Almost 70 a month for live TV. I only want to watch one show. I'm not paying that for literally one TV show. You're ruining the app with this. Customer service? Don't even try. They'll give you the run around and not answer your question or leave you on hold until you get mad and hang up. This is becoming the worst TV streaming app available. I'll be going back to Netflix and any other besides hulu. Absolute trash ONLY BECAUSE OF LIVE TV. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY. TAKE LIVE TV AWAY.
Hulu has gotten so bad. Can't watch a show without it freezing every other minute. And now NBC shows are no longer available. I will be ending my subscription.
Hulu is not allowing Democrats to run adds concerning women's rights, gun control or Jan 6. They really do believe we should be living in a Handmaid's Tale.
I'd rather pay either the same or a little more for other platforms. This platform is RIDDLED with ads even when you're paying monthly. Wont be renewing my membership. I'm so done.
The other reviews here nail it. Stream breaks up at crucial moments of a game. Endless ads that are not synchronized with live action, error messages for no reason. Just way overpriced garbage.
I have used Hulu for years and am soooooooo bummed by the new set up... I canceled... I'll come back when it's usable again... who approved this terrible 'upgrade'?
I could not find a decent faith filled movie, there is total crap on it lots of TVMA ratings popularizing sex and death LGBT interests but nothing for a good Christian person. After DWTS is over I will more than likely cancel unless things change.
I have actually banned products due to the mass spamming of repeating product advertisements on Hulu. Besides the excessively redundant ads played my major complaints with Hulu are thier starting mid season incomplete seasons, faulty playback issues despite strong network signals, lack of higher quality variety ( a lot of reality smutt tv) and limited networks, lacking current tv, local and global news sources, and absolutely appalling user interface ( do you ever ask where's my favorites, or that last show I was just watching?), and again inundated with repeated ads that are causing repulsion to products pushed. Positives: Ads are of a decent quality, there is some variety and quality shows that showcase complete seasons, about half of the reality shows are nature based and human challenges, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart updated weekly with some other current shows, pleasant surprises finding shows in listings that wouldn't normally be searched for. Biggest improvements could come in interface accessibility, new complete content, and diversification of ads.
Its awful funny how the showes themselves will jump a glitch out but an add that kicks in, in the middle of said jummping and gliching episode, run miraculously perfect. Explain please
I have Hulu but will be letting it go. People save your money. There are way too many great apps to watch great programming. I cannot get through a show without the picture breaking up. It's annoying and ruins any show I try to watch. I have tried everything to rectify the problem uninstalling app logging in and out rebooting nothing helps. My Sony 65" is only 2yrs old so it's not the TV, we have very powerful WiFi so that is not the problem. The problem is on Hulus end. You would think that because they take money every month they would provide the service one is promised. CUSTOMER BEWARE GO WITH NETFLIX PRIME HBO SHOWTIME YOUTUBE ANYTHING BUT HULU ITS GARBAGE. Added picture of what the Hulu experience is. Trash!
I find the site easy, great assortment of shows and movies with very little commercial time.
The HUU Plus though is a waste of money and I have found no advantage to subscribing.
I dont understand why the people in charge at Hulu cannot get it through their thick skulls That in order to compete, they need to make every episode of every show available. For example, I want to watch American ninja warrior, but they only have the current season available. Why would I start out watching the current season when I have never even seen an episode? Wouldnt it make sense to start watching it from the very beginning so that I can see how the show involves? The same thing with shows that have character development and evolve from season to season. Why would I start watching Chicago fire if only the current season was available? Its almost like a gimmick To get you to start watching the live Episodes, but their logic is so backwards. If Ive never even seen the show before and all I can watch is the current season or maybe the most recent season, then why would I start watching the live episodes? Id be confused as to whats going on in the plot because Ive never watched the previous seasons. And thats why they get one star. Maybe someday theyll figure it out.
I love the show selection on Hulu and how new episodes are put on the next day. HOWEVER, this app on my smart TV cuts out and reloads CONSTANTLY. No other app on my TV ever does this and it's starting to become a huge burden.
Honestly, people are a little crazy to complain about Hulu's service, especially if they've delt with cable companies!
If you want something more like regular TV, with the newest episodes coming out each week I would definitely recommend Hulu Plus. You can get two weeks free if you sign up here: http://hulu.com/r/ocjVSA
That's what I did and if you don't like it you can cancel before the two weeks are up and wont owe anything, but its really cheap anyways at only $7.99 a month.
Netflix it great for older seasons of shows and all kinds of interesting movies. It's great cause you can just sit for hours on a lazy day and watch a whole season if you want to. You can sign up here for a month free, $7.99 a month, and cancel at any time as well: https://signup.netflix.com/
I personally have both and love them a lot. I don't have cable, which is four times more expensive than both of these. Plus nothing is ever on TV, but with Hulu and Netflix you can always find something.
If your getting rid of cable, I would get both, or at least start with Hulu because it's the most similar to regular TV.
I would not at all recommend paying like $13 a month for HBO! Unless watching just game of Thrones is worth it to you. I just log into my friends HBO and get Amazon free though, I dont use it. Get Amazon if you already are getting prime.
Hope it works out!
