The company's reputation is mixed, with notable strengths in product quality and delivery efficiency, as many customers express satisfaction with their purchases and the overall aesthetic appeal of items. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in handling issues related to delivery options, billing disputes, and product defects. Customers frequently report difficulties in reaching support and receiving timely resolutions, leading to frustration. While some patrons appreciate the extensive product selection and smooth purchasing experience, the inconsistency in service responsiveness and problem resolution highlights areas for improvement in their customer service approach.

They tell you to get "References" as a part of the way to get to the "Top" of their web site. However the people giving reviews must first join houzz and my clients and reviewers did not care to do that so I got no reviews from my happy clients.
It seems to me by doing that, Houzz is putting their own interests above those of the people who pay to advertise.
Thank you everyone for taking the time to share your personal experience with houzz!
They dont mention that if you need to return an item they will charge a ludicrous return fee (i. E. 80% of the value of the item). Buy from amazon with its free returns.
The home is awesome and the detail and quality is above and beyond. We are very grateful to the Bella Vista team. The experience is professional and they treat everyone like family. Thank you.
I think this site solicits THE DUMBEST OF THE DUMB for customers. Sold a porch swing to a moron in Michigan and they were ticked off because they had to assemble it and hang it themselves! Houzz sided with the buyer and made me give them their money back, WHICH I REFUSED to do and I pulled ALL my items off their site. WHAT A FREAKING JOKE THEY ARE!
Second time ( can't believe I went back for more) products are cheap Chinese crap! Cuztomer service sucks, it's "never them" because they use suppliers. Waiting for refund. Don't use this website!
After going back and forth for 2 weeks over a cheap product I am out $50 in product and shipping fees and I do not even have the items. The blame was placed on me because I didn't pay even more in shipping fees to insure the return. USPS damaged the product and now it is my fault. Terrible customer service. They need to take some tips from Amazon. It is essential online stores have good return policies for their customers. I will be telling all my friends and family to avoid Houzz.
We ordered an island from Houzz in January. Here it is August and we finally received a defective island with drawers that are broken and a poorly finished top. The customer service is horrible and the management is worse. I waited 2 weeks for a call from management to try to rectify the situation and was told that i would be responsible to ship back the item.
Buying from houzz is difficult. Inexperienced people who lie as they go. A scam and should be it put of business from selling stuff. A rip off for buyers and sellers on houzz.
Horrible experience using Houzz. Our first experience included purchasing a desk that weighed about 200 lbs (estimated) and was delivered in a box that looked like it had been opened/repackaged several times and been through a war. Upon opening the box we found that the desk wasn't packed properly which made the corner of the desk inflict serious damage. It has been a week trying to get this resolved and we still have not gotten either a refund or replacement. They asked us to send photos - which we have done several times -but we keep getting requests from different customer service people to send photos. At this point, we are just done with it and requested for it to be returned. We have to wait on that too...
I ordered 4 lounge chairs looked Black on the website, came in brown. They want a 25% restocking charge! 6 emails and 8 days later I have not gotten a response. Still have the chairs. Can anyone help me get these chairs returned.
I ordered a product through this website and never received the merchandise. I contacted Houzz customer service and the seller www.1800housewares.com and no one was able to tell me where my product was! I never got a call back from 1800housewares about where my merchandise was and even got attitude from the customer service rep! Houzz kept saying they were trying to contact the seller but weren't hearing back from them. The rep at Houzz kept saying she would keep me updated but didn't do it unless I kept calling back. After four days of going back and forth with both sites I finally had to cancel my credit card to make sure I got my money back!
I don't know how they got their teeth in me. Did B I inquire about a product? I know I never bouht anything from them and never will.
Somehow they even figured out a way to put ads on my facebook home page.
A trap for the unwary. Bad news.
Received a sink and vanity the wood on the vanity was completed cracked from delivery. I had waited to open the item until the contractors were there as I did not want to damage it and couldn't lift the sink myself to check the item. When we realized it was cracked through the entire side I called the company (which is very hard as they don't include a customer service number readily). They told me that it was beyond the return policy time frame because I had waited beyond 7 days. Overall exceptionally frustrating. The customer service person seemed impatient and did not want to connect me with a manger.
Having dealt with Richard for over 20 years, never in my extended real estate experience (over 30 years) have I had the occasion to meet a finer, more honest individual. The key stone on which Richard has established his business is "customer satisfaction to the max". No other Builder who I have ever represented can make the statement "Call anyone I've built for and ask their opinion". Richard seems to become friends with all his customers because of his goal for uncompromising quality while offering his customers fair prices. Please feel free to contact me, $#*! Brower, Realty Executives Associates if you would like to discuss my experiences with this fine representative of his profession...
The pictures on the website for the duvet cover I ordered clearly showed two pillow shams with the duvet cover. When you click the link, the page where you order it also shows two pillow shams. The same is true for the picture shown when conforming your order and the order confirmation email.
I received my order without the two pillow shams and was told that only the duvet was included. Despite explaining that all the pictures showed he duvet with two pillow shams, I was still told that the return shipping would be deducted from my refund because it was a case of buyer's remorse and not an actual problem with the product.
I requested return shipping information on Wednesday. It is now Sunday and I have not heard back about the return shipping labels. I'll be calling my credit card company to file a dispute next. Stay away from this place. They use false and misleading advertisement, and they take forever to process a simple return.
Bought a Nantucket Pro Series 30 Inch SS under mount kitchen sink. It does not drain it stains easily. It is very hard to keep clean. The only thing good about it is that it looks good.
I'm an interior designer and have had issues with Houzz from the beginning - it's not a site that supports interior designers or the design community. I recommend spending your time and money on other avenues to promote your interior design business. I would give 0 stars, if possible.
I advertised on houzz for a year. What a waste of time and money. They require you to badger your customers for reviews and pictures in order for your site to work, AAnd they must start a houzz account to praise you. Pyramid marketing? BEWARE of the auto renewal you can't get out of without spending time to figure out how. They wont tell you.
To whom it may concern:
We recently had our house painted, completed by the College Works Group, led by Arthur "Trip" Ford. We were looking for a painting crew when a friend, a former client of CW and Trip gave me a referral with phone number to call Trip. He gave us an excellent recommendation for this group. I called Trip, set up an appointment and the rest is history.
Trip met us at our home. He was on time, thorough in explaining the process; scraping, following the lead paint rules, using a primer glue and final coat of paint. We were very pleased with his presentation, and found him to be honest, professional and friendly. We agreed with the work needed, the cost and signed the contract. He was hired.
Trip set a time frame for the process and followed through. We were notified timely with each stage of the project, which was very nice. He offered and upgrade of paint to be used which was appreciated, and we agreed to same We are very glad we did as our house looks great.
We can't say enough good things about Trip and his crew, Travis and Nick and their work ethic. We observed very good communication and direction between them through out the project. They arrived on site on time. They were most respectful of our home and surroundings. They followed through with contract items, ie: walk around daily, cleaning of site and neatness.
What we witnessed was an honest interest in their work and doing it well. They showed pride in the outcome, and were most appreciative of our compliments. They were great and it was our pleasure to have them on site.
Our neighbor took notice and said he would give them a recommendation on a job well done.
We thank Trip for his outstanding professional leadership and management skills.

Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
