Horrible service
June 27, 2021

I have ordered two items on Houzz. Both items were poorly pacjaked, arrived later than promised and were damageds on arrival. On top of this nuisance, it was a pain in the arse to get a refund. Caveat emptor!

We worked with April White, interior designer, when we moved to Sarasota from Arlington, MA. April was extremely helpful in guiding us on what to move and what we should sell up north. Upon arriving, she provided wonderful guidance as we furnished our new home with new furniture as well as what we owned. She also was a huge help in placing our art work and "pulling" everything together. We couldn't have been happier!

Left feeling mis-led

I purchased some lights promoted on the site.
Received the lights, all good. When I opened the box and attempted to install I found the wiring to be confusing so I attempted to contact the company that makes the lights. Sent 2 emails, no response even though the site says someone will respond within 24 hours. I ended up calling and was told someone would get back to me with an answer about the wiring. Nothing, so I went to Houzz and tried to open up a chat. Got cut off, I think. Received an email apologizing. Got another email asking me if my issue was resolved. I responded with a "no". Next I get this email asking for a review. I went to the Houzz site to look at the lights again to see if there's something there I missed. The lights are discontinued, not under warrantee and cannot be returned.

HORRIBLE COMPANY

Received a broken item. 08/25/2021 sent pictures and after a few weeks got replacement pieces but item still broken... I returned the item on 10/25/2021 and i am still waiting for the credit to my credit card... They say because i put a dispute in with my credit card company i have to wait 90 days... They have the item... I cancelled the dispute and i still dont have a credit. This is unethical...

I ordered an expensive piece of furniture from Houzz about 2 months ago, I received the first one damaged so I asked for a replacement, the second one came also damaged and my return and refund request has just been rejected, I have sent pictures of the table to show the damage but this seems to be insufficient. I am now the proud owner of a damaged table for which I have paid over USD4k. I do not recommend this website at all, this has been a nightmare. The price was right, but I would have rather paid a few hundred more for a table that doesn't have any damage. Waste of money and time.
UPDATE - after a back and forth with the customer service, I was provided a refund at the end, partly on store credit and partly on $ credited to my credit card.

I purchased two light fixtures from vendor on Houzz website and decided on one. The return policy of the vendor is difficult to see and only 14 days from delivery. It's difficult to get receive a light fixture, get an electrician and have a light installed within 14 days. On 17 days will within the Houzz return policy I tried to return on light fixture and they would not accept the return and Houzz will not enforce the vendor provide any concessions. I will not purchase from Houzz any more. I will go through Amazon where they make their vendors provide quality customer service.

I ordered a 4 piece outdoor seating set for $275. The order clearly shows four pieces, loveseat, table, two chairs and cushions. I only received the love seat and table. When I inquired to the seller as to the whereabouts of the chairs, they said they made a mistake in the ad and the 4 piece set was actually $475. I went back and forth with the seller. He offered to sell them to me for $100 more. I contacted Houzz. After two weeks of CONSTANTLY calling and emailing me, they said their solution was to refund my money, take the set back (after I disassembled it, of course) and refund my money. To apologize they would offer me 10% off! Are they kidding? My other option was to wait a month for the chairs that are advertised to ship in 7-10 days. The seller said he was out of stock, yet they are advertising them to be in stock. Someone is getting lied to here! The sellers are unscrupulous and Houzz is no better... stay away!

No tracking info other than a bogus email saying the order had shippped! Two weeks later I tried to track. Forgetaboutit! There is no tracking because it didn't SHIP! And thier online form that is suppose to get you tracking info gets you in a maze, basically thier complaint department! Total BS!

I made an order with this company on Sept. 8 and I was supposed to receive my order between Sept. 14-18. Three weeks have passed since the date of delivery and I haven't received my item yet. In response to my follow-ups with the company, they just apologize and keep delay the date of delivery. At the end, I wanted to cancel the order and get my money back but they said I couldn't because the item was on the way. REALLY? I called to talk to the manager but they kept me waiting on the line so long that the phone got disconnected. DON'T shop with them. They are extremely disorganized and make false promises.