I was on the phone with them for 3 day they couldn't access my email my service was shut off before my payment was due wouldn't take any of my debit cards says system problems accur I'm done went to YouTube live TV and convinced 10 friends to do the same
The new format is useless. You can't view all episodes of a show at once to select from if your only wanting to turn on a particular episode. I find it funny the app itself gives you some direction on what to do because of the lack navigation making sense. I don't quite get it seeing as there's no problem navigating other apps. Everytime I get ahead of my husband and want to go back a few episodes to catch him up it's a whole bunch of pointless pages to get through nothing is stream lined in a way that makes sense. I LITERALLY don't find shows on Hulu anymore because I've resorted to googling whether or not something I hear about is streamed and what its offered on. HULU is getting their subscribers to only care about what they actively search for. If you cared ATALL about your business you would make an easy platform that makes sense in hopes that your subscribers will easily find other shows that interest them so that they continue to use this subscription. This platform I only use because of the certain shows only offered through here. It is sad how easy other apps are. This is not something everyone will adapt to in time, once I'm done with a couple of shows I am canceling my Hulu because it's not worth the hassle! I can only imagine what future upgrades will look like.
Okay I got this one year black Friday thing for a buck a month. Good enough to try it out. Didn't really need it got way too much to watch already. But I tried it.
Watched a movie or two, no biggie, seemed like the normal amount of pauses for ads.
Then I watched an episode of Seinfeld a week or two later. An OLD show mind you.
Hulu thought it necessary to stop my watching Seinfeld FOUR TIMES in the first 15 minutes and show me at least two ads each time! I was like WTF? And the show was only half over! It blew my mind LOL. So I didn't even finish watching it and haven't even looked at it since. Deplorable. There's far too many things to watch free with limited ads, like Prime. Hell, get a VPN for 100 bucks a year and download almost anything you can name, with no commercials at all. This Hulu is definitely NOT worth paying for, I hate it for 99 cents a month, definitely would never buy it for any more. Their little Black Friday "plot" to get people in the door real cheap is backfiring largely on them I'm sure.
SO I GOT THE SUPER HULU WITH CABLE CHANNELS LIVE TV AND NO COMMERCIALS. WHAT DO I REALLY PAY FOR COMMERCIALS WITH ALL THE SHOWS YOU PAY FOR TO WATCH MEANING ALL THE GOOD SHOWS WITH HEAVY TITLES ARE GOING TO HAVE COMMERCIALS AFTER EACH SCENE. THE STREAMING IS HORRIBLE, IF I CANT STREAM ON DATA WITH NO PROBLEMS YOU HAVE HORRIBLE SERVICE IN MY OPINION. I COMMUTE UP TO 2HRS A DAY ONE WAY AND I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE GREAT FOR THE TIME TO PASS BY. THIS IS THE WORST MISTAKE I HAVE EVER MADE. I CONSTANTLY TWEET THEM AND THEY OFFER NO RESOLUTION, NO COMPENSATION NOTHING. THIS IS THEE MOST HORRIBLE SERVICE EVER. I AM CURRENTLY WAITING FOR IT TO STREAM A SHOW I WAS WATCHING. I HAVE BEEN KICKED OUT 5 TIMES AND REBOOTED MY PHONE 3 TIME AND IM STILL GETTING AN ERROR MESSAGE THAT MY PHONE DISCONNECTED DURING PLAYBACK. HULU YOU NEVER PLAYED TO BE DISCONNECTED. STUPID STUPID STUPID...
I have tmobile home internet which has a dynamic ip and every time it changes you have to call them and waste hours out of your day to get it to work in my case i have wasted about 15 days of my life to get this to work on a consistent basis and they still want you to pay for your service even when you have to waste your time for a service you pay for to get fixed i have complained 1000 of times for them to do something about it as it isnt just me having this issue and they say all the steaming services will do that well sorry to tell you but your the only one that has this issue im sick of your company and wasting my time i have already disputed months of charges because im not paying for a service that doesn't work half the month and have have to waste time getting it to work so screw your company and the lack of care for your customers you sure will let people with dynamic IP sign up for your service but dont care that people have to waste hours to get it to work its pathetic and wrong way to run a company and a big one at that
I was on Hulu a second ago and was watching a really good show where a girl was about to die, and a fking stupid ad about daipers poped up and ruins everything! Not just this time, but 500 TIMES! It feels like I'm watching really boring uninteresting ads over and over and over more than I'm watching my show! I can't take it anymoree! Hulu has more interesting shows and varieties than Netflix does, but what's the point if the varieties are messed up by horrible ads?! I'm changing to netflix once I'm done watching this last episode, and hopefully NO ADS RUIN IT!
Answer: Not worth it since they updated their interface into an unusable mess. Customer service is awful, stay far away.
Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.
Answer: It's hulu yet clearing the cashe every time before starting Hulu is substandard there overloaded
Answer: Yes & with Hulu Live you get all of the local channels like CBS, NBC, Fox & ABC. The shows are clearer too because of the way they come in from their On Demand libraries. I love Hulu Live & was so tired of Dish for a few reasons. You should just try it. You get the first seven days free & can cancel anytime. No contracts, equipment or bullshit. All you need is a good strong internet signal which most of us have today. My monthly bill was $100 with Dish. My new Hulu Live bill is $80, but that includes no commercials & an extended cloud DVR where you can fast forward through commercials on recorded shows. You also get access to their whole Hulu library.
Hulu has a rating of 1.7 stars from 1,179 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Hulu most frequently mention customer service, credit card and free trial. Hulu ranks 202nd among Streaming Movies sites.
