Getting the ancient 'documents help'. Please. I'm sure other people have had this issue. I had to go to facebook to complain and got help from your Facebook team. I want Hostgator to do well. This is a communication issue that should not be there.
I cancelled the Host Gator service and the tech support responded and confirmed the service was cancelled the monthly charge would be removed from my card after 5 business days, but the charge still hasn't been removed from my card.

On 3/12, I purchased a domain from Hostgator, and my banking system confirmed the purchase date and time. However, as of 3/16/23, I still didn't have access to the domain as it was showing as "Pending provisions". I contacted a Hostgator representative via chat who informed me that my domain had been purchased by Sav.com on 3/13, and they now own it.
It's worth noting that I had previously owned the domain for over four years, but it had expired and was out of commission for less than 100 days. On 3/12, I searched for different websites to repurchase the domain and eventually settled on buying it from Hostgator, which charged me for the purchase. Either my search triggered Sav.com to buy the domain, or this is a scam involving both Sav.com and Hostgator.
I am now in a dispute with Hostgator to regain access to the domain, but they cannot assist me without the pin number on my account. I have used the same 4-digit pin number to access similar tech platforms for over two years, but Hostgator claims that the pin number I gave them is incorrect. They suggested resetting the pin by sending a link to the email address on file, which is associated with the expired domain.
Hostgator informed me that the admin department would have to handle this issue, but they could not provide a timeline for when they would contact me.
This situation is alarming because my account, which contains other products, is at risk of being stolen since my pin number has been changed and the domain I paid for has been stolen as well.
Hostgator's customer service used to be reliable, but it took me over 30 minutes to locate the chat box, and when I clicked on "Live chat," it only led me to articles with no link to an actual chat box. I would not recommend using Hostgator and I also advise not trusting Sav.com.
I have used them before with little issue. But this time, I used there system to install my WP site, and it hasn't worked correctly since installation. If continuously throws 404,500 and 504 errors, even though the pages and content exist. So far my website is worthless until they can figure these issues out.

I have just renewed my 3 year contract with HostGator as I have found them a brilliant hosting company with excellent customer service every time I have contacted them. Their support team have always been able to resolve any problems at the first contact I made with the team. Their C-panel is also very good and easy to use. Over the first three years I have never experienced any down time of my website apart from any maintenance procedures they inform me about and that is always done in a quick time. I have used several other hosting sites but HostGator is still the best and I will be renewing my 3 year contract again when it becomes due.
It is one of the worst hosting providers, me and my friends have the same issue. They infect sites with malware and try to sell other security services. Each and every single time I clean codes and they again inject malware codes to infect my sites. The same happened to my other friends. They do not even try to help you and pretend to be so smart to sell sitelock feature.

The absolute worse service I have ever received. My incoming and outgoing emails were down for an entire week. I called into the customer service on so many occasions and each time I was given a different excuse as to why my emails were not working. The customer service is horrendous. You don't get any real help. They hang up on you and never solve your problem.

I have several websites for each specialty that I offer and for some reason when I built this one there was something wrong with a plugin that kept locking me out. The tech support was very patient and got me back into the website which had locked me out. It kept happening, so I eventually had to start the entire website over from scratch, after literally reaching out for support four times. This was the first time I needed extensive tech support in the several years that I have been working with this hosting company. Also, I love that they keep adding new features. I appreciate the SSL certificates. I was a total novice when I first started with hostgator and I remember having a lot of questions in the very beginning even though I had read the website information because the concepts were still new to me and they were very patient then as well.
It's been excellent so far. I've experienced no downtime. Everything has been easy to find and understand. This was all new to me when I started and HostGator made learning easier on me.
