I bought a flight paying extra for free cancelation and rebook. I canceled the return flight and my credit, confirmed by three hopper agents in different days was 477USD. To use to book any other flight, any other destination, just with the same airflight
When I tried to use the credit the agent said I had $200 credit!
I refused and a second agent took over a d said I had $454
By that time I already have retrieved my conversations when I did the cancelation and screenshots with all the details
I've sent it to the agents and took 5 agents more and 8 days for them to acknowledge my credit
The flight I wanted to book went from $957 to $1804. Hopper didn't offer to pay the difference.
I find another flight and they tell me that they can only book the return flight I canceled!
I complained and they said they will book my new requested flights... I was left alone in the conversation.
After a whole evening trying to find a good flight, I wasted all that time
My VIP service was canceled, my "redeem your credit" option to book by my own with my existing credit is gone
I can't use my credit without the agents
One month is gone and I still can't redeem the credit I paid for
This is the second time this happens to me
So, if you pay a higher ticket so you can cancel the flight and rebook... First take screenshot of everything and make sure the agents name the conditions for redeem as expiration date, limitations on rebooking, fees, amount available... And even with all that, you will have to fight agents saying
"This what the system shows, I can't do more"
Be ready to fight 7 agents for days and loose the flights you want to take, they will raise their prices before you have solved the issue with hopper
I booked using hopper and they put a hold on my money and the flight isn't booked! I have a family emergency Friday that I needed to fly out to see my sick aunt. Now my money is gone and have to wait 2-10 business days. My aunt will be deceased by then! You can't call and speak to anyone and customer support is rude and of no help! Worst mistake ever!

Money well spent! (Not even that much money too!) I have been living on the road for 6 months relying on Hopper to get me everywhere from the east coast to the west of Canada and down to Mexico and back. Amazing customer service, reliable and affordable with great perks :)
Hopper is a scam period do not book. On one occasion they took my money for a hotel and didn't book me. I got my money back but it was hard because there is no customer care number. The next incident is a horrible nightmare motel which had no hot water. Hopper would not give my money back they sided with this hotel which had molded beds no hot water roaches no smoke detectors Crack heads and unstable ppl running around all types of night. Hopper still sided wit them after I showed the room I was in. And told them about the hot water. They didn't care and would not refund my money. Hopper is a scam al there hidden charges. That fake cash they give you is straight BS. Do not book with them!

Hoppper is the absolute biggest ripoff! They ARE NOT FREE, they charge you a fee to freeze the flight and the fee is just about as much as the ticket itself! Useless, run the other way before you get scammed too!,

Overall I was help the person was very helpful and patient with me and empathize with me. The best thing a person can ask for
Hotel is willing to cancel my reservation and refund me 100% But because i bought it theough hopper they will not refund me back and will keep the money! The cancelation was because of COVID and they still not willing to refund me back not even partially. Which means why use hoper if you call straight to the hotel and make your reservation? Never again

This app is horrible, they have additional hidden charges that are not clearly identified and you must deselect them because they automatically apply them, they even ask for a tip and once they have your card on file all it takes is a swipe to withdraw funds for charges you may not be agreeable to. The customer service is a farse the process is via hidden pathways that ultimately come through emails and they limit the time you have to respond, they don't have anyone to take phone calls - if you do take the time to research and make a call you will go through another convoluted process to just get disconnect by them in the end. They are not getting you any deals (you'll probably be paying more) and you will find the same or better pricing by going through the airlines directly.

This app is total bs. I booked a room that was suppose to be $56. They charged my card $166 with all their hidden fees. I coulda got the room straight from the hotel for $73. Total ripoff

Have a booking for 2 passengers and want to cancel the booking for 1 person. There is only an option to cancel the entire thing. I don't want to do that. However, when requesting cancellation info I am told that i will be sent an email within 5-10 minutes with refund/credit options. The email never comes. It feels like this should be a simple request to take care of but because there is no way to actually speak to a person I am left having no idea what to do. I've used hopper many times before and have been generally pleased, but now when I want to make the simplest of modifications, there is no way for me to do it and I am going to be very disappointed if I just lose out on the money. Find a way to accommodate special requests! You need to have a phone number! This is beyond frustrating and feels like a trap!

