Extremely slow server! I've had to call tech support to see why my site which is very basic, so slow. I am a web developer and designer and I know how to optimize my site and images and I can tell you that it was NOT my website that was making the site run slow. Eventually the tech made some changes and cleared the cache and finally the website was back to normal. Sadly, this was not the first time either. So yes, if I am paying for a service, I expect it to to work correctly 100% of the time.
We were billed around 120 bucks for what they called "PREBILLING for next year"

We called in and tried to get it credited, they said they would credit it back by the time they did the account was closed, and now it cant be refunded

I've been using HostGator to host 2 of my websites for over 3 years. It's been a great experience. I'm not super techy, so I have to often contact their customer support. And they come through each time. The response time is fast and the service is efficient. They send payment reminders on time too, but everyone does that. The hosting and domains are reliable as well. Haven't had any problems so far. Hope to continue with them for a long time if they can maintain their services.
I was very grateful for the help that was provided. They were very informative and great at explaining what needed to be done to fix the issue I had.

Time for support. The average support call based on the 7 calls that I have completed is 37 mins. Way to long. Most of the techs cannot resolve the call on their own and have to reach out to other groups to resolve the issue.

There was a bit of confusion on how to get the site live. And there was a problem with the SSL not recognizing the site however thanks to customer service these issues were fixed.
The set up of the site is good and easy to navigate.
