I bought the $60 / month plan where you can have 200 hours of digital DVR & fast forward through commercials however I travel a lot and Hulu will not allow me to watch my content on hotel smartTVs. This is asinine for how much money I pay. You can watch Netflix and YouTube Premium ad free on any device ANYWHERE! And I pay much less for those accounts. Get with modern times Hulu and make it mobile! So disappointing because I liked everything else about Hulu. I canceled my $60 subscription and signed up for YouTube Premium for only $15/month. MUCH CHEAPER! AND I can watch it wherever I want ad free!
Hulu's slogan of, "We' about to ruin TV for you" couldn't be more true. The endless commercials that you cannot fast forward through are beyond frustrating. Even if you have already watched something and you fast forward to the part you need to be, Hulu takes you back to the last block of commercials THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY SEEN. By doing this it messes up exactly where you need to be. In addition to breaking for commercials sometimes every two to to three minutes, Hulu shows you the same commercials over and over again during the same program. For instance, I once saw a Febreeze commercial in a nonstop loop during one program. I also think it is highly ridiculous that only two people can be "using" the Hulu service in the household unless you pay extra. Hulu is a rip off.
Been having lots of freeze issues and kick outs in the middle of movies and shows.
Can't watch a movie the whole way through without this happening. We will be unscubscring.
Had hulu for 2 years and It's just gone to s***. Was still paying for service and couldnt get anything on the TV for 6 months! Dont recommend and crappy customer service. Go with sling!
I thought it was just me this past week but after reading the hundreds of Bad reviews and complaints, Hulu hasn't made any changes so, I will have to cancel.
A great way to watch TV on your computer. No "click thru" involved or downloads that can infect your computer. VERY GOOD SITE!... now if they would just get some decent movies...
Why am I paying for a bs app that never seems to work!? It'll play the stupid ads (of course) but when the show it supposed to start, it's just a black screen and the show won't play.
I joined hula last year and im suppose to get shows from NBC, ABC FOX AND FREEFORM AND A NUMBER OF OTHER CHANNELS.
But they are not letting the 11.99 customers see new tv series coming out this year and cant watch blacklist either. They are trying to force people to get their tv service for 44.99 and i had it for a few months and i only use about 7 of the channels. So forget you hula for i thought disney wasnt going to be as greedy as others but i was wrong. And i dont care about the new programs and you have a lousy 44.99 service with alot of crap so no thanks
I tried the "30 day free trial" and in day six they charged me $14. No explanation of why. I was liking the content so probably I would've stick to the it but now I have my doubts
Hulu isn't horrible but I wish there were more options similar to Netflix where when paid for like Netflix there's no commercials, so to me Hulu is not as good as Netflix but only because of the commercials because it's a paid service like Netflix but cost a little more and literally takes extra time from you also!
Hard to comprehend who at Hulu personally likes this so called upgrade. I'll give it a week or so then cancel. This might get me to actually move back to cable.
They offer bundles and trios but the ESPN+ only works for major league live game viewings if you add Live tv or have a cable company. Who has cable still? I had the Disney+ Hulu bundle but decided recently to add espn+ to watch NBA. And so I added that change to my plan, but then realized it didn't know allow me access to live NBA game without Live Tv subscription or cable company. So I attempted to go back to bundle I had, and website won't let me. I see it's still promoted on their website so not sure why I am not allowed to add it to my plan, so I call customer service. The first rep., sounded super young and spoke fast and was dismissive. She said she "didn't think" she could change it back. When I asked to speak to a supervisor since she may not but a supervisor probably could, especially since it's still being promoted on their website, and I had just made the change, she hung up on me. I called back and spoke to another rep. Who stated the supervisors were informing her that they were not available to speak to me, and would call me back when they could. So to wait for a call back. As she spoke she sounded as she thought it was funny I was becoming frustrated or who knows what she was reading on the reply back from the "Supervisor". So ultimately I was denied assistance or to speak and get help from a Supervisor.
