Not Go, that's for sure. Got tired of getting charged for every little thing, so switched to HostGator a few years ago. Decent rates, good tech support, free SSLs and email accounts, etc. Highly recommended!
I went back to Hostgator after I tried some of their competitors. I usually operate on a shoestring budget and "yes" there are hosting companies that are a wee bit cheaper - but once every year or two a problem will arise that I require help and/or action, super quickly and without dramatic head-banging and hair-pulling etc.
Hostgator is there, instantly, and I don't have to "draw them a picture" to explain the problem - they intuitevely get right to the point and quickly fix it or otherwise advise me how to quickly fix it.
Resolving any issue seems painless with HostGator. With other companies I have been very frustrated just trying to explain the entire problem at hand - and often realize I am communicating with someone who is less knowledgeable than myself (and I'm just a weekend warrior). Then about 3 days later I will finally get to communicate with a proficient problem-solver.
But with HostGator, I immediately can communicate with a proficient problem solver that listens to my entire problem (doesn't cut me off half-way and start assuming they understand the problem fully...).

It appears by the hundreds of phone calls I have had since I registered 4americans2day,net. You have sold my phone number to every wordpress designer in the world, I have 10 more domains to transfer, but I am sitting on that until I find a better solution, And don't forget this, I have literally owned hundreds of domains in my life time. But I never had this kind privacy invasion. I can't afford privacy on all my domains.
I've never had the exact problem I had with getting this site migrated to Host Gator - in fact, I gave up on trying to migrate it and I'm just rebuilding the site from the ground up which has been tedious and frustrating.

I've found Wordpress kind of hard to work with and you guys haven't been the greatest at helping me to figure it out. Very much hit and miss with your technical people with some of them obviously not being very motivated to help...
Non-existent customer support. Waited over an hour for a rep in online chat. They require you to pay for hosting just to be able to modify your DNS records. I have never heard of that before in all my years reserving domains! - David Shapiro (I always put my name as I stand behind any review I would post)

In my second interaction with their support, they were amazingly helpful, very responsive and knowledgeable. I spoke to a colleague who also uses their service and she raves about them so I will attribute my first bad experience as an anomaly and change my review from 1 star to 5 stars.

I was a customer before for years. I left for about a year when I retired for a lower cost program. Big mistake! So now I am back on HostGator. Not been perfect, but a huge improvement.
I thought it was a good choice, but instead of a stable service we received almost a month of websites full of errors, just now it appears that the sites are working fine, but no one mailed me to tell me the fix is already done.
Accidently chosen the wordpress. Becuase it does not offer the services metnioned in their plane on the website.
Business Plan now e-Commerce Plan has been following offerings:
1.Unlimited disk space: It is limited to 20 GB and 100,000 files which.
2. $500 Google Ad spend match credit AND $100 Microsoft Advertising credit: It is a joke
3. Cloudflare CDN: yet not configured
4. Dedicated IP address: I have enabled after requesting the support.
Where do I begin? I wanted to have 2 domains transferred from GoDaddy to Hostgator but wanted to have the emails migrated first. Was not successful in getting that done and all I keep getting sent is a migration document where I have no website for these domains just emails. Then I was told after paying over $300+ I could not use Weebly so I was charged more money to get a downgraded version that cost me more. I was told no money I could use the credits but I was still billed. Then I Was told to process through Paypal and when that didn't work I was told to wait for a while to try again. I still have not received any credits, my emails or any working domains. I got a call from someone who said they were from Hostgator and when I unleashed on them about my problems they dismissed it and offered web design services which I don't need. I am NOT HAPPY and am considering taking my business elsewhere as of now I feel all my information and materials have been hijacked and it makes me feel vulnerable that I have been scammed out of unnecessary money and time. Please Change my mind before I go elsewhere. The recommendation I was given to switch to host gator has not been a pleasant experience at all and I am truly disappointed.
We have 2 domains we are trying to get transferred and no one seems able to get back to us. We know we need a redirect on one domain so it reaches the other domain.