I order this NYRangers sports couch cause it looked good in their picture. At the bottom of the couch it is stitched in their New York Rangers. In the couch that was sent to me it is a little patch sewn in there that says New York Rangers. That is a picture of my couch the sent me and this link will be the couch that is used for pictures on their website
You can Google New York Ranger Couch and see a picture of what I thought I was getting.
The delivery men told us also we should have up graded our service for them to bring it in our house. I should have read these reviews before I purchased here. My bad but I got it now!

Advertisers Beware!

We worked with Jason to begin advertising on Houzz. He assured us that it was a month to month commitment and that we could cancel any time if we weren't seeing results. After 3 months, we realized that we has not received any leads from Houzz and contacted them to cancel. Apparently, Jason sneakily suckered us into signing a 12 month contract. He is so unprofessional. Do not advertise with them! You will get no leads and be suckered into a 12 month contract!

Houxx is a lie

First of all, they contract out do it isnt really from houzz. After I wrote my disappointing review, they have sent me an email saying they moved it to a different review area. But they actually deleted it. They are a fraud. They remove unwNted reviews. Instead of helping consumers with true facts, they hide them to gain more customers. I promise never to shop them again.

Unable to purchase product listed.

Website does not allow me to purchase listed item. Spoke to customer service. They confirmed that there is a problem with the listing. I feel they should have set to follow up to let me know when product listing problem was remedied. I have been checking a few times a day. This problem is discouraging me from puchasing this item, which is not in Houzz' interests

Unacceptable!

Unacceptable! Emailing my contacts without my permission!
I singed up to Houzz through gmail which required my to grant access to my contacts. It did not state that it would be emailing all my contacts using my name. I understand that I grant access to my contact list but I did not agree for my name to be associated with they're marketing scheme. This is unacceptable!

Evil! This sums up Houzz

I ordered a queen mattress from Houzz and they sent the wrong item and since it was a memory foam mattress once you get it unpacked it expands and you cant really repack it. Well no refund as I wait for the idiot manufacturer to figure out how to get it picked up. After two weeks they tell me that instead I am to donate the mattress in their name to a local charity. So now its incumbent upon me take time out of my schedule to make the calls and the arrangements for a product I didnt order. Oh - here is the topper: the soonest that it can be picked up is two weeks so no refund until after that date and I have to take time off of work to be there for the pick up because they don't pick up after hours. Thanks Houzz you POS!

Be warned just cause it says you will receive your item, it's not true! So disappointed! Ordered a table said it would be delivered 2 weeks after the order date. I can understand, we are now on week 4. VICTOR, the agent I chatted with, was so uncaring about my issue and ended the chat before we were finished. I asked to cancel my order, he said because it was in transit, he wasn't able. Then proceeded to give me the shipping company phone number, so I could track down my table myself. I asked that he contact them for me since I did buy from Houzz. He said he looked on there web site and that was all he needed to do. They might want to teach better CUSTOMER SERVICE! I WILL NEVER Buy from HOUZZ again, and I hope you don't as well. There are plenty of places to buy the same items from, that have great customer service! Very sad!

Do not use Houzz

Do not use Houzz. If you have a problem they will not get back to you. They moved my negative review on their website and they blamed the distributor for the problem. The problem was that they misrepresented themselves on their website.

Their Pro Plus plan was the biggest waste of $250 per month ($3,000 total) that my business has ever spent. Their salespeople willl trick you into signing a 12 month pro plus agreement leading you to believe that HOUZZ is the wave of the future. Then they will assign you an "account manager" who will harass you for 12 months and want to schedule a long drawn out phone conference every month to go over analytics that you can easily review on your own. They want to go over this on the phone to try and confuse you to believe that you are getting more out of HOUZZ than you actually are. What it boils down to is how many people click through to your personal site. For me, it averaged out to $125 per click! My Facebook ads average about SEVEN CENTS per click. Houzz is a total waste of money. You're locked into a contract and then beware because your contract will "auto renew" if you don't cancel. Save yourself the Headache and steer clear of all things HOUZZ.

Fluid. The inventory of items was extent and the quality of choices great. Delivery was ahead of time and assembly was simplified. This design does require time and detail on the wood preservation, but it was worth the design.