I booked at QUERQUE HOTEL and prepaid. At check in I learned they don't allow local residents to book. They said they would refund my money BUT they wouldn't give me any proof of the refund?! I called my bank and there was no record of a reversal of charges. I called Hopper and immediately they opened a ticket. I filled out the ticket and within minutes they called the hotel to advocate on my behalf. Hopper also communicated with me by email. It was all resolved lightening quick and I was able to book elsewhere and relax. Turns out the manager who promised the refund didn't process it properly. The front desk clerk took care of it, after all. Thank you Hopper for successfully and quickly resolving my problem.
Be sure to completely understand the policy behind the services you buy! Read the small print. Each service has a different policy for its use and application. Don't get tricked!
Sassa deserves a high rating but until I get my other issues fixed im giving them a low rating she sassa gets a 5 star rating but Hooper gets a low rating until the issue that I put in on a property that scammed us for 170 saying we broke things that we didn't break and took almost all of our 200 deposit the Sierra property is a scam don't use there property they steal your deposit and are very unprofessional they take your security deposit and lie saying you break things that you didn't this is what they said we did the lawn chair was broken and never even used it I want my money back
Do not book any flights through them or buy any of their insurance. Booked my flight and purchased flight delay guarantee and they won't give me a refund bc my delay is THREE MINUTES short of the required time, which is different for every flight may I add. When I booked my flight I had to call AA bc they couldn't find my booking information. They said this happens all the time when booking through hopper. It's not worth the time, and the flights aren't cheaper. Absolute TRASH. They also take 20 minutes to respond to any customer service inquiries and that's per text not just wait time. And good luck if you try to call them. Their automation tells you to go to the app and hangs up.

Worst decision I ever made was to book my travel on Hopper! Terrible customer service if any. It is impossible to get in touch with a live agent. They keep sending me emails that they are not able to reach the airline to resolve my issue and when I try reaching out to the airline personally, I cannot get to speak to anyone because the automated message keeps asking the question "do you want to be transferred to a live agent" and when I say "yes", it thanks me for calling and hangs up on me. I have no idea what I should do and Hopper is not helping. Complete Chaos!

I paid prize freeze fee of 180$ for 2 airline tickets hopper said it was a deposit and when i completed my booking a fee days after it still stated it was a deposit and owed 247$ per ticket come to find out after completing booking information that hopper scammed me with prize freeze fee. I paid the 336$ per ticket which was whole amount and i have tried contacting hopper but no answer just sends me to the app with help articles. I want a refund for the scam and they dont want to refund me

I will continue to use Hopper's services because they have yet to fail me. I have used Hopper's rental, hotel & flight services on many occasions, even when airlines try to adjust/change my original flight plans Hopper's staff members are always there to inform me about any changes and will communication back with the airlines to make sure I (their customer) am receiving the best deal.
This is a company that steps up when they say they will and has your back, takes the lead to resolve issues that get complicated and they have the best company representatives i have ever seen, they're that good.
They change my reservation(at my request) with added perks at no add'l cost and did it happily, took charge and made things happen to resolve any of my issues and reassured me when I was unsure, asking a lot of questions, they never made me feel like I was a burden. Bravo!
Answer: File a claim with your bank. They charged me An additional 2 nights after hopper said they would refund my money. Instead they went without my consent n charged me an additional 2 nights. I was robbed for a total of 3 nights. Without being able to contact any support. A total Scam!
Answer: No they are about polar opposite of trustworthy. Run don't walk away from this company. My lesson cost $1435 dollars. If you require customer service look elsewhere they have none. Not even a phone number which is the first red flag.