During the the first round. Four teams were playing we were able to see one game the other 3 games r
Were perpetual commercials and analysis. After flipping channels for 35min. No BB games were on. I called HULU. Promptly disconnected. Called again talked with a guy for 30min. He had no clue what the NCAA BB was about and that I wanted to watch them 4 games going on. He said HULU had an issue with game suppliers TruW and one other and I would have to wait about an hour. So before I wrote this I checked the TV networks again and Nope. No games on TV.
Very disappointed with HULU. Going back to Cable can't risk it with HULU
I watched 6 hours worth of episodes of family guy, then realized I was on my cellular data and not wifi. I check my data usage and it had on used. 8 gb FOR SIX HOURS OF STREAMING. Whereas Netflix uses up to 3gb per hour. I also love how they update per episode instead of per season
Keeps crashing and giving error messages and just hanging, stuttering and all the things we all hate about streaming, they are all collected here at Hulu in a nice little package to annoy you. All of that while Netflix works perfectly fine and my internet speed is 20x required speed for streaming.
Another horrible thing about it is if you have a subscription that is not their full subscription (like the ones that come with other services) the ads are just horrible. For example, I watch an episode of some show and then I want to go and see something again in that same episode - the ads HAVE TO BE WATCHED AGAIN to just see something you missed.
The quality of their shows it's going down a lot of what they show you can watch on free apps like Tubi TV or Pluto TV Hulu continues to raise their prices but you have to watch 8 min of commerciala and you're lucky if you get to watch three minutes of the show. Definitely Hulu is no longer worth the money.
Save your $#*!ing money and buy Netflix or HBO. Hulu is $#*!ing slow, blurry and "buffers" and then won't play the rest of the show. Hulu is $#*!ing hot garbage!
Hulu would be great if they had the OWN Network. I say this because I love watching all the Tyler Perry Sitcoms and a lot of the other shows that broadcast on the OWN Network. Because I'm switching from cable. But if I can't get the OWN Network I won't get Hulu if they don't have it and you'll be just like any other company.
This new Hulu is wretched! Several months ago my daughter convinced me to cancel cable and switch to Roku with Netflix and Hulu. Everything was fine, user friendly, just a click or two and I was watching my favorite shows. I was also able to put my favorites on one page. It used to be one click resume a show add another click and I can start from the beginning. First I have the most difficult time just to FIND my show and then forget if I want to restart the show. Whats up Hulu is was TOO user friendly? Are you trying to go out of business by driving customers away? Or do you make more money by making people click, click, click, fifty times just to find a show!?!? And whats with that font! It is horrible, who can see that? The font is so thin and the color so light. And whats with the buffering? Have you put so many bells and whistles on this dam upgrade (really downgrade to the 80s) that it cannot keep up. Well now I am tasked with researching other TV alternatives. It looks like the major consensus in you other pissed off customers is Amazon and Sling, so long Hulu, it was short and you suck!
A basic subscription costs 8 a month with a lot of ads, where youtube has less ads and is free and if you want to get rid of the ads it costs nearly twice as much, need I say more?
Answer: Not worth it since they updated their interface into an unusable mess. Customer service is awful, stay far away.
Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.
Answer: It's hulu yet clearing the cashe every time before starting Hulu is substandard there overloaded
Answer: Yes & with Hulu Live you get all of the local channels like CBS, NBC, Fox & ABC. The shows are clearer too because of the way they come in from their On Demand libraries. I love Hulu Live & was so tired of Dish for a few reasons. You should just try it. You get the first seven days free & can cancel anytime. No contracts, equipment or bullshit. All you need is a good strong internet signal which most of us have today. My monthly bill was $100 with Dish. My new Hulu Live bill is $80, but that includes no commercials & an extended cloud DVR where you can fast forward through commercials on recorded shows. You also get access to their whole Hulu library.
Hulu has a rating of 1.7 stars from 1,179 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Hulu most frequently mention customer service, credit card and free trial. Hulu ranks 202nd among Streaming Movies sites.
