most frequently mention customer service, credit card and free trial. Hulu ranks 202nd among Streaming Movies sites.
