I advertised on houzz for a year. What a waste of time and money. They require you to badger your customers for reviews and pictures in order for your site to work, AAnd they must start a houzz account to praise you. Pyramid marketing? BEWARE of the auto renewal you can't get out of without spending time to figure out how. They wont tell you.

Houzz got hacked
I joined Houzz this past June and recently I received a message from a scammer stating he received my pass codes from the hack. I do not trust houzz. If you do business its at extreme risk! I spoke with my representative about this and said I don't trust them giving my information out as a service provider and asked to remove my subscription. She will not and became very distant and curt with me. I guess I will have to eat my mistake and loss I've encured by trusting Houzz. Don't make the same mistake!

The item I purchased was my first and very LAST Houzz purchase. Yes your policy is posted on your site but I'll interpret it for clarity to other prospective shoppers. The item I purchased was $26.59. With $3.99 added for postage, my total purchase price was $30.58. OK. Now, because the item was too large for the chosen location, I "changed my mind" and made the unfortunate decision to do a return. My net return after deductions by Houzz for the policy penalty for me having made the decision to return the item and for the policy deduction that does not retu; rn shipping fees, neither the outgoing or the return fee, net return to me was $17.52. A LOSS of $9.07 on the product itself!. What to say... never, never again, Wayfair? QVC?, Overstock?, Amazon?, did I say Wayfair?... maybe the best! And, still there are more...

We bought a light fixture in December. It wasn't right for us and we contacted Houzz for return instructions. We followed the instructions and sent the item back. After not receiving a refund, we have been calling, gave Houzz a copy of a the returned UPS shipment showing receipt of the item by the sender. Now Houz says they need ore information to find the order. What more can they ask for?
Totally unsatisfied by their lack of customer service and certainly will never use them again.

Rose Forum
June 15, 2015

Houzz took over the rose forum and I have never been able to sign in. When I try, the response is that I am already signed in,,, BUT then I am told again that I cannot join the web conversations because I am not signed in. This is truly a terrible website manager.
I was a member of the original Garden Web for years and never had this type trouble.

I am very upset. Saw them by chance on the forum and regretted it. I tried to find people to help me solve this problem. And later I started to search how I can return my money and I found them. Refu n db. Page. Link /m oney They collected all of the pieces of evidence and made a strategy of how they can help me with my case. Do not fall for scammers. Thank them for everything.

I ordered a microwave cabinet and when my handyman went to put it together we found BOTH shelves with a bullnose edge were cracked down the bullnose edge. This was NOT from shipping, but the qualify of construction. We didn't have time to return it and order another, so I am having it fixed so we can use it and will make it as unnoticable as possible. I won't make the mistake of ordering here again.

Had 4 chairs in cart late evening and the next morning when I had my credit card in hand and tried to pay they had raised the price by 10%! Those are dirty business practices. Who does that? Called customer service and they had me send the screen shot showing the price then they waited a day and told me 'sorry' we can't honor the original price. That sounds like fraud to me. When you price an item you don't change the price midstream while the customer is trying to pay. NEVER DEAL WITH HOUZZ AGAIN!

The most unprofessional company who use deceit with how much buisness you get and make you sign a year for leads. Dont do it. Absolutely no support, 12 leads received in 7 months 4 out of 7 never wanted painting or drywall. Stay far away from these rip off artist.
No return calls, they suck from their owner to there legal staff and most importantlytheir products. They are LIARS

Fast and easy
June 6, 2021

We ordered 3 barstools from Houzz, made in USA. As Canadians, it can often be a lengthy process to have items delivered across the border. These came within the promixed delivery period, and were easy to assemble. My only complaint - the site didn't actually say they had to be assembled (although in hindsite it is logical), so I was surprised when 3 very flat boxes arrived.

I had to return an article I bought and it took them a week to sent me a return' label, finally when they sent, it was not printable. I had to call costumer service and again explain all what happened during the week to that person in order for me to get an printable label. THE WORST

If I had read the reviews on this site before I never would have tried to order from Houzz. I have like many others tried to contact your company with no response.
I am posting my complaint again on this review site.

I purchased a set of 3 vino rosa terra-cotta vases on 26 June for $153.89 and got a order number 1571-2945-8551-6170. A few days later I get an email saying my order was canceled because they weren't available and was given 3 other suggestions I might like. When I clicked on the hilighted original vases I ordered it showed that they were available but for a higher price of $197.46. I don't understand how your company can do this to its customers.

They are HORRIBLE and lack customer service. Once they ship an order, they wash their hands Nd will not help you trace it. They claim that it has been delivered, when shipment has not. They will not contact carrier that they chose on the shipment. They are not worth the aggravation when there are many companies are driven to keep their customers happy. I would give them A ZERO rating.

On black Friday I ordered 3 bean bag chairs for my grandsons for Christmas gifts. The confirmation email said I should expect delivery between Dec 1-7. When the bean bags weren't delivered I tried to track online, the website said I didn't have an order. Tried to call customer service, their hours are so limited, but I finally got ahold of them on the 12th, they told me the seller cancelled my order! I received no email regarding this at all. They transferred me to someone who could look for a similar item but of course found none. Now I'm less than 2 weeks away from Christmas with no gift for my grandsons but they could care less. I will NEVER order from them again!

I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased a laundry center. It was damaged when we opened the box and I have been totally unsuccessful trying to reach HOUUZZ in any manner (phone, email) in order to return. I am going to file a complaint with my credit card company.

I searched for an Oriental Shoe Cabinet for my entryway. I got 3 that came up. I selected one and ordered it. Only to learn it was a jewelry box! How is that even close to my search? So I immediately contacted them and you get false promises of checking on getting a prepaid RMA label. They refused. This wasn't something you could easily see the difference. And the box is 2 feet by 18". Just not going to work for shoes. So why do I need to pay for the return? Stand behind your service. It's the cost of doing business. And change your search results. This is ridiculous.

Skeptics to believers

This is my first time ordering from Houzz. I do a lot of research when ordering from new stores online and though Houzz has plenty of good reviews there were some bad ones that jumped out at me. Regardless of my skepticism, I still ordered because Houzz had the quickest shipping option for the Compostio C30 which I purchased as a birthday gift.

It took me a few days to receive a receipt and thereafter I still hadn't gotten any shipping updates, so I called their customer care line where a very friendly associate immediately fixed the issue (I had the wrong email address set as the default). My package arrived right on time, as promised with the free shipping option (very quick for free shipping) and everything was in great condition.

Not only did Houzz come in with the lowest price, cheapest shipping, and fastest shipping but they were extremely helpful and reliable. I will buy from here again!
