I'm pretty satisfied with hulu, but wtf is up with the ridiculously small search letters! I've contemplated cancelling it just for this reason. I have 20/20 vision and freaking need a magnifying glass to type in the letters to find a show. I'm using my wii to stream hulu, so not sure if it's just an issue related to the wii or what but really... step it up hulu and enlarge the letters!
I am about ready to throw a shoe through the tv. Trying to watch a series on Hulu today and every episode I have to restart because Hulu can't figure out how to achieve proper downloads. The last episode I never even got to finish. After the episode restarted from the beginning 5 times I had to give up. Hulu wants to blame it on your tv or internet provider but it is truly a Hulu problem. My internet service is downloading at 50mps and Hulu requires 1-3mps. I also have no problem with Netflix or Amazon. Hulu has a great selection, if they could only figure out how to let us watch it.
HULU false advertises when it says you can rewind or fast forward. Stay away from this service you will get pissed if your watching sports and want to rewind during commercials or fast forward after pausing it or recording it. Cancelled and went to youtubetv to fix the issue.
I've had Hulu for awhile. Everything was fine until the November update. After that all I get us glitching and freezing. I have spoken to customer service repeatedly and got told it was my cell(it wasn't), my cell provider(it isn't) and to do the steps I had already done countless times before calling them. I can't get a refund because I pay with gift cards. I can suspend my account but I wasted $ on those cards when I unsuspend to see if the app works. I talked to someone who told me they were would advance this case to someone. They said I would get an email. Still have yet to hear anything. Hulu has an excellent selection of stuff to watch. But what good is that selection when I can't watch anything and am losing money because Hulu refused to fix their update or refund my money on a gift card?!
Why does hulu keep stopping. You restart it and you have to watch the same scene over again several times. Its not on my end. And my tv turns off all by itself. Wtf. Doesnt do it on netflix or amazon. Its like the 3 stooges are running this operation. Come on man its2021. Tv should be better than this don't ya think.
I am a subscriber, I love hulu except the commercial volume. I am probably the minority that actually doesn't get up for commercials I find most of them amusing and if want want to get up during a show I pause it like a normal person! So most of the time I don't need to get up and have to mite the damb commercial because my neighbor 2 miles away can here it. Stop upping the freaking commercial volume amd most of the couch potato subscribers will watch them because they can be pretty entertaining.
Horrible movies terrible glitchy platform and if you watched something 3 years ago and left it at 30 sec left it will remember but if you just started a new movie and are 15min into it it will be gone not in history or keep watching... the playback is so bad its like watching 90s tv. Prime tv is way better love that i will cancel hulu this month and never look back
It slows down like you are in time out. It's been doing this for over a week. I guess they got the money but don't want to give the service.
They have some good shows on there, and they are for free, their movies are not so great thought, very old style and not interesting most of the times. A lot of Life time movies, wich are mostly for lonely people
I had Hulu since the beginning of January and it is horrible I'm always having to call them there are nothing but a lot of problems getting constantly knocked out, nothing but buffering TV always blinking it is a horrible horrible horrible company. They do not believe in quality. I pay only $100 a month and that's with live TV HBO Max and Cinemax and it is not worth it. I'm going back to cable screw you Hulu
So I decided to try Hulu thinking i could watch Game of Thrones on Hulu.com on my computer... NOPE! They want you to go buy a their partners devices to watch it. I feel like it is a scam. I can get all the seasons from the library... for free! They want you to add on all of this stuff, my bill for TV is cheaper. Why would i pay for this? I would not reccomend Hulu! I will stick with netflix. Obviously the shows on hulu are not worth my time. So glad i wasted my time creating an account.
You guys are the actual cancer of the internet. You beg for me to take you back. And I get fed up saying, "Yes I'm sure." Overdrafted my account once... Then you take money I need for bills even though I unsubscribed a week before the date of the payment? You suck. Thanks for making life harder than it needs to be you hacks.
Hulu works great for a stretch and then buffers every few seconds, making it totally unwatchable, and this is after paying for commercial-free. Amazon and Netflix never buffer like this. When Hulu had commercials, it never buffered during commercials, only during shows. Fishy.
Hulu is a grossly overpriced joke!
The interface dosent work half the time. The DVR dosent record your shows, the tech support is non existent. And all this for the most expensive streaming app available
I pay $43 for no commercials /advertisements it's a lie I get maybe a hand full with no commercials/advertisements and it doesn't matter what station or tv show yes I'm Angry I gave it a 3 only because as of now it's cheaper than dish
Hulu is just a waste of time and money... The time I spend watching ads and trying to fix streaming errors, I could have watched every episode in every season of friends... twice. IT NEVER resumes where I last left off and buffers FOREVER. #teamnetflix
I purchased Hulu commercial free and yet most anything I click on has commercials. When I call to complain they say those programs are "On Demand". There are less and less that are NOT "On Demand". The least they could do is have a category or notation warning me there are commercials before watching it. Reality told, what they are doing is collecting $$ for ad free PLUS getting paid for every commercial they sneak by you. In the potato chip world that's called double dipping! Don't get screwed. On Netflix ANYTHING I click on is commercial free - its not that difficult - they are scamming us at HULU - should be a class action law suit! Youtube Premium here I come!
Hulu is pathetic.
They show ads every few minutes. The worst part is that the ads pause during streaming and you have to sit through the slow dragging ads.
Pathetic service. The day another service has the same shows, I'll cancel my service - WITH PLEASURE!
Not worth it! When you sign up for live tv they don't tell you that you can only watch it a few devices. When I went to watch live tv non of my devices worked with it so I payed a ton of money for something I couldn't even use. Not a good service for the amount they charge you for it.
I signed up for a trial month. I called to cancel, was told it was cancelled. They have billed me $11.99 a month for the last 9 months. The wait time on the phone was an hour for billing. The Chat Person said she would only give me a 3 month credit. I was told numerous times theyd fiqured the problem out, and have not. The bank sends me back to Hulu to resolve. I have finally closed my Wells Fargo account to get rid of them. Insane.
Answer: Not worth it since they updated their interface into an unusable mess. Customer service is awful, stay far away.
Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.
Answer: It's hulu yet clearing the cashe every time before starting Hulu is substandard there overloaded
Answer: Yes & with Hulu Live you get all of the local channels like CBS, NBC, Fox & ABC. The shows are clearer too because of the way they come in from their On Demand libraries. I love Hulu Live & was so tired of Dish for a few reasons. You should just try it. You get the first seven days free & can cancel anytime. No contracts, equipment or bullshit. All you need is a good strong internet signal which most of us have today. My monthly bill was $100 with Dish. My new Hulu Live bill is $80, but that includes no commercials & an extended cloud DVR where you can fast forward through commercials on recorded shows. You also get access to their whole Hulu library.
Hulu's reputation is marked by a diverse content library and the appeal of timely access to popular TV shows and movies, which many customers appreciate. However, significant concerns have emerged regarding technical performance, including frequent buffering, app freezes, and navigation difficulties, leading to frustration among users. Additionally, issues with customer service, such as unresponsive support and billing discrepancies, have been highlighted. The overall sentiment indicates that while Hulu offers valuable content, persistent operational problems and a growing dissatisfaction with ad frequency may push customers toward alternative streaming services.
